Pepitos Mexican Restaurant

I have been here for 5 months now, and this is by far the best Mexican food in the area. They are fast, friendly and have buy one get one drinks every night.

I get excited when i walk into a Mexican restaurant and there's Spanish people eating inside. It was pretty good! They have wings (i know. Why go to a Mexican restaurant and get wings. But they said they highly suggested them so that's what i got.) they were soooo frekin good and you get 10 wings. Don't you dare put ranch on these wings lol. My kid got a taco. The meat was a bit spicy for her (but hey, real Mexican food isn't free of spice. They have a nice drink selection. The rice and beans weren't that great but good enough. This is a truly great restaurant!  The food is quality, the service is excellent and they care about getting it right!  The management really wants to know if they've gotten it right and/or what they can do to make things right. Jarritos, margaritas, good music, great cheese dip. Overall enjoyable. For the area, the food was great, with many different options to accommodate different eating. Especially if you aren't fond of seafood, this place is a Gem. The portion of quesadilla was a little small, but the well-put-together sides balanced the plate and made up for it. We visit the area this time every year and last year we ate here but the service was subpar.  We tried again on 9/22/19 and had much improved service from our server.  The food was good and the margaritas were huge and buy one get one until 7 pm.  The place was not overcrowded but was filling up and buzzing with customers the whole time.  We eat a lot of Mexican food and while I'm not a native of Mexico, I thought the food was prepared fresh and with top end ingredients. Best Mexican we've had in a long time!  We went on a Wednesday night and they were really busy. We were able to grab 2 seats at the bar, where you can still order food. The happy hour margaritas are strong!  The bartender, Iana, was very friendly and helpful. We loved the chips and salsa, as well as our chicken chimichanga. So the our little family went to Destin, Fl, for vacation this past summer,(for the second time) we went to another Pepito's location the first time around and we had just about the same experience as we did this time around, let me start with the chips and queso, it was really good just like fist time, our server was very friendly, wife and I got a pitcher of Texas margaritas and was having a good time, eventually we got hungry the wife ordered some wings(I know it's a Mexican place but whatever) I went ahead and ordered my favorite the BIG S burrito, I got it made out of steak man the smell of the green salsa that was on top and the melted cheese it was just amazing, I'm a pretty bud dude and I'm going to tell you right now I could not finish that thing to save my life, the year before I tried to finish it but I only got about a quarter there and had to take it to go this time around I ate half of it and had to take the rest home, it tasted amazing the next morning when I warmed it up in the microwave! ! Delicious food! Their Queso was bomb!! Loved my chicken quesadilla. I can't remember what my husband had but I tried it and it was amazing as well (I know that's not very helpful ‍). Came here for my birthday and loved it. Staff was super nice. We had a party of 10 people and they treated everyone good. I had the loaded ground beef burrito and it was absolutely delicious . Pretty much everyone like their meal except one person in my party who got a fish scallop and shrimp fajhetia  combo. The scallop was so small you didn't even notice it and the fish he said wasn't good. He liked the shrimp tho. Other then that everyone else loved their food and devoured it. Hit the spot. Also don't tell them it's your birthday. My parents did it for me and I found it super embarrassing. They give you a large Mexican hat (can't spell it) and they put whipped cream on your face. Someone is obviously driving a campaign to ruin Pepitos Ratings on the internet... Scorned Customer... You Suck as a Human! Pepitos is that Step up from fast food, with street tacos, fat burritos, and standard Mexican food... Always been tasty, as good as I remember, West Coast “Yellow Sign” Mexican (Roberto’s and the like)... Always check your Bill, anywhere you go... Fuck.. where do I start. Well with the appetizer. Ordered the 3 cheese dip. Cheese Chorizo, bean and cheese and reg. Chorizo cheese dip is where it's at. So good. Real tortilla chips make the difference as well. Had a "fresh margarita" knocked my dick in the dirt. I'm a fat brown man that can fuck up a Rita. But this one don't play. Was better than expected the spicy powder and salt rim on the Rita was nice. I ordered some street tacos as my main meal. Pastor, lengua and chorizo. Mutherfucken tacos made me happy. WOW! The best authentic Mexican food we've had since moving here three years ago- Our server Flora was highly attentive. Food came out fast hot and full of flavor. Premium large margarita was huuuuuge and too much for me to finish, so it's definitelyly meant to be shared.   A little mix up with that, but management took care of it.
