Christine took our engagement photos this past month and did an absolutely amazing job!! She spoke with us beforehand to get an idea of what kind of look we were going for and even went so far as to suggest several locations that would capture that look since we are new to the Seattle area. That was very helpful because we had no idea where a good place might be!<br><br>Christine is very professional. She was on time, prepared, and she made us feel at ease. We felt very comfortable during the photo shoot and honestly had such a great time laughing and enjoying the beautiful scenery at Golden Gardens Park. <br><br>The very next day after the photo shoot, Christine already had our engagement photo preview ready with some edited photos of each of our outfits! That was exciting and a much quicker turnaround than we expected! My fiancé and I did an engagement session with Christine on Father's day (Christine was so accommodating!).

We had such a great experience working with her. Christine has such a great attitude and made the session really comfortable and easy for a couple that feels awkward showing so much PDA :) She made fantastic suggestions for poses, but never makes you do anything you're not comfortable with.

What impressed me most about working with Christine is that I can really tell she has a lot of passion for her craft and wants the perfect backdrop and lighting for each picture. Communication with her was excellent as well. More...

We can't tell you how awesome it was having Christine with us on our wedding day as our wedding photographer! We met her months ahead of time and she was so warm and welcoming, instantly making us feel at ease and really wanting to find out our story and what we were looking for for our wedding. She was so genuine and easy to work with every step of the way. For this story, that is just the tip of the iceberg. We hired her for our intimate 20 guest wedding that was all supposed to take place (wedding and reception) over the course of about 4 hours at one single location. We found out literally the day before our wedding that an incident had occurred at our venue and we weren't going to be able to use the space, talk about a nightmare. I (the bride) called Christine, obviously super distraught and not knowing what we were going to do in order to move forward with this wedding, but as all of our guests had flown from the east coast to Seattle to attend the show had to go on was the situation, even though we didn't have a plan. She answered the phone and I'm sure she couldn't understand but every third word that I said as I was so upset, but in the end I was left with a "don't worry at all, anything I can do to help, just let me know." Hearing that made such a difference! We ended up having to have our wedding reception at a second location and she didn't miss a beat, she shot TWO locations that she had never had a chance to see before and she made it look easy and took care of us. Our contract didn't change, even with the circumstances, and her thoughtfulness and understanding with that will stay with me for a long time. In the chaos of what is now a stellar wedding story, she was an awesome constant who took care of us and made it so she was the last thing that we had to worry about. On top of all that we got our sneak peek within a week of our wedding and all of our fully edited photos just a couple weeks after that - talk about fast! My fiancee and I are huge Disney fans who got engaged and will get married at Disneyland, so of course we needed our engagement photos done in Disneyland. Christine was not only willing to make the trip to Disneyland, but she was super excited! She asked us for any Pinterest inspiration and also sent us some of hers as well. We're also not the most comfortable with PDA, especially in front of a camera, but Christine immediately made it easy for us. The main reason why I chose her was for how natural her style was; no poses, just natural affection and love. She just gives subtle directions, but generally just lets us do our thing and magically creates the most amazing photos. We had some specific requests for where to take some shots and she hit every one of those. While we were walking through the park, she'd even pull us for some shots in places I would've never thought of and they turned out perfect! The whole experience was truly magical in the happiest place on earth and we didn't even have wait long to see the edited photos. We were unbelievably happy with how they all turned out and will actually be doing a 2nd shoot with her with our dogs. :) I'd recommend Christine over and over again; from the very beginning of booking her, through the actual shoot and seeing the final product, it's all happiness, positivity and perfection. I cannot sing the praises of Christine Chen enough!  <br><br>For the last three years, we have asked Christine to take our annual family photos.  From the beginning, she brought a warmth and ease to her overall process.  She has a genuine passion and enjoyment for what she does.  As a result, her photos are natural, unposed, and consistently exceed our expectations.  <br><br>Over the years, Christine has come prepared to ensure the success of her photo shoots: the first year our daughter was only a year and half and a bit camera shy, and the last two times, our daughter had nutty, bubbly toddler energy!  Christine came prepared to all of these sessions with ways to distract and catch the attention of our daughter and capture amazing, candid photos, no matter our daughter's age and attention span.<br><br>Because we loved her photos so much, we also asked her to shoot a 40th birthday party for a close friend.  She went to the location (a bar) ahead of time to get an idea of lightning and to ensure she came prepared with the appropriate equipment.  The photos were beautiful and captured the excitement and celebratory spirit of the surprise party.<br><br>In addition, Christine's editorial process is amazing.  Not only is she quick (she sends preview photos within days of the photo session), but when she sends the final images, she's taken the time to review and edit each to their full potential.  <br><br>Christine is professional, passionate, and talented.  Her amazing charisma, natural ease, and wonderfully kind personality make our annual photo sessions a blast, and create priceless, memorable photos. Christine took our engagement photos in a few different spots in San Francisco, and we had a great experience! We weren't sure what to bring or wear, but she gave us a lot of helpful suggestions and we felt prepared and comfortable going into the photo shoot. She sent us our photos one week after we took them, which was a lot faster than we expected. Christine has a laid back and fun personality, and she was very easy to work with. Our experience with Christine mirrors the prior reviews -  she is wonderfully talented, a pleasure to work with, punctual and responsible, and is able to inspire and capture great candid moments especially from children.  Christine took photos with our daughter when she was a few months old and when we had our second, we had not question about who we wanted to update our family photos.  She will put everyone at ease right away just through her natural personality and demeanor, which I think has a big impact on the resulting photos - relaxed and happy subjects will yield better photos.  She also has a secret superpower of somehow catching fleeting moments with our daughter that usually pass by so fast that I've given up on trying to capture in photos.  We would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a photographer for any occasion.  Thanks again Christine! Christine took my professional photos as well as some action shots of me on my motorcycle. She truly is a diverse artist who knows her stuff! From choosing the correct lighting, to getting that natural pose, to revealing scenic backdrops, the finished product will be exactly what you are looking for. Did I forget to mention that she is also punctual on completing her editing!...something that many photographers seem to be lacking. At the end of our photo session with Christine, my fiancé turned to me and said, "that felt like a really fun date." She took our engagement photos at the Ferry Building and Lands End. She was easy to work with, extremely accommodating, always responded promptly to emails, and offered great advice regarding attire. She followed up to confirm a few days before the session. The day of, we were initially nervous, but Christine arrived on time, was approachable, friendly, and made us feel immediately comfortable. She took the time to ask about our story to make the experience feel more personal and unique, and she had us laughing during the shoot. We never felt awkward or like we were being unnaturally posed. Her website is easy to use, and she had our photos ready for us a couple short weeks after the session. We couldn't be happier with the end product. My husband and I were referred to Christine through a colleague at work. We live in San Francisco, but our wedding was in Boston and our wedding photographer lived in North Carolina so we needed to find a local photographer for engagement photos. We spent a very hot saturday afternoon with Christine walking around Golden Gate Park and Ocean beach but we still had an amazing time. She is so easy to work with and she captures a lot of candid shots which is what my husband and I love the best.
