We were so happy that we got to work with Sean and Sarah for our wedding day pictures. Our wedding day ended up being very cold so we had to cut down the outdoor locations for photos last minute. They came up with such cool ideas for indoor pictures and the photos themselves were amazing. We ordered a wedding book from Photography by Gillilan as well and we were absolutely blown away with our amazing it turned out. The quality, clarity, and creativeness of the pictures were great. Sean and his wife were wonderful! When we first met with him he was extremely professional and had multiple books for us to take a look st his work, where as some other people we met with didn't even provide pictures of their work. On the day of our wedding Sean and his wife were like our third set of wedding coordinators and they really helped us through the day and just made everything go so smoothly. I had done a photo shoot with Sean before, so I knew he was easy to work with and very professional (oh, yeah, and I love his style! ) so it was easy to choose Photo by G for our wedding. Sean and Sarah did a great job before and during our wedding. They met with us in advance to go over our timeline, special shots we wanted to get, VIP guests, etc. In the week leading up to the big day, I sent Sean a bazillion stream-of-consciousness emails filled with random questions, and he took it all in stride and responded quickly. They did a great job on site — even arriving before I did! — and kept everything moving along to make sure we got all the photos we wanted. If you have pose ideas you want to try, or if you want them to take the creative lead, they're game either way. They are respectful of your special moments and never distract you with obnoxious photographing — I barely even noticed when they were taking pictures. Sean also has a policy that he doesn't post any pictures on his website or Facebook page so that YOU are the first people to see them, which we thought was very professional and respectful (albeit a little frustrating, because we really want a sneak peek!). Sean Gillilan and his wife are simply AMAZING. Sean had some really great suggestions in the planning phase for pictures and helped me with other things as well - photo booth, catering suggestions etc. He was always so responsive and accountable (which is super important for a bride!). On my wedding day, Sean and his wife came early to set up and be ready to take pictures at the agreed time. They are so much fun and it was a blast to work with them. They made the picture time a really enjoyable experience. His wife had printed all the interest pictures I had pinned and shared with them and showed them to the wedding party for each pose, which made it so easy for everyone to know what they were supposed to do and where they should be. The pictures turned out PHENOMENAL. We had some rain and grey skies and you cannot see any of this in the pictures - they are simply beautiful. We had Sean and his lovely Wife as our photographers for our big day at Dock 580. Sarah went straight to our venue to setup for the family photos we wanted and Sean met us at The Hilton to shoot the bulk of our photos. He made me feel very comfortable and got some great shots of me and my bridesmaids getting ready. The groomsman had a blast with him and got a lot of creative shots with Sean's help. We decided to do a reveal and Sean was able to shoot it from far away so we could still have a private moment.

Once we got all of our Bride and Groom photos and Wedding party photos, we headed the the venue to do the family photos. Sarah had everything setup so we could start right away. We had a few little kids in our group and Sean and Sarah were able to get them to smile and look at the camera. After that, they melted into the crowd so we didn't feel like we were constantly being photograph but we have every possible photo we could ever want. They didn't miss a moment.
We let Sean know the groom's parents wanted to be in a lot of photos and he gave us a lot of options with them in it.

Sean and Sarah also did our engagement photos in the Short North. It only took an hour but we were able to go to lots of different spots along high street. It was also 100 degrees that day but Sean didn't complain once. He was a true professional.

Sean gives you a link and a disc with all of your photos on it so you can print off photos yourself or he can do it for you.

I can't wait till we got our edited photo books from Sean because I know they are something we will cherish for a lifetime. More...

We are absolutely thrilled with our experience and the final product! Sean was very easy to work with. I sent so many sample pictures that I liked and we talked through what I liked about each one a few days before the wedding so he had an idea of what catches my eye. He made sure he had our schedule for the day so he was prepared for the day. We went with the essential package which worked out well for us. We got plenty of pictures and are very glad we went with two photographers. Sean's wife, Sarah, was so helpful to me in the bridal room, making sure we got all of the pictures I wanted of my dress and accessories as well as making sure I had lipstick on. We had so many pictures, it took awhile to get them. It was well worth the wait. Sean was even nice enough to send us some specific shots ahead of time so we could take advantage of a print offer we had that was expiring before all of the photos were done. The photos are so beautiful! We have received the nicest comments about them. Sean's style is exactly what we were looking for which can be seen in the photos on his website. Sean and Sarah of Photography by Gillilan did an amazing job at our May 27, 2012 wedding. Not only did the husband and wife team shoot using two cameras to capture each moment at different angles, but their calm demeanor and flexibility was just what a bride and groom need on their big day. Sean was creative and was more than happy to follow us to all of the places we wanted pictures taken. He made the bridal party laugh and got some great candids of everyone from the ceremony to the reception. For the amount of money we put into our photo package, we got much more than we paid for: high quality photographers who have a creative eye for great wedding photos!
