I have been using Pet Sit Services for about 6 years now. I trust them and know my cat will be well looked after. Their rates are very reasonable and the service is efficient and personal. There was an occasion when my cat got himself trapped in the garage and Sharon was brilliant in organising getting him out, as we were over 300 miles away at the time and could not get home to him. Anyone looking for someone to look after their pet, look no further you have come to the right place ! Pet Sit Services is fabulous, no need to worry that your dog is getting 100% quality care, even sometimes a kiss LOL ! !! My dog Bonnie loves to go walkies with Sharon, you can tell she loves dogs and has chosen this career for the fact that she loves animals and the outdoors. Very professional, 100% reliable and trustworthy, and a very lovely genuine person. Sometimes Sharon takes Bonnie out with her friend Buddy or another dog, or sometimes on her own, so it's good for her to socialise with other dogs. Always on time and very good value for money. Our cat, Chester, gets to stay in his own house without disruption, he and the house get a visit 2-3 times a day, and we can relax when we're away without worry, knowing that both pet and home are looked after. Sharon has looked after our lab Buddy since he was 8 weeks old, she started off with puppy visits and now takes him on different adventures with different dogs and he couldn't be happier. We can both go to work knowing that he is getting good exercise and a lot of love and attention. There have been times when I have had to swap shifts and ask Sharon last minute to come and see to Buddy and she has always accommodated. Sharon also stays in our home sometimes when we go away on holiday and we have total peace of mind that he is being cared for really well. What do you love most about your job?
Caring for and loving animals comes easy to me, and never feels like work, I spent a huge part of my life on a farm in rural Northumberland sharing my life with horses, dogs, cats and pretty much everything else under the sun. this gave me great experience in caring for, handling and a good knowledge of animals. I feel privileged to be able to carry this on daily in my work.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always dreamt of a career of some sort with animals, and I did qualify as a horse riding instructor, but instead went on to a long career in the NHS. I’d always been the go to person for friends/family when they were looking for someone to take care of their pets when they went away, I decided to take up my redundancy offer from the NHS and start my business caring for customers pets, this was in 2011 and it is the best decision I’ve ever made.
