I have really enjoyed my PT sessions with Niki over the last two years, so when the lockdown came, I was keen to carry on but was not sure how it would work virtually… We started using FaceTime and I’m amazed at how quickly we adapted. I can honestly say that the sessions at home, even though with limited equipment, are as thorough (if not more thorough) than the gym. Even when she is working remotely, Niki is still good at clocking when you’re putting effort in and when you’re not… It’s also really enjoyable being at home, and because I don't have to travel I have extra time.

Sometimes tough times bring out the very best in people. Since the lockdown started, Niki has done much to help others by posting loads of positive and proactive advice on health and wellbeing on her Facebook page called Personal Fitness Facilitated. This is free and has been really well received and appreciated-I even know people in Australia who are following her advice!

Since the Covid lockdown I’ve been struggling to find an effective way to train at home. I’ve heard of a lot of people training remotely with a coach. Initially I didn’t think it was a good idea however after a couple of weeks I decided to give it a go.

This morning I had my 1st remote PT session with Niki Woods, I have to say I was very impressed. Obviously nothing can beat face to face personal training in a gym, under the current circumstances using technology such as FaceTime the one to one experience wasn’t diminished as mush as I expected.

Niki was able to watch me perform her tasks and with her advanced instructional skills she was able to flex her methods and language to correct my form. I was able to deduce what she was relaying to me with ease, something which is essential with remote work.

I’ve never been big on PT, I normally do my own thing in a gym, with Niki guiding me what I always thought were basic simple exercises I really struggled to achieve with the correct form once Niki pointed out my errors. This highlighted my need to go back to square one with parts of my training.

I definitely will train with Niki again during lockdown and will strongly consider paying for her PT time when these strange times come to an end.

I have been having PT sessions with Nikki twice a week for 3 months now and I can throughly recommend her. I explained to Nikki what I wanted to achieve and what my goals were and she put me on the right track through her time, tailored programmes and change of nutrition and I’m seeing the results of that. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, passionate, helpful and a great motivator. She also goes that extra mile too to ensure client satisfaction. When I met Niki my main goal was to correct my posture and become more active. Before I met her I always felt shy or stupid when I tried to exercise at the gym, thinking that I will embarrass myself by doing something ridiculous. .. From the very beginning, she made me feel like a pro and thanks to her I discovered my inner strength! Thanks to her my secret dream came true - I was finally capable of being lifted by my husband as in Dirty Dancing final scene…! Nikki was absolutely fab! I really enjoyed training with Nikki as she was motivating and guided me well when it came to nutrition and healthy eating! This was such a benefit to me as it helped me to understand food more and make the small changes that made such a difference even though I thought I was eating healthily before! This along with the sessions twice a week was a great help with weight loss! Would recommend Nikki to anyone trying to lose weight and improve their overall health and fitness ! More...

From the beginning I was impressed with Niki's knowledge. She understood the issues and lack of knowledge I had, and wanted to build my strength from the foundation up by working basic muscles I never used and correcting my posture. This meant that I was learning as I was training and showed that she wasn't interested in just flashy results, but cared about me developing and becoming the best version of myself. Across my training with Niki it was nothing short of a wonderful experience and I was happy to see her every week (Though sometimes she pushed me so hard I wasn't always saying this in the session!). Niki is amazing!
I have been with many personal trainers in the past & not found anyone that actually takes the time to get to know me & my body.
I previously found myself lifting heavy weights & injuring myself. Since training with niki she has thought me how to exercise safely within the gym but also showing my how I can exercise outdoors.
I can not recommend nikki enough, really hands on & extremely passionate about what she does. Now I actually enjoy exercising, thank you!

I've been training with Niki a few months now and I'm getting fitter and stronger. We mostly train in the gym but sometimes do sessions outside when the weather's good which I really enjoy as it mixes it up from just being in a gym and challenges me in different ways.

I'm a runner and I feel that my sessions with Niki have made me better. My legs feel less tired and I feel like I'm holding my upper body better on runs.

I've definitely got stronger because the weights I can move have gone up and I can do more reps :) She's really good at making sure my technique's correct when we do free weights and machines. My posture has improved and although I've always been slim I feel more toned and my clothes fit better since we've been doing our sessions.

Niki is an exceptionally good trainer. I've been exercising a long time and in just one session she had taught me new things and corrected some of my poor technique. I noticed a positive difference straight away and she is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to anatomy and body mechanics. A poor diet can make you feel sluggish, tired, and mentally not at your best. You may also be overweight or 'skinny-fat', with slowly declining health/fitness. Good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle can make you feel and look your best, improve your health, increase your energy, and help slow down the aging process. I understand that many people find the mass of confliciting information confusing, and feel that their lives are too busy to make sustainable positive dietary changes towards a more healthy diet. I will offer you realistic and achievable recommendations and a nutrition plan tailored to your individual needs, budget, cooking abilities, lifestyle and circumstances.

I can tailor recommendations for vegetarian or vegan diets, and if you have any health issues I will look to find the root cause rather than simply address the symptoms or adopt a ‘one size fits all approach’.

I focus on ensuring that I'm correcting any postural weaknesses/imbalances while mixing strength work and heart-rate work to improve client fitness and burn fat.

I believe clients should work hard but not feel broken by the end of the session. My aim is that you feel stronger, more mobile, and energized by training with me rather than feeling battered!
