I had a minor gas leak one week before Xmas 2018 and Transco had turned all the gas supply off to the house . After getting no help from several gas engineers, a friend recommended Pickups. They were courteous, professional and understanding that it was an emergency situation. They placed me into their busy schedule and I was reconnected within 24 hours. Outstanding service, as a landlord you need fast response time time. Whilst pickups serviced our boiler earlier in the year a potential problem was indentified that meant we would probably need to replace the boiler. When the boiler gave up the ghost pickups came out and got it back going temporaily until a new one could be installed. They liased with the tennant and sorted everything out. We used pick up heating as a friend suggested them to install a new boiler system , I have to say that was a good decision, not only were they the cheapest but from start to finish Andy and all the engineers were very helpful and did the job to a very high standard, I would definitely recommend them.

Have called on the plumbing services of Mr Pickup for many years now and have always been pleased with the results. Latest work was to install a pressurised water storage heater. Starting with a home visit from Andy to discuss requirements and give me a quote, then an installation date, then the work was carried out by Phil with helpful assistance later in the day from Matt. Yesterday we had a visit from Pickup's Heating and their efficient and helpful engineer - Matt. As a busy Mummy I had forgotten the necessary preparation for such a visit - annual boiler check up. (removing rather a large kitchen cupboard from wall adjacent to boiler!) Despite such a challenge Matt supported Eva and I in removing items from said cupboard and then the cupboard itself. Without a doubt an efficient and timely visit, updating the service book too. Eva (age 6) says, He was amazing and fantastic! Thank you so much for the help! Just wanted to write this review to say how efficient the company is. Matt was amazing and so lovely. We had a gas check done and then a boiler service and both times Matt came. Very thorough and no mess made. Would certainly recommend this company. Also the girls in the office are very quick to respond to your needs. Just had my fourth annual boiler service carried out by one of Pickup's excellent engineers. This time it was Phil. As always the engineers that Pickups send are reliable and experienced, they turn up on time, do a thorough job and leave the boiler and kitchen area tidy and clean. My current boiler was installed by Pickup's engineers two years ago quickly, efficiently and at a great price especially with the extended parts and labour warranty, which is a great bonus. This is such an excellent local firm, they were recommended to me by friends who have used their services for many years and I am so glad that they were. I myself always recommend them to my friends. In addition to the excellent service by their engineers, the office staff are great too, really helpful and friendly, so that it is genuinely a real pleasure to deal with this company. Pickups are the type company that give long-established local family firms their well-deserved reputation for excellence and customer-care. We had a full update of our radiators in a bungalow with solid floors. The engineers were fantastic, clean and very efficient. Pickups have just taken out our old conventional boiler, tanks and cylinder, and fitted a combi in our house. Really happy with them. The guys who came were easy to talk to and happy to answer any questios we had about the work they were doing. They put matts and sheets down to keep the carpets and floor from getting dirty. Installing a new boiler to repairing a broken toilet flush, fitting a new bathroom sink, and most recently today installing a new kitchen sink and tap. Found these on Google and after getting a few quotes these were by far the best competitive price and carried out exactly as we asked. We were so pleased with the work they were really tidy and when we asked to put an extra pipe in for washer as we forgot to ask they were more than happy. They also took unsightly boxed in pipes off the walls and moved it under the floor when we didn't ask as we are on a very tight budget. Recently I have had a bathroom renovation and a central heating system installed and, as usual, the work has been carried out to an exceptional standard. I had a new central heating system installed by this company at my last property several years ago and the aftercare service has been excellent. My mother had a boiler replacement carried out last year and she is also delighted with the work and on several occasions one of the Pickups team have been out to instruct her how to set the boiler (as she is quite elderly! ), nothing is too much trouble for them! Finally a company that delivers what they say they can deliver and at a reasonable price , having a hotel in blackpool and trying out several trades in the past 13 years I can honestly say this is the best I have come across they where reliable , clean and friendly I have already passed on there number to many of my friends , And receiving a phone call the next day from the boss to ensure all work was carried out satisfactory and everything is working well was such a nice touch thank you .

Pickups have recently replaced our old hot air central heating system with a new boiler and radiators. They provided an excellent service throughout. The initial visit from their senior consultant inspired us with confidence that this difficult installation could be completed satisfactorily. We have not been disappointed. From the minute the engineers arrived until the final inspection visit by the owners the service has been exemplary.The two engineers who remained with us for eight days were efficient and thorough, providing explanations when requested and ensuring minimal disruption. At the end of each day they ensured our safety and comfort leaving us as clean and tidy as possible. Others who joined them temporarily also continued to treat us with courtesy and consideration.
