We've been looking for the right acting program to enroll our daughter in and PASA is it! Taylor Vaughn and Paul Tinder are awesome people, very knowledgeable about the business, and very easy to work with. On the first day of the camp, they made it clear that this program is designed to train and prepare actors for show business, not just playing at acting. I was pretty impressed after their talk to all of the parents who had enrolled their kids in the summer camp about PASA policies and what to expect. The proof of the quality of this program has been that, every day, our daughter has come home from camp fired up and ready to get back to it the next day (She was actually sad about no camp over the weekend). We are definitely keeping our daughter in this program!!! More...

I've been coming here for classes for about a year now. This place has the best welcoming environment I could ever ask for. I have more confidence and am able to come out of my shell because of the way Mr. Paul teaches. He's very encouraging and makes me think about my choices as an actor in a different way. I've been to a show here as well, and I very much enjoyed it! This is a great place to come if you want to explore acting or take in a show. I highly recommend doing both!! :-) More...

Absolutley the most amazing place for young minds to grow. I take my stepdaughter up here and when i see her face because of the fun and education, it makes me forget of all the issues of life and its about her. Her recent performance was superb, and seeing how this establishment helped, shows the type of nurturing provided here. The staff truely care about the development of all attending. Placing yourself or your children in this program builds confidence, MANNERs, respect, discipline, and fulfills dreams. I will continue to take my daughter here because it is hard to find an establishment/business that cares so much that my values at home are carried on there. Thank you so much for the amazing time that she has had and to the future with PASA. More...

If you are serious about furthering your acting career and getting strong in all aspects including monologues, cold reads, scene work, blocking, methods for finding and being immersed in your character, and even learning to adapt to changes that may occur during a production, this is where you definitely need to be. Paul will push you out of your comfort zone, which is what you need to be successful and compete in the industry. You are not going to get away with half-hearted efforts, and he will not allow you to say "I can't do this." Paul is extremely passionate about acting and helping you blossom into your full potential. First timers might be intimidated if they have never taken acting classes before, but Paul definitely does what are you paying him to do-and that is to make you stronger and better. Paul has a vibrant personality, will make you laugh, and make you feel welcome in class, but he never strays off subject and makes each minute in class productive. He understands that there is no "one size fits all" regarding techniques, and will have students try different things to see what works best for them. Quite frankly, if you don't get anything out of his classes or find it too difficult, you're straight up not ready for the acting industry. That is what he is there for-to make you good enough to compete with the best L.A. and N.Y. people. If you want to grow and be successful-go to PASA. More...

Paul and Vaughn are amazing. I haven't worked with Vaughn too much but the time I did was great. Paul on the other hand I have worked with quite a bit and what I love about him is how he questions you rather than giving you an answer. He's a funny and caring guy who really wants you to figure it out on your own. He will give you ideas and give you advice but he wants to see where you take the script. If he told you what to do, then it wouldn't be original. At first it's quite intimidating but once you realize what he is trying to give you, you will be BLOWN away. I have been and am currently going to another acting school. However I am beyond excited to start here again. My name is Mathian Riendeau. I've wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until I started searching for community theaters, around 10th grade, that performing arts San Antonio, caught my eye. I reached out to them, checking to see if there were any summer classes I could take to start my training as an actor. I had about five years experience in choir and I often was entertaining people in my free time. PASA asked me to come in to audition for a musical they were putting up a musical since there were no summer classes (that was a school year gig). After landing the part of a lead in their musical production of: Happy Days, I learned on the job all of what I needed to do to be successful in a show, how the theater operated, and even more during the rehearsal process. My remaining two years of high school I continued to take classes each semester at PASA from anything from Broadway workshopping to acting on film. These two years I would do 3 more shows and learn what it takes to get into the colleges I wanted to. Paul and Vaughn guided me and gave me advice on what to do with big decisions and showed me how I can take the best path to reach my goals as a professional actor. I'm now proudly attending Baldwin Wallace University for a BFA in Acting. I'm forever grateful for this establishment and the wonderful Paul Tinder and Vaughn Taylor-Tinder. I can proudly look back and say I got my start at Performing Arts San Antonio. Most of the reviews I have read about PASA are from parents, and that's awesome, but I'm here to tell you about this place as an adult, and a student. When I first looked into PASA, that's what I wanted to see, so hopefully this will help any teens/adults that want to check this out. I love PASA. I have gone to three sessions ( two six week ones, and one eight week one with a showcase), and I don't regret one single moment. I go to the Wednesday class with Paul Tinder. Paul explains things in a fun way, and in a way that is easy to follow. You heard about low pressure teaching? This is no pressure. You get to have fun, and learn the craft all at the same time! When I came into the first class, I was my shy, bottled up and closed off self.. by the end of the first session, I learned how to open up, and realize that it's ok to do so. PASA is a comfortable environment with friendly students and teachers. You WILL learn in this class. Every session you take is different as well, so you get a wide range of how things work, and how to bring out the character, and the truth of the moment. Paul Tinder and Vaugn Taylor are the real deal. You can look up their resume's on IMDB. They are industry professionals, and have actually done good work within it. They know what they are doing, they know how to get you there too. You get good, sound teaching, from a Pro from L.A., and with these classes being less pricy than other classes in town? What are you waiting for? I'm not a "google user" Im leaving this so you know who I am. You will probably even see me in the class itself too. So quit debating.. if you want to learn how to act, or even if you just want to quit being shy and know how to break out of your shell.. then this is where you need to be. If you're concerned about being too old? I'm 32, and by far not the oldest person taking the class. I know I said it already, but this is a very good place, with good, supportive people in it. You're cheating yourself by not taking at least one session with PASA. They even let you audit a class for free just to see how it all works! So, what do you have to lose? -Michael Seale More...
