This family company should be brought to people's attention, for excellent traditional values in both products and customer service. I found this guy in the market a few years back. He Has run the shop for almost 30 years and has his dad working there for years before him . You do not often see a genuine English, family run business like this. With his son learning the trade it looks like this will live on for a long time come . He is around 50% cheaper than the high street prices and the quality for what you pay is incredible. He genuinely appreciates the work and takes it personally. Amazing service and incredible value. I took a specialised travel suitcase for my pram here to have a zip repaired. After being unable to find anyone willing or able to fix it they did it more or less immediately and was very cheap! I tried to pay more as the craftsmanship was second to none but they were having none of it! Would highly recommend coming her for any shoe, leather or repair works. Will be back! More...

After reading some reviews I decided to take the two pocket watches I wanted engraved to this shop and I was not disappointed.
Gary was super lovely and helped advise on what would fit and look nicest. He quoted what I thought was a great price and I agreed to collect them a few days later.
On collection, both pocket watches were beautifully engraved and were nicer than I imagined. Gary then surprised me further by halving the quote he'd given me previously.
He's a true gentleman and very skilled in what he does. I'll definitely go there in future and so should you.

A high quality, quick and friendly service.
My experience of Leather & Lace was truly brilliant. I was caught short needing a quick shoe repair and they advised me over the phone that my soles could be fixed quickly and gave an estimate of cost.
I arrived at 5.55pm (quoted 6pm closing time but they weren't shutting up shop) and they happily took the shoes and said they could be ready by 5pm the next day at no extra charge.
When handing in my shoes I mentioned that I hadn't been taking the best care with polish recently and was pleasantly surprised to be handed back a gleaming pair of very well heeled shoes when I picked them up. They made sue I knew to come back if there were any issues with the new soles but given the knowledge and dedication that these guys have to their trade, I don't think that is likely.
Gary and Tony go the extra mile and stay true to their word that without our business, they don't have a business. I would highly recommend that you give them your business.

Cut two keys here and one didn't work when I got home called him and he said bring it in had to go back twice but he made the changes hassle free and it worked the third time so am pleased. Staffed by two friendly and knowledgable guys this place is one of those hidden gems, and they sorted out a pair of shoes that I had worn right down on the heels and a pair of boots where one of the heels had suddenly collapsed.
