It was a great restaurant. Peru Gourmet in Arlington, TX is no longer open for business. I don't know if they moved, because there are no notes at their doors or windows.

La comida está rica pero esta vez tuve un mal servicio, primero que solo tenían el ventilador de pared puesta, y la temperatura de afuera era 97 y lleve a invitados para recomendar el lugar y la comida pero nos decepcionaron, por que? primero que no supimos la hora que cierran, y ya saliendo miramos la puerta que decía a la 8 pm pero pensábamos que cerraban a las 9 pm. Llegamos a las 7:30 y éramos 8 personas ‘ apenas nos dieron la cuenta a las 9pm apagaron los televisores y las luces ! Pero JAMÁS NOS DIJERON VAMOS A CERRAR pronto!!!!!!!!!!!! Fue una falta de respeto completa. Con calor y en sima nos votan sin avisar y para esto cuando llega la mesera para que nos de la cuenta, por que se la pedimos NOSOTROS! Food was excellent, we both had the aji de gallina, and it was a really cute, clean place. However despite being the only customers, the waiter did not check back after the food was served and never refilled our water, still hate to complain because he was super nice when he did come over. A friend brought me to Peru Gourmet as a birthday present. We had travelled together in Peru a couple years ago, so it was really exciting to revisit some authentic Peruvian cuisine. We both got Pisco Sours, which were delicious and just like the ones we had in Peru. For an appetizer, we got the Ceviche de Pescado, and it too, was just as good if not better than any ceviche we tried throughout Peru. For my meal, I got the Arroz Chaufa Mar y Tierra, which I devoured every last bite. On my next visit, I'll be getting both of my first two items again but will change up my main course to try one of their dishes that has a more Peruvian touch like a meal with potatoes or chicken. The food was excellent. It seemed very fresh. The waiter was friendly and informative, but not "sales-y". I had the chicharone and it was awesome. The onions we're very fresh. The bathrooms were clean. I hope this restaurant gets a lot of business. My only criticism is that they could turn the music off. It wasn't loud, but it wasn't necessary, as with most restaurants. 1st of all, thanks for an awesome dining experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the bar is a gem. This was my first experience with Peruvian cuisine, and I want more. Wow, the flavors were completely new and the quality was top. My seafood dish had fresh delicious muscles, clams, shrimp, and calamari. I could go on but eat there once and you’ll see for yourself.
