We went to Perch for the first time a couple weeks ago and everything was INCREDIBLE!!! Every single menu item, drink, side, and dessert was exploding with flavor! The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and the head chef even came out to our table to introduce himself, check on our meal, and tell us about the history of the restaurant. We are huge foodies and love trying new places, and I can honestly say this was one of the best meals we have EVER had in the entire City of Richmond! Kudos to everyone who is a part of Perch! First of all, Chef Mike!!! Not only is he talented but you often see him on the dining room floor talking to guests. He’s awesome! ! I’ve tried many menu items and nothing disappoints. I tried the Pork Lumpia tonight and it was so tasty. Between the friendly staff, great atmosphere, and the Executive Chef/Owner you’ll have a great experience and leave happy �. The tags to choose from for reviews don’t include “attentive, top notch staff.” I was in Perch twice this weekend (with a reservation each time). One can rave about all of the fun foods on the menu - but the true test was in the execution of what many people would consider the lowly garlic fried rice. Amazing night at Perch! Our group tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed! From the amazingly rich and satisfying Lemon Chicken soup, to the unique and delicious desserts - we had one of each! - everything was perfect! We sat in the back room, which was not quite as lively as up front, but was much quieter, and gave us the added pleasure of being able to see into the kitchen. Great food from beginning to end. We arrived at 5:00pm and didn’t leave until 8:00pm. Most everything from the appetizers, salads, small plates, entrees, dessert, and finally coffee - were astounding. Great expected flavors were mixed in with unexpected and delicious surprises. .
