What do you love most about your job?
I love the moments when a student understands something that was previously unclear; becomes able to do something which they previously found impossible; becomes able to do something beautifully and easily which they previously found hard and awkward.
I also simply love talking through the solutions to problems and making music with my lovely students.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I actually started teaching in schools and my home teaching business came about through demand: too many students to fit in the school week so I had to carry on in the evenings and at weekends. Now I don't work quite so hard and I mostly enjoy the relaxed and varied pace of working from home, with everything to hand.
