A lovely quaint place to visit. Ales and gins made onsite and lovely food . Not expensive in fact the ales are some of the cheapest around and food prices right foe the family pocket. Lots of history in the bar area .well worth a visit More...

Excellent beer and they do an excellent brewery tour which is good value. The MD is very passionate about the brewery and very entertaining to listen to. Also worth checking out their own gins which are genuinely excellent. Also, skittles, bar billiards and darts give an extra something to a brilliant place for a drink (and a bit of history!) More...

What a fantastic afternoon! After a warm welcome in the bar we followed Al into the brewery where we enjoyed his fascinating tales about the history of Phipps, the family and the brewery. A sample or two of the Albion Brewery's finest products was enough stimulus to the beer buds to encourage me to sample a couple more with the best ploughman's lunch I've had for many years. We then went back to tour the tunnels, take a look at the well and then to the gin room! Thank goodness for the Neville Brothers and for Bill Urquhart - three of Northampton's finest. More...

A fascinating place to drink. A large room with lots of space and interestingly decorated with hops and brewery items. Great selection of beers obviously and very good value. The barman wasn't particularly welcoming to us, maybe he was just having a bad day as other reviews comment on the friendly and knowledgeable service. More...

Popped in to cover the Mighty TRAD Arrr gig last night. Cracking gig. Tidy venue and good beer. Didn't get chance to try the food but the Curry house down the road was excellent too. Just wish I could get there more often. Would be a regular haunt for me if I could. More...

And a dedicated stage for live music! I'll have to frequent this place more frequently. Top Marks. Do visit and tell them LeBurn sent you

A great night out, excellent beer, brilliant engaging tour . Mostly about Phipps history, done by the MD who had the wit to buy the brand from Scottish and Newcastle and had now brought it back to its original building. Real enthusiast and really interesting story to tell. Highlight is the actual Kings well. (There's a reason the street has that name!) 800 years old and still in use! To cap it all excellent pie and mash and a really good pub pianist. Don't miss it! More...

We were part of a group experiencing the brewery tour followed by steak and ale pie lunch. Ian, who did the tour and history commentary, was brilliant. He has an obvious passion for Phipps beers, the history of brewing in Northampton and for this brewery in particular. We saw the cellars, the Kings Well and learnt all about how the beer is brewed at this fine old Albion brewery. We sampled each of the main draft beers. If you are a member of a club or affinity group I would thoroughly recommend this tour and lunch as a great way to while away a few convivial hours on a Sunday afternoon. More...

We went on a brewery tour here and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The tour was a good length and went into a great amount of detail which made everything easy to understand. Particularly enjoyed tasting the beers during the tour and the added bonus of a quick gin tour at the end! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's fantastic that Northampton has this as an activity and we would highly recommend it. The only issue we have is that when we booked it we were told that the price was £7 and £12 if you wanted food too but when we went to pay we were told it was actually £12 with £7 on top for food which is quite a lot for a ploughman's. Hopefully some re-training will happen so it doesn't happen again but apart from that this was a super experience. More...

Attended a Brewery tour that took me around the cellars of this old building. The tour guide, who also works at the brewery was really informative and gave us an interesting talk about the History of the Phipps Beer & Brewery, whilst I sipped away at several beers that were included in the tour price. I was also given a couple of 'beer tokens' to use at the bar after the tour. The guided tour took roughly 90 minutes was excellent value for money and I rounded the evening off with Pie & Mash in the bar. If you are a bit unsteady the steps down to the cellars are a little steep, but there is lift access if needed. More...

Great venue and the tour should not be missed a businesses that cares about the history of what they do and the people who started it and the importance of the location and the premises and, this is a businesses that Northampton town should be promoting as part of its history.
