I spent some time looking for logo designers and I didn't know what to expect but the company was professional and gave a personal touch with phone calls and emails. I was also given opportunities to make changes until I was happy with the design. I loved the work that went into it and was very happy with my logo/branding. More...

I am in the process of using this company to create my brand as I was impressed with the designs on their website and also the response to my advert.

Steffan at Phase 3 Design was excellent. In particular, he replied to my emails within a couple of days, often replying the same day. It was very easy to make changes and adjustments to designs, and these were done in a very short time. The finished product was very comprehensive, with 4 versions of my business logo, plus an alternative business card. I would have no questions in hiring Phase 3 Design again. More...

Q&A

Although you'll probably never see it, I always start with a pencil and paper. Once I've got a few ideas that have real potential, I'll move onto the computer and start to develop these ideas into 'digital sketches'. I'll probably work up a dozen or so ideas before selecting three or four to show to you.

At this stage, you get to steer the next stage of development. Typical feedback would be something like, "I like Idea 1, but can I see it in the colours of Idea 2 with the lettering from Idea 3?"

This would then get passed back and forth until we're both happy that the finished article is just right.

Thinking of your target market, it's useful to know what overall look you're after: Traditional, modern, vintage, etc.

Are there any colours you definitely want included, or want to avoid?

Where is it going to be seen most often?

I love playing with the endless combinations of colour, shape, text and image to create something that communicates an idea and just looks good.

The downside is that I get really annoyed when I see bad design!

After an initial career as a designer, I went into teaching for ten years. When I left that, I thought I'd do a bit of freelance design for a bit while I decided what to do next. I found that I was enjoying it, and so three years later I'm still here!

Firstly, I think my work is good!

I'm also aware that you, as the client, may have an idea of what you like but don't know how to achieve it. I'm happy to listen to you, or to offer my own advice when necessary.
