Carolyn managed to get some truly beautiful shots of what we would normally be doing in the hospital anyway, plus some of our family that we never would have otherwise taken the time to do ourselves when the twins were so new. I’m especially thankful of the pictures she took of me and the babies even though I said I didn’t want to be in any ???? I don’t think any new mom feels their best less than 48 hours after giving birth; I hadn’t had a chance to brush my hair or put on makeup, I was swollen, and in pain, and exhausted. And I’ll be forever grateful that she captured the raw beauty of that for us to keep forever. None of us looked perfect, the room was a mess, and the babies kept escaping their swaddles, but the pictures she took are a genuine reflection of the love and happiness we felt knowing we were about to take our new family member home with us.
