Perform and transform is the place to be. I came here after having not exercised in a long time, walking up a hill got me out of breath! After training here, I feel awesome. Patrick, Aki, and Edward are such awesome guys to be around - both as qualified trainers here, and as friendly, genuine people in general. As an underweight, weak newbie with some health issues who wanted to eventually join the gym (but had neither the experience or knowledge of how to do things with proper form and safety), coming to Perform and Transform was the exact push - a supportive, patient, and motivating one - that I needed to get in the right direction. Aki, being my main trainer, supported me in my goals to gain weight and strength for the next several months. I had high hopes for what I expected in a trainer: someone who was experienced in training many clients already, patient with my health situation, explained how each workout would impact my body, explained clearly in steps how to lift with proper form and help spot me when necessary, occasionally change my workouts to make it more fun/tailor it for times that I have pain, wouldn't belittle my struggles, and of course be encouraging. I appreciate that Aki is a trainer who does all of these things! He's also funny, lets me pick workout songs to play, checks in (alongside with Patrick) about my goals/nutrition and feedback for themselves as trainers, and knows when to push me. I would best describe my training experience with Aki like hanging out with a jovial friend, except that this friend is way more knowledgeable about the technical side of fitness. If anyone is intimidated by personal one-on-one training, I'd recommend mixing it up through partner or group training to make it more fun. Alongside personal training, I had the opportunity to meet a lovely person through partner training (shout out to Nina, you're the coolest!!). It was so motivating to work out with a strong partner, see them work really hard, and in turn make me feel encouraged to work harder too! Training here has transformed my fitness level and my lifestyle. For example, before this I was intimidated to even touch the barbell squat rack area. I would've never imagined that I could (and probably wouldn't even have tried to) squat more than 135 lbs without Aki's support. I also gained over 10 lbs (I am in my highest weight I've ever been in my entire life - another thing I've never achieved before, among other things), finally worked up the motivation to transition into gym, and I have substantially more energy to perform my work duties. I'm picky in who I trust, and after my experience here it's easy to say that I would absolutely recommend anyone to make an investment into their long-term health and put their trust into these trainers at Perform and Transform. Patrick is an excellent coach, remaining positive, even when I haven't kept to my home program as well as I should have. He helps me set manageable goals and together we review my food log snd exercise habits since my previous session with him. This helps me to remsin accountable and 'keep on keeping on' when I otherwise could get discouraged. In the past I tried so many diets which only set me up for further weight gain when I returned to my old habits. Now I am combining good eating habits with regular exercise...and am seeing steady, positive results. Patrick is an awesome personsl trainer, encouraging and helpful. Patrick is an amazing personal trainer, he has honestly changed my life. It was because of his encouragement that I decided to take my health seriously. Before I started, I wasn’t doing any kind of exercise, my cholesterol was getting a bit high and I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I also deal with mental health issues and it’s completely changed how I feel mentally as well. I look forward to my work outs now, I walk all the time trying to make my steps on my Fitbit and I also started meal prepping every week. I’m not exaggerating when I say: I have been in the best shape of my life thanks to Perform & Transform! I have been the worst health-wise this year, going to the ER for heart problems and being diagnosed with sleep apnea. Patrick helped me turn my health around to its best this year. I go to this trainer patrick Liu 2 days a week and have been training month half and he has ultimately changed my life for the better! I was in the dumps had no nutritional clue and never had a clue how to count calories! Now i got 10 pounds off my body! An understanding trainer and someone who is not gonna be-little if i go over my calories but keeps me going! If you want someone you can count on and reach your ultimate goals i recommend Patrick!
