Lovely house, very peaceful, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you might need including games and books as well as all the essentials. Only issue was the bath and 1 of the sinks leaked when used. Would return though. Definitely reccomend More...

We were very happy with the service which we received from here. Didn't have much idea as to what to expect from the place, but everything turned out to be perfect. Very advanced and fair amount of lighting setup and the staff were also very helpful and were more than happy to also give advice to our photographer. The size of the room is not massive and everything is located in the same room, however it is much bigger than what it looks like in the pictures on the website. Definitely recommend this place for photo shoots for bands or models. More...

Great place to take photos, with lots of interesting and varied rooms to explore, as well as a well kitted studio too. It was worth the 90 minute drive, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a more natural indoor shoot.

I was lucky enough to return to the beautiful Sandon Studio for the second time. It definitely has the wow factor and endless places to shoot. I worked alongside Anna Rose and Artemis Fauna for a weekend of lingerie and art nude. Lizzie was the perfect host, so welcoming, and made sure both days ran smoothly. It was loads of fun with great food and tea on tap. The house was lovely and warm, and lucky for us the weather was gorgeous. It's got to be up there with my most favourite locations for new and experienced photographers. Each set is so beautifully put together, and the garden is stunning. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
It depends on the type and style of photography you are being contracted to do. For a product/e commerce shoot a photographer needs to have excellent knowledge of studio lighting and and post production skills. For a fashion/makeover shoot the photographer must be confident enough to direct models on how to pose whilst again having a technical expertise of studio lighting. Photography ultimately comes down to having a balance of social skills, technical ability and a good creative eye.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What style of photography do they require, how many pictures are needed, how much editing/post production is needed

being creative and getting to meet interesting people

I wanted to do something I enjoyed and i liked the idea of being my own boss.
