Philippe delivered an outstanding dinner for my wife and I on her birthday, I felt he took good care of us since the moment I first got in touch with him. He was always readily available in the days before the appointment as we exchanged frequent emails to agree on the menu, and it was nice chit chatting with him while he was cooking.The dishes were all excellently presented and perfectly cooked, and he took care of everything from preparation, to laying the table, bringing the food to us and finally he did all the cleaning as well, leaving the kitchen exactly as it was when he arrived.Would definitely call him again! I could not of been happier with the service I received from Philippe Roth. He helped me to put together a fabulous menu for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations and his kind professional manner reassured me at each stage of the planning process that I had selected the right man for the job. I have worked in the Hotel & Catering Industry for over 30 years and I can quite honestly say this was the best meal I have ever eaten. Philippe is an amazing cook with lots of experience and patience. He provided my friends and I with everything we needed: the proper tools, devices and the printed recipes. He also made sure to prepare in advance everything that we wouldn't be able to provide. During the session, no one felt left out: we all took part in the dinner preparation equally. Philippe offered great advice and enabled us to learn from his experience in Michelin star restaurants.The result turned out to be perfect: the food tested amazing and the wine pairing be advised was right on point. Philippe catered our party for 18 friends with a set of canapes that completely bowled everyone over. My only request was that I didn’t want to use forks, and Philippe proposed the most amazing selection. Original, classy, and high quality. He was so calm and professional. Ludovic was absolutely delightful. Every time I tried to help out, he insisted that it was his job. Non-stop serving food and drink and charming everyone. They left our kitchen absolutely spotless. Philippe was sensational - punctual, cooked an imaginative menu for our 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner and when serving the courses, described the content of the dishes with much enthusiasm ( we are all foodies ) - they appeared at just the right time , we never felt rushed. I've now worked with Philippe on two occasions, once to host a special dinner for my partner on his birthday, and another to do some canape style catering for my birthday with a larger group - and Philippe has never failed to impress!

I'll start off by saying that Philippe is incredibly personable, very easy to get along with and readily on-hand to ensure your needs are met. Philippe will put you at ease even when you have set yourself an over-ambitious time scale or if you're feeling the pressure of wanting to get things right (even when working in a perhaps less than adequate kitchen!). This is certainly not his first rodeo and he really is a first-rate professional chef and a great (fun) guy.

I took a bit of a bet on his first menu – it looked interesting: a fusion of Japanese flavours and French cooking techniques. We had a 5 course menu and it was absolutely fantastic. Each dish delivered on flavour and some of the dishes that looked simple were very well balanced and moorish. It was an unusual menu that worked very, very well. He also recommended excellent wine pairings with the meal.

On the second occasion we had a mix of canapes, which also went down a treat with our guests; they were all really impressed with his food and having him there to serve his delicious creations.

In summary: I wouldn’t hesitate to use Philippe again in the future and neither should you!! All the best Philippe! More...

We attended an industry cocktail at a showroom during Design Week. These affairs can be hit and miss but Philippe's fare, service and overall attention to detail made sure this was a memorable evening. The flavours, selection and presentation were amazing, worthy of a starred gastronomic temple.
