Perry's Mobile DJ

We hired Steve Perry to DJ our anniversary party at Las Positas Vineyards in July.  I had such a hard time selecting a DJ because I really felt like this was the most important part of the party.  My 11 year old son, with all his wisdom, told me that the only way to know for sure was to look at posted reviews.  In the end, this is exactly what I did.  With Steve Perry you know exactly what you are getting.  (This is different from some other companies where they just send a DJ in the experience level that you selected.)  He did a great job of communicating with me prior to the event, including sending me a link to an online planning tool where I could make requests of the songs I wanted and/or didn't want, etc.  He was responsive to my emails.  And the best part was the day of the event.  My husband and I arrived about 30 minutes prior to the event and Steve already had everything set up, including lights, and music already playing.  The music continued all evening without stopping for even a second.  Everyone had a great time on the dance floor and I am very pleased with my decision!! We were almost deciding not to hire a dj because everyone that we looked were either out of our price range or already booked (who would've thought that a 6 month engagement means you take what you can get? lol). We were so happy with Stephen! I was not the most prepared bride and left a lot of things for last minute, but he was on top of everything! He was able to get all the songs I wanted and was very reassuring. Needless to say, everyone had a blast! Steve is the best!!! Our best friends got married in May and used Steve as their DJ and we had the best time! We hired him to DJ our wedding last month and we are so happy with our choice! I don't think I left the dance floor the entire night. The flow of the wedding went perfectly, there was never a dull moment and when it came time to dance, the music was perfect. I didn't actually meet Steve until the day of our wedding because we do not live locally. However, I never had any doubts that he would be fantastic. We spoke multiple times before our wedding and Steve just seemed to understand what we wanted. We requested a few songs and he knew others that would go with it just off the top of his head. When it came to our special dances, Steve was able to cut the songs we chose down to 3 minutes without them sounding cut off or strange. Steve provided a lapel microphone for our officiant, handed microphones to all those giving toasts at our wedding, and kept great music going all night. We heard from several guests that the music was great. I was amazed at how well he kept everyone dancing all night long. He read the crowd, took requests and kept the event super light and fun all night. We had a few last minute changes to our dance choices and Steve remembered them correctly and confirmed them with us multiple times. He even called just to ensure he had all the wedding party's names written phonetically so he said them correctly when we were announced! DJ Steve was absolutely amazing. We hired Steve for our wedding at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore based on the recommendation of our wedding planner. DJ Steve has a great online tool for music selections and was able to read our wedding party crowd so well. Steve is absolutely amazing!! We couldn't have asked for anything better!Steve was the DJ at our wedding back in May at Las Positas Winery in Livermore. He had worked with our venue and other vendors before and it just felt like a perfect fit!! He was very laid back (a quality we loved) and accommodating with every step. He provided a site to add all our details (play list, do not playlist, time frame, names, etc.), lighting, and ultimately a great flow to our day. Steve Perry knows how to put his clients first. Steve Perry was our DJ for our wedding and he knocked it out of the park. We had an assortment of English and Latin American music which he blended very well . Not only did he create an amazing playlist that all 72 of my wedding guests loved, he was also extremely attentive to the songs that we requested even though some were not in English.Steve Perry is a cut above the rest because of his amazing software that his clients get to use to pick songs. Not only does Steve's program allow you to request/change songs whenever you want, you can specify songs for the cake cutting, first dance, last dance,  you can put in the order of your bridal party, you can put down the order you want to be announced, who needs extra microphones, if you want extra lights, an much more.In all, Steve Perry had all the songs we could think of, was a phenomenal DJ, was easy to work with and stress free. My wife and I retained Steve for DJ services and projector and screen services as well for our wedding this past November.  From the very beginning, Steve's professionalism and reassuring demeanor put us at ease.  He was super flexible on everything (for example, we had asked Steve to do our uplighting for us as well, but then we found out later that a friend of a family friend had an uplighting business and so we asked Steve if it would be ok if we gave that work to him and he was totally ok with it).  He has an excellent web-based portal that can be used to put in all the detailed instructions, timeline, and music selections which I thought was intuitive and quite useful.  In addition, on the day of the wedding, Steve had great energy in making all the announcements, playing all the music that we asked for, and making sure everything was running along smoothly.  I could not recommend him strongly enough if you are looking for a DJ! I am extremely happy I decided to book my engagement party with Steve. Steve was immensely helpful with getting the playlist set up and was readily available with any and all questions I had leading up to the party. Francisco was our DJ and he was very attentive to the mixed crowd we had at the party. He was very easy to work with and went above and beyond with every request. So happy that we booked Steve to DJ our wedding this past March.  I have heard from a few guests how much fun they had dancing the night away.  My parents have even told me that more people were up and dancing then they usually see at weddings.  I think this is all do to Steve and his ability to get people up on the dance floor. He has a wonderful selection of music to choice from and his website makes it so easy to select songs, and plan the timeline for your event.   Not to mention he was willing to work with me on songs he didn't already own and found the specific classical Spanish guitar songs I wanted played during the ceremony.  I would not hesitate for a second to book Steve for any other event where I may need services of a DJ.  Such a pleasure to work with. We are more than thrilled that we chose to have Steve to DJ our wedding on 4/11//15. Throughout the whole planning process, Steve was always an email or phone call away. He replied to every email and phone call promptly and professionally.I was truly impressed with his extensive library of music, and once we created our playlist, he truly seemed to get the "vibe" we were trying to have for our wedding music. Not only did he keep the party going, but he truly knew his music!! He knew which songs would blend together nicely. He kept our dance floor FULL throughout the reception, which was really important to us! There were some unforeseen last minute changes in our reception, and Steve rolled with the changes. Even had suggestions on how to work around these changes! As this was the second marriage for both of us, we wanted a less traditional wedding. We wanted our wedding reception to be more of a party, and Steve came up with suggestions so our reception would be just that!! Our venue saved all our wedding items. Steve is absolutely fantastic! I'm so so happy we chose him to be the dj for our wedding on 2/7/15!! He always got back to me throughout the whole planning process in a timely manner, even when I was sometimes difficult to get a hold of. He did an amazing job as the MC for the wedding, his announcements were fun and exciting. His timing on all the songs for both the ceremony and reception was impeccable. Excellent!! I am so happy that Steve DJ'd our wedding on 9/20/14! Steve always put my mind at ease which meant so much to me as the event got closer and I got more nervous. He's very knowledgeable about music from all genres and he took the time to talk about what music we liked and wanted to dance to at our wedding. We had a country wedding, but we like dancing to pop/rap music. Steve did an amazing job at playing the right music at the right time and packing the dance floor with all the guests. Several people have commented on how great all the music was at our wedding (from when guests arrived until the end of the night), even months later! Also, our ceremony site had no power. We didn't want to run an orange extension cord or hear a loud generator in the background... Steve was a true problem solver and pulled this off no problem! Steve was a pleasure to work with and I really liked his online event planner, it was easy to navigate through with and ensured that all the music we wanted was played. I booked Perry's Mobile service for my June wedding. When I called back in January, Steve was already booked, but told me his partner, Hugo Valladares was available. They worked together at a previous company and now have their own mobile service. At first I was hesitant because Hugo had never done a wedding on his own, but Steve assured me he was great. I met with Hugo, felt comfortable right away, gave him our wedding outline and then had him on our rehearsal day. Steve was there to help and answered any questions I had. The day of the wedding, everything went as planned and Hugo was an amazing DJ for our wedding. I am still getting compliments on how awesome he was and how well he mixed music. In January, I called Perry's Mobile for my June wedding and Steve was already booked. He recommended his partner, Hugo Valladares who he gave great reviews for. What I thought was going to be a terribly sad story for my son turned out fantastic because of calling Steve Perry.  It was such short notice that there was no chance to put together a playlist but that didn't stop Steve from producing a great evening and taking requests from the guys.  Thank you Steve for saving our party when a DJ canceled at the last minute.  It was a party for 17yo's with our dining room cleared out so they could dance.  Steve came early and set up, was respectful to the kids, polite and played great music.  So many teens showed up that the dance floor kept shrinking.  I was thrilled that Steve was so professional and mindful of our neighbors as the time got late.  He worked with me on pricing which was almost my downfall because of the quotes that I got when trying to replace the other DJ.  I would and will continue to recommend him to my friends.  Thank you for a great evening! We are so very happy to have found Stephen to DJ our wedding. Although his rates are quite reasonable, having a DJ was the biggest expense of our D. I.Y. wedding, but worth every penny! Stephen helped turn our reception into a true celebration with his music, skill, and kind personality.
We were somewhat nervous about hiring Stephen because we are a Jewish same sex couple and weren’t sure of his experience and comfort level with either type of wedding. However, we were treated with the utmost respect at all times. He did a great job with the Jewish music, and to our delight and surprise every single guest danced the horah with us. The chair dance is also one of our happiest memories.
We both love to dance and actually met at a dance, so music and dancing was to be a big part of our wedding celebration, and Stephen did not disappoint. He played a lot of what we wanted along with his own choices, which really complimented our style and requests. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and Stephen helped make that happen!
