Brandi is an incredible dog trainer because she is an incredible person. She goes way above and beyond for her clients providing the most knowledgeable techniques in dog training. She is patient and smart and incredibly loving with all of her animals. She communicates to clients very often and very clearly the details of her training and your pets progress. My dog genuinely loves spending time with Brandi and she makes amazing progress with him each and every single time he has a session with her. Brandi is so accommodating to my schedule And her flexibility and immense tender loving care with each of her animals and above all her knowledge make her the best dog trainer in Tampa. I highly recommend Brandi for your pet training. More...

From potty-training to behavior-correcting training, she has taught us how to fix the issue(s) in a way that is fun for us and the dogs. If you are considering getting a dog trainer, I would absolutely recommend Brandi for the job. Brandi is a sweet, caring person and she is great at what she does! My big cane corso that would growl and bite if you got too close, turned into a completely different dog. I can’t wait for future training sessions with her! More...

Brandi has been awesome with helping me get my new puppy on track. I started him early (4 months) and he already knows most of his basic commands. The things Brandi has taught me now seem so simple and obvious, yet they had never occurred to me. She is very patient, her sessions are fun, and her tactics are easy to follow on my own. Plus, my pup loves her! Highly recommend!! More...

My husband and I tried to train our American Eskimo and couldn’t quite get the results we wanted. Brandi saw his potentially right away and he just fell in love with her. We saw immediate results when his barking decreased and his walks became much easier. My vet even complimented his increased confidence. Brandi is extremely professional and friendly. We learned even more than our pup did. It was a joy to work with her! Highly recommended! More...

Our lives have changed since working with Brandi. First of all she is amazing with the animals , when she comes over the pets all love her, even my shy cats. They flock to her! Secondly, she has helped my Shih Tzu get through some major issues. She was very food aggressive and she has come miles from where she started. We have a foster dog who can eat within 10 feet of her bowl with no issues. None of this progress would have been without Brandi. She has also helped us stop the behavior where my little dog darts out the front door any time it’s open. We had a pizza delivery and held the door wide open- she didn’t even try to get outside with the pizza smell right there. I would recommend Brandi 100%!! Even if your dog doesn’t have “bad” behaviors, just getting a really good foundation of good pup behaviors can help your dog be the best dog ever! More...

Brandi stepped forward to assist me when I needed a last minute sitter for a severely traumatized foster dog.

Brandi's calm demeanor put Angel Baby at ease and in the short 5 days that Brandi cared for her. ..Brandi helped her confidence and showed her that the car ride was not so scary...and we had a much better ride home than we did coming over.

We were also sent home with a great tip sheet to help me continue reinforcing the lessons that Brandi started! Highly recommend her services!

My 8 year old medium-sized rescue pup was recently attacked during our morning walk. I reached out to Brandi to work through the effects of this with my dog who has a history of leash reactivity. Usually, she will bark, whimper, pull, and sometimes lunge when she sees other dogs and I worried these behaviors would worsen after the attack. We’ve done other types of training before to curtail her reactivity, however none of our previous work compares to the difference in her behavior after one session with Brandi! We successfully transitioned from using the prong collar to wearing a head collar and front-clip harness and not only is my girl much more relaxed on leash, but I also have more control of her than before. On our walks, we’ve passed other dogs together and she hasn’t barked, lunged, whimpered or pulled – not one bit! She glances at the other dogs and then focuses her attention on me to get her reward. I am profoundly grateful for Brandi’s expertise and thoroughness. She takes her time getting to know you and your dog, is incredibly responsive, helpful, and professional. She offers comprehensive training tailored to the needs of your dog and employs a variety of resources to accomplish these goals. Brandi’s step-by-step written instructions have been enormously beneficial in ensuring that I can competently train my dog! We rescued our dog Addi who is a black lab mix. She can be scared of people and doesn’t know how to greet other dogs properly. When we first started working with Brandi, Addi would lunge and bark uncontrollably at both dogs and people. After 5 lessons with Brandi, Addi has overcome her fears and has stopped barking at people and is easily redirected when she sees other dogs. We used to dread taking our pup outside for walks because of her behavior, but now it’s our favorite part of the day! Brandi is SO knowledgeable and SO good at what she does!! Plus she comes to your own home and teaches you ways to help your dog(s) in their every day environment. We absolutely recommend Brandi to all dog owners!! More...

Brandi with PETS is the best! When researching trainers I was horrified to find most use shock collars and or prong collars, finding Brandi; who is extremely opposed to that sort of training was so refreshing. She uses only positive reinforcement and my dogs LOVE her. She is very thorough in the initial interview/ meeting of the pet, she takes time to understand not only the problem with the animal but also the owners style of training and reinforcement which is helpful to combine the two into a workable training plan. I cannot say enough great things about her, her training approach or her ability to work with you and your schedule. PETS is the best, I make sure to refer her to anyone and everyone I know! More...

Before hiring PETS, I interviewed and researched over a dozen dog trainers in Tampa. Several of the trainers were overpriced, and several others tried to smooth talk me over the phone rather than just answer the questions in my e-mail. I do not like sales pitches. Unlike the other trainers, Brandi got right back to all of my e-mails with thorough responses, and I appreciated her non-salesy approach. I also chose Brandi because her pricing is a good value. The five class package is a solid deal and provided a fantastic foundation for training. One of the most important things I learned is that dog training is as much about training the owner as it is about training the dog. I read two books on training German Shepherds and thought I was an expert, but neither of the books emphasized the importance of the subtleties of body language and the importance of repetition and labeling every action. What I found extremely helpful is that Brandi teaches you how a dog thinks and learns, and knowing these principles, as they relate to training, is extremely helpful. Thanks to Brandi, I am a proud parent of a very well-behaved 9 month old male German Shepherd, which not too many people can say! Thank you, Brandi! More...

I recently received an email from a doggy college (Animal Behavior College) with 6 names of dog trainers in the Tampa area. I picked Brandi off the list. I talked to her for a bit about my 10-month old Basset Hound puppy. Her name is Wrigley. Catchy name don't you think? I never just pick the 1st person I talk to but I was at ease with Brandi from the start. She was very knowledgeable, her prices were reasonable, and she wasn't a hard sell. I told her Wrigley needed help finding the outside facilities. She said she could teach us some tricks and tips that will make it easier. We saw Brandi Monday and today (Friday) we have Wrigley out of the crate for most of the day and she told us this morning that she needed to use the outhouse by going to the door. She went outside and Hooray. One visit, just one visit. No long contract was necessary and I told Brandi she would no longer be getting any business from us. It just wasn't necessary. Hopefully with this review, the person reading it will take our place. Give her a try. I give Brandi 5 golden woofs. She is excellent.

I love helping people live harmoniously with their pets.

I've always been fascinated with researching animal behavior. As a trainer, I get to utilize that research, the education I received attending Animal Behavior College and the 9+ years of experience training pets as a professional.

I don't give up until everyone is happy and has a clear understanding of how to move forward. Training pets and helping people is my passion.
