Pie heaven had the best chicken pot pie, key lime pie and chocolate pie I've ever had. The crust was buttery and flavorful. I feel like it wasn't as crisp, mainly because the pies were pre made in lager batches. It was still very very good! I took another pot pie for take out. The key lime pie was phenomenal. The filling was perfect and it was a beautiful balance between sweet, tart and creamy. I loved the texture of the graham cracker crust too. The service was great, there is a 15% military discount and a portion of the earnings go to feeding starving children around the world. Would come back probably in the next 3 days. More...

What a super cute place with friendly service and heavenly pies. The ladies who own this bakery are adorable and so very funny. We learned about Pie Heaven from their amusing self made videos on Facebook and finally took the drive out to Mayport to buy some pies. We wanted every single one on the pie status list, they all look so tempting. But we just two of us, we had to make choices. We settled on one full savory, chicken pot pie, one full sweet, salted caramel apple, and slices of chocolate and margarita key lime. Sadly they had just sold out of the salted caramel apple, but we were happy to take a regular apple pie. OH MY... they were all so amazing. We started with our slices because we could just not wait. The chocolate on a pastry crust was so rich and creamy and the key lime with a graham cracker crust had just the right amount of tang and actually tasted like a good margarita. So yummy. We heated up the chicken pot pie for dinner and it was beautiful. We wouldn't have minded a little more gravy but at the same time appreciated it being packed full of good chicken and vegetables with fresh herbs. The apple pie tasted like fresh picked apples cooked up perfectly and not too sweet. The pastry crust is so perfect, light and delicate but sturdy enough to stand up to the hearty filling and flavor. These homemade pies cost more than your regular grocery store pies, but they are absolutely worth the price and the drive out to Mayport to get them. We will be back for more of the fruit, fluffy top, and savory pies. More...

A little piece of country heaven where you know the pies are made from scratch. Their chicken pot pie almost rivals my own. Love the friendly welcoming environment. I think they are a little pricey for the size of their servings but I believe it's because a portion of the money goes for donation to kids in need. Also they have a business to run. More...

Happy pie day!!  No doubt about it, these pies are delicious.  Come out on 3/14 and get the best deals on their pies at $3.14 a slice (limit 4).  If you come any other day of the year, ya, you'll probably pay more but the tender loving baking care that goes into each pie delivers some yummy bites.  Don't let the run down little building prevent you from placing a pie order.  There's space for about 9 seats inside... and on pie day, they set up an outside tent to hold another 8 seats.Eat dessert first. We took out two individual chicken pot pies and slices of blueberry pie, apple pie & chocolate pie. Everything was completely delicious! Linda was sweet and helpful and I loved that our take out cake with reheating directions. The chicken pot pie is something we will definitely come back for and I'm dreaming of that chocolate pie! Both were the best we've had. This is local gem and we wish we tried it sooner! More...

We used Pie Heaven instead of Wedding Cake for our Wedding in April. As soon as we told guests we were having pies, they were instantly thrilled...and come the wedding day, no one was disappointed --Well only people who didn't grab the Bourbon Pecan fast enough! They were very easy to work with having a larger order, they were full of personality and they're just wonderful ladies who make delicious pies. I go into purist mode when trying a new place, making a decision based on what's offered. I decided on custard pie, as most are heavy on the sugar but lack the creamy but light texture of a perfectly baked custard- slightly jiggly, not runny, creamy, but cooked through, not to mention a crust perfectly baked and not soggy where you couldn't hold a slice with your bare hands. These women know their pies, and it shows- From the ingredients to the service and presentation. Great pie needs no extra embellishment to cover misgivings. More...

The hard part is trying to figure out what pie you want. HAP-PIE hour is from 2-5.. 2 slices for the price of one. I was there with a group for lunch. Started off with the Quiche Lorraine.. Delicious! Followed by chocolate bourbon pecan pie... superb! Not sweet...just right. I ended up taking home two individual shepherds pie and one chicken pot pie, both yummy and full of flavor just wish it was a little bigger. Also ending up with a slice of coconut pie and a whole Cherry pie. Love the crust!
Warm and friendly atmosphere, home made pies, nothing fancy just good pies. I applaud the two women for doing what they love.

We have driven by this little gem so many times, always curious to try it. My mother-in-law's birthday was the perfect reason to finally go in. We got the last apple pie and a slice of key lime pie.

Oh. My. Gosh! Amazing! The crust is to die for, I could eat that alone. The filling was perfect. It was firm but still gooey, the apples still had bite but were cooked perfectly and the spice was just right, not overwhelming. The cinnamon accented the apple, it didn't take it over. And did I mention that flaky, buttery crust? Yum!!!

The key lime was crazy good. The crust was rich and buttery, tasting like a cookie and the little bits of key lime rind added that brightness that a good key lime needs.

The customer service was fantastic. They answered my questions and were so delightful!

The shop has some cute tables with red checkered tablecloths. My husband will definitely be back for a slice with some coffee!

So ever since I moved here 2 years ago and saw that sign I’ve been wanting to go here- me and my husband are moving and HAD to try it! This cute little spot has adorable home type feeling! We tried the strawberry rhubarb and key lime pie. These pies are full of flavor but aren’t over poweringly sweet which we LOVED. The pies themselves are pretty! Key lime had a beautiful glaze and the strawberry rhubarb had a cute flower made of crust! Most key limes are super bitter and sour but they balanced it perfectly! When my Red Hat group lunched at The Cafe a few months ago, they offered us a Day Box (2 small savory pies and 2 slices of dessert pies for $20). Last week I wanted to take one to a friend's home as she was having surgery. I called to order one and was told they don't do that anymore. I asked if they had any current specials? A nice 'home-y' place. Very friendly staff. The can explain how all the pies are prepared/made. The wife is obsessed with the chicken pot pie. Their crust, in general, is fairly thick, soft, and flakey. But the pot pie IS pretty flavorful. Every bite has chicken in it. There are vegetables in it and it's not 'soup-y' inside. They also have a bunch of variety of pies that changes quite regularly, and some are seasonal fruits. They also have pies with meringue on top. They offer chocolate pies too! They also have quiche and Shepard's pie! This visit we had chocolate pie, Shepard's pie, and chicken pot pie. Delish! The Shepard's pie is very beefy and have nice creamy mashed potatoes on top. The only thing is that it's SO savory we could only eat half lol. So we switched over to the chicken pot pie after eating half of the Shepard's. But, nonetheless, we enjoy the variety of pies this place has to offer. The only disadvantage I see is that cost per slices ranges from about 5,8-10 dollars a slice. Whole pies ranges from $30-35, I believe? The portions are pretty small for that price, in my honest opinion. For example the pot pie in my picture is about 3-4inches. Pretty small, though it's so delicious! But for what it is, the pies are good! If the slices were bigger or cost goes down, we could see ourselves coming in more frequent. So, for now, we just come in every once in a while. Thanks for the great pies! More...

Holy wow! I drove 35 minutes to get this specially made pie. Totally worth the drive. It's a cute little house with small tables inside if you want to eat inside. I needed a strawberry banana pie. I literally called 10 bakeries, none did pies, or if they did, they didn't special order. The ladies on the phone asked me exactly what I expected. They made it perfectly. I remembered graham cracker crust, they freshly ground the crust, clearly that morning. I thought the fluff tasted tart and she made it with cream cheese. They blended fresh strawberries and mixed in bananas and strawberries and placed on top. I'm just so happy, I can't wait to go back and try more. They have many flavors daily. They sell in 6 or 9 inch pies, also slices! They had a meat pot pie and quiche Lorraine! Thank you!!! More...

Just like grandma used to make.  These pies are so good.  So good that my parents are regulars.  It's not mandatory that when I come to town, we get some slices or even better order a banana cream pie.  We've had all of the sweet pies, nothing savory, but our favorites are the triple berry, caramel apple and strawberry rhubarb.  The ingredients that they use in these pies are top notch, it doesn't get any better.  Somehow I feel better about myself when I get that organic cherry slice.  They use only real butter in their pie crust and it is SO good.  That crust melts in your mouth and is what really sets this place apart. This place is a hidden GEM! I have tried the apple pie, chicken pot pie, pecan, and country chocolate! If you want a traditional high quality pie, this is YOUR place. Of course, for the price of one slice you can technically get a whole pie from Publix. But... let's be real. The personal attention in each pie and time required to make everything from scratch is reflective on the price you pay! You will never be disappointed on the slice you eat! Everything was so fresh and amazing. The quiche was simply out of this world with fresh mushrooms, bell peppers, spinach and just the right amount of cheese. After having this place bookmarked for a while, I decided to head over there for their new creation - a pineapple cream pie - that I'd seen in one of their advertisements.I happened to go on a great day as the whole pies were going for $22 instead of $33, as per a Facebook post. And, I went in the middle of happy hour which has a buy one, get one pie slice special. It really was wonderful timing!Given that it was hot outside, I thought that a pineapple cream pie would be great for a sweet and cool treat. The owner told me that she created a pineapple pudding with whipped cream folded in and she added whipped cream and pineapples on top. As they only had one left for the afternoon, I had called in to put the pie on hold. When I arrived, it was ready for me. I also decided to get the country chocolate and apple pie slices. While I waited for my pies to be boxed up, I tried a sample of the coconut custard pie and a pinwheel made from their crust. The pies were all good but the country chocolate was my favorite. The filling was rich and creamy and it was the sweetest of the three pies. The unsweetened crust balanced the whole thing out well. I enjoyed the pineapple cream pie but the filling needed a little more punch as it was pretty "one note" and the apple pie could've used some more cinnamon and sugar and less crust. I look forward to coming back to try their savory pies and perhaps more of their dessert pies. More...

Yum! Yum! Yum! This place is a pie heaven for sure! You'll be hard pressed to find a place this like! RD like visiting grandmas house for homemade goodies and comfort foods. Delicious!!! They have both sweet and savory pies that are made fresh on site. They even have a HAPPY HOUR! Seating is available at small tables in the dining area. They were really sweet and helpful. They had some small samples in the front. They have a board where they list the fresh pies they have. They sell by the slice and they sell by the pie. It looks like they even do holiday orders - I saw an order form on the counter. If I lived close by you better believe I would be bringing these pies to parties and holiday gatherings throughout the year!!! It had a really hometown vibe. Not a franchise in ANY WAY. It really feels like you're at their house, but they just don't bother you while you eat. I'm not sure if they have coffee but they did have water bottles! I decided last minute I wanted a pie instead of cake for a (same day) birthday party, and was lucky enough to stumble upon this gem. Right after 4th of July, I knew I was taking a chance in even asking, but was fortunate enough to get a quick reply from Anita (who I assume to be the owner). Wow! She was so kind and willing to bake one right away after a quick telephone conversation. I swung by a couple hours later and picked up the strawberry pie as it was coming out of the oven. This pie, hands down, was the most delicious I have ever tried! The crust was perfect, the filling was fresh and just the perfect amount of sweet. A little less than 24 hours later and there is not a crumb left. It was a hit! I am beyond grateful for her prompt and courteous service and so thankful that she has chosen to serve the public with her baking talents. Called this bakery from my home in Boston to see about getting a fresh peach or strawberry pie delivered for my stepfather's milestone birthday at his home in Jacksonville, a few days hence.  Anita came to my aid, consulted on which fruit was in season (and sealed the deal when she said the peaches were from Georgia and so was she), and promised to investigate the logistics of desired delivery -- how, who and how much -- and get back to me, which she did that same day.  Paid via an emailed invoice which kept my card number private.  Not only did my father (and mother) get his birthday pie in time, Anita the baker included a personalized birthday card that she kindly signed on my behalf as well.  And how was the pie, you ask?  Well, my stepdad weighed in thus: when they bit into this peach pie, he could tell the fruit was from Georgia and Heaven both, as they heard the divine strains of banjos and violins in harmony at once!  Described the crust as buttery and homemade, the filling as natural and not over-sweetened as commercial varieties so often are.  And that's how it's possible to turn my Jacksonville relatives on to a new local business from the distance of Boston, making me look like a psychic genius and covering me with glory.  Thanks, Anita and Pie Heaven helpers!  When I next visit your town I will pester the parents to take me to your little slice of paradise so I can sample your divine wares myself. I had read about this place when it first opened, but living in another part of Jacksonville it took a while to get here. After taking my kids on the St Johns River Ferry, this was the perfect stop for a treat. We ordered a slice of Apple, Organic Cherry and Country Chocolate. They cut six slices to a pie, so they were large portions. So much so that we had to get a box to take the rest home!  Really yummy pies. My only suggestion is to find a way to serve the fruit pies at room temperature rather than out of the fridge. The chocolate pie was very smooth and creamy. Made a special trip with my daughter for a look at the selection of pies for the day.   While we had fun perusing the menu, we settled on the two we came to try:Country Chocolate PieChicken Pot PieNow, these are not inexpensive so if you are not sure of your selection, you can buy individual slices and try them before buying a full pie. We splurged, bought whole pies and were really glad we did. The Country Chocolate was decadent rich and delightfully sweet without overdoing the chocolate or the sweetness. A little goes a long way because it is so rich. The Chicken Pot Pie was exactly the opposite. While it was delicious, savory with a hint of sweetness, I could have done with a double portion. Of course, I probably needed more than one pie to satisfy my two teens, but unlike the chocolate pie, I could have had more. Either way, a lot of good choices. Possibly a little rich on the prices, but when you deliver good products like the ones we tried, you pay for quality. More...

We were greeted by a very friendly woman (the owner) who filled us in on how to order and what was available. We tried several slices: Key Lime, Country Chocolate and Triple Berry. All were delicious. You could absolutely tell that the pies are homemade... they were delicious! After months of trying to find a dessert that is "worth it" in a place other than my own kitchen... This is it!! Our favorite was the Key Lime pie (my husband deemed it the best key lime pie he's had in years!) but the others were also delicious. We were so impressed that we ordered a slice of the Organic Pumpkin pie and a whole Chicken Pot Pie to take home and share with our children. We will be back and we can't wait to try what other delicious pies Pie Heaven has to offer! More...

The Gluten Free Strawberry Rhubarb pie we got here to celebrate Canada Day was unbelievably good. It was like a little piece of home. I have never had pie crust so flakey! I don't care if the pies are pricey as noted by some reviewers, when the quality is this good. More...

Just love the owners of this fine establishment. Today we split the biggest slice of homemade apple pie and tried so hard not to take a chicken pot pie home and ruin our diet.  Always smells so good in there and the pies are worth the wait.  Oh and now they have pressed organic coffee.  So good.  I would suggest that you call and preorder your pies. I have been looking for over a yr for a place that makes real homemade pies. This is the place. It is small inside, but well worth it. The pies are so good and you can tell the are made by someone that knows what they are doing.  We got the peach and country chocolate. They were both so good. Real fresh fruit was uses. And the crust, omg the crust was so delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for real homemade pies. More...

Ooooohhhhhhh heaven is the right name! I have tried a few more pies: pumpkin, pecan, custard and French lemon. Dear Father God, thank you! The pies are never overly sweet, the pecan pie has officially REDEFINED the bar altogether, I was talking to myself the whole time I was eating, sooooooo yummy. The French Lemon was sublime and has me considering a flight to Jacksonville just for another bite of it; the pumpkin was just right and not very sweet which was great, and the custard was deliciously velvety! This place is INCREDIBLE. You can't go wrong and I will never stop raving about the service these ladies give: top notch A-class!My new favorite gig in Duval. Can't wait to go back!!!!! I hope they start mailing these goodies too one day!!! More...

This place popped up on my radar earlier this year as the reviews started showing up. And then I figured out where it was when we found ourselves in Mayport one Sunday afternoon. Picked up a slice of the bourbon pecan pie & a mini chicken pot pie. Not the biggest fan of pecan pie, but PHBC makes a good argument for why I should be. Plenty of flavor packed into this healthy slice. Still not my first choice for pie flavors, but if you're a fan of pecan pies, you'll probably love this one.I was, however, impressed with the chicken pot pie. One day I will order a whole one. On a cheat day. In the very distant future. It was so rich and ten times better than the one's you can find at the grocery store. I've made chicken pot pie from scratch before, but it didn't turn out anywhere near as good as this one. I will definitely keep them in mind when my mom sends me to buy pies for the holidays. I'm not a pie person. I like chocolate and ice cream if I'm going to have a sweet treat. But this place has totally changed that! Got a slice of pecan and apple cranberry and LOVED them both. The apple cranberry was my favorite. The crust is soo moist but flaky at the same time - I cannot wait to go back and try more! I will definitely be ordering a party pie for the holidays too! I'm in Awe at the astounding customer Service and professionalism I received today. Never in my life has someone been more gracious. I really felt like this a part of my family. Not to mention her and my Aunt have the same name. :) i'm not bias I swear. MY FACEBOOK POST: (Keep in Mind, I'm in California)My wasn't around this year to celebrate her Birthday, SO I contacted a Local bakery Pie Heaven Bakery Cafe and spoke with the owner Anita, who went above and beyond. First off they're handmade, ontop of that Anita went out of her way to find a delivery service that could deliver today. My Mom and Aunties/uncle just got them. The pies are still warm.  Thank you so much Anita, you really made my moms Birthday. Comfort foods....  #lemonmeringuepie #chickenpotpieFrom my family to yours Thank you! I will have to come see you and your Bakery when I'm out there next year. I'm jealous they get to enjoy all your amazing food without me. lolHey Mom how are the pies? "Beyond Delicious" More...

The name is apt. This is literally Pie Heaven. We each had a slice on the spot and each got a slice to go. I had Apple Pie both times because I love apple pie. My wife had Coconut Cream Pie and a lemon pie whose name I forget.Everything was awesome! The folks that run the place are friendly, too!Next time I am near Mayport I will get a whole pie to go! We drove by this little place the day we went out to Singleton's. Unfortunately - or fortunately  - they weren't open that day; otherwise, my wife would have taken a hard right and we would have perused their offerings. To my surprise she went on a reconnaissance mission for cherry pie, but came home with a savory cousin for dinner. I fault her 90-mph personality for not realizing the mini-pie truly was a MINI pie. She did have a point it would allow us to try the chicken pot pie and determine if we would  get another one in the future. WIth reheating instructions in hand (and a little bit of extra roux) she started to 'cook' dinner. The pie browned nicely in the oven and as we cut into it, we were happy to discover it was a thick gravy rather than a soupy gravy like you can get in the frozen variety. It was chock-full of veggies and the crust was buttery delicious. We both prefer a little more tooth in our crust, so we might let it bake a little longer next time. While my heart was torn she went without me, I'm glad I got to taste. I'm looking forward to going back. They offer quiches, savory pies, and sweet pies. You can buy most of them by the slice. They have mini-pies for some of their savory pies and full pies for most of their delicacies. You can find the different flavors they have on their website, however, you really won't know what they have ready for your tastebuds until you get there. They have a board on the counter letting you know what they have available to bite into or to take home for later. Do yourself a favor and go a little bit out of your way to find some 'made with love' treats. More...

If it were physically possible to eat pie for every meal without your organs shutting down, I would eat only Pie Heaven. Come to think of it, they do offer savory pies in addition to their huge selection of dessert pies, so this might be doable. We sampled slices of the apple, mixed berry and strawberry rhubarb. Were they good? No, they were great! Also tried their pinwheels, which were light and crunchy spirals of buttery pie crust. It was pie without the filling and it was amazing. I wouldn't blame you for balking at paying $6 for a single slice of pie, but one taste and you'll realize it's worth every penny. More...

This place is outstanding! The pie is to die for and the folks that run the place are fantastic. I showed up an hour and a half after they closed. I was sitting in my car reading their hours, when the owner tapped on the window, telling me to come on in. I went in and she advised that they  "understand pie emergencies".Don't miss this place. So I heard about this place a couple of months ago. It took me awhile to get to it b/c I don't live in the area. Very seldom to I visit the Mayport/Atlantic Beach area. I got off work early and decided to finally take a drive and visit. I am so glad I did. The place is easy to find. You can't miss the blue building with the big Pie Heaven Bakery Cafe sign. The have a couple parking spaces on the side of the building. But not too many. When you walk in the have like a chalk board menu to the right. With pieces of paper attached to it, showing their menu of pies and drinks that they offer. Also on the counter, they have a "Ready Now" menu that shows pies that are already ready to but. Either the pies can be purchased whole (9"), mini's (5") or by the slice. I decided to try three. I purchased the Coconut Custard, Triple Berry & Bourbon Pecan Pie. The Triple Berry by far was my favorite. You can taste the freshness of all the berries. Like the berries were picked minutes before they were put into the pie. This pie uses blueberries, blackberries & raspberries. The Bourbon Pecan pie had a nice hint of bourbon followed by the the crunchiness of the pecans. Brought me back to my youth when I would eat my grandmothers pecan pie. I rarely eat coconut pies, but the Coconut Custard was really good. Not to sweet, very fresh and melted in your mouth. With so many good looking pies on their list. This place will be my pie hot spot for awhile. If you give them a call they can prepare a pie for you ahead of time, if it's not on their Ready Now menu. This place is still new & I think a hidden gym. I feel that will change very soon. This secret will definitely get out! More...

This is the best dessert in Jacksonville.  It is difficult to imagine better slices of pie anywhere.  Each time I've visited, the crust has been absolutely perfect, which is not always the case with excellent bakeries and patisseries.  While I could rave about their pies generally, I would rate the following flavors against any pie anywhere (and I mean anywhere in the world!):  bourbon pecan; margarita key lime; French lemon.  One day I hope to try some of their savory items, as well as another flavor of pie.  I doubt that I will be disappointed! I came here when they started up the bakery. Pie Heaven creates wonderful pies, I've tried the chicken pot pie and it was the best I've ever had! The crust was the best part, they don't use any fake chemicals in their food, but organic products which you can really taste the difference. The fruit pies are always juicy and they usually make them when they are in season. Anita, the owner, helps make the atmosphere in the store fun, friendly and an enjoyable experience. All the people that work here are polite and customer service is excellent! The menu changes every week and its always fun to try new pies. I have special ordered some pies from, like the key lime pie. I bought it for my girl friends father and he definitely approved of it! It was one of the best Key Lime pies that he's tasted. It is the only pie shop in Jacksonville and it definitely competes on a national level. I high recommend visiting this place and trying it for yourself. More...

The crust was flaky and perfect, but the pie itself wasnt spectacular. Then again, I only got a savory pie (ham and asparagus), so Ill probably have to go back and try a sweeter pie sometime soon. Still, at $6.90 for a measley slice (not even the whole 5' mini pie!) it wasnt as wonderful as I had hoped. Nonetheless, id recommend to a friend and plan on returning. More...

What a great little find thanks to yelp !! Had lunch at the flying iguana today and thought I'd check on yelp for somewhere new to try for dessert and found this little gem . With only two reviews I was a little leery but they nailed it this place gets 5 stars from me as well . The owner was as sweet as could be which made the place even better . I got a slice of several pies to take home and try (which I'll be honest I was in them before we back out of the parking lot) The berry was delicious with good flavors of blackberry and blueberry. The coconut was nice and creamy also delicious. The lemon was good as well , it was different from the typical lemon meringue that I'm use to I believe it was a French lemon pie but I could be wrong on the name . Last but certainly not least the Bourbon pecan this was my fav , the pie had a excellent balance of flavors none over powered the other . She also does savory pies as well but I had just eat lunch so I didn't try one . There are a few tables inside so you can sit and enjoy your tasty pie right there . It be a great little spot for girls day lunch or tea . She also sales whole pies so you can get one or five for a dinner party . I'll be back .... Soon !! More...

My wife and I just returned to Nashville, TN after spending a week in Florida (Jacksonville, Amelia Island, St. Augustine).  We stayed in a hotel near Atlantic Beach and Mayport Naval Base east of Jacksonville and drove all over the area in search of adventures.  Within a few blocks of our hotel on Mayport Road we found a little bakery that had just opened in a little blue clapboard building.  We wish we had found it earlier than the day before we had to fly home.  They serve homemade savory and sweet pies, by the piece and whole.  I had chicken pot pie and my wife had a quiche.  We got two sweet pies t take back to the hotel for later.  French lemon pie for me and locally grown blackberry pie for my wife.  Later in the day we shared both and all were great. If you live in the area or if you are traveling near Jacksonville, I hope you will give them a try.  You will say like my father-in-law used to say, "I like that like a school boy loves his pie!"We talked to one of the owners about Shaker Lemon Pie from the Shaker Village near Lexington, KY.  Also chess pie is a southern specialty that most northerners and many southerners have never heard of.  GOOGLE these tems for some interesting history and some tasty recipes.
