What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a good photograph is to make sure clients are comfortable in front of your camera. While I do take some posed photos, the best photos are the ones where the clients aren't paying attention to me and are enjoying themselves in the moment.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What type of photos are you hoping to get from your session? And also what is the budget you are comfortable in? I don't want clients to get turned off by a price tag. I want to offer the possibility to work with everyone. I am always willing to discuss a budget concern with a client.
What do you love most about your job?
I love that I get to capture memories and freeze a moment in time. I get to go to parties and be part of people's special days and give them those memories that will last a life time!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love being able to work for myself and schedule my own jobs. Both of my parents have their own business and watching them as I grew up, gave me the desire to work for myself. Being a mom of two boys, I don't want to always miss out on the special things they do. My passion with photography started when I was young and got the good fortune to travel with my family all over the world. I want to be able to share my passion for travel with my children! I think owning my own business gives me the flexibility to do what I want to do with both clients and my family.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a friendly out going person. I am always more than willing to go above and beyond to get the shots I want. Having been in the business for a while, I have stock ideas that I like to do with families or couples, but I am always open to hear any ideas that the client has! At the end of the day, these are your photos and you need to be happy with them!
