Lovely hotel accommodating large groups easily. Stayed a week in a lake view room for a karate tournament and everything was fantastic. Great initiative for $10 daily off F&B in lieu of housekeeping. My husband and I have stayed at the Lakeside Resort many many times over the last twenty years!The staff are super friendly and very helpful,The food in both restaurants is excellent ,and the views from the Hooded Merganser are breathtaking! The view of the lake from our room was beautiful. Conveniently located and they offer two dining options which is perfect. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the newer wing so the room was modern and nicely laid out. They were doing construction during our stay so it was noisy in the morning and the trucks/equipment were a bit of an eyesore but looking forward to the long term goal of making the rooms nicer. I stayed at this hotel 35 years ago. Love the Barking Parrot for happy hour. Thur have a band on the weekend from 5pm to 8pm. I booked us for my husband birthday weekend. The hotel was sold out but I managed to call and get a room. Score! Not realizing we would be in the new tower. Very happy! Nice room. The workman ship was average and is already showing wear and tear. Love the set up. Large bathroom, great shower, fire place & comfortable bed. The pillows don't match the bed as they are small and firm. Love the bar bed set up. Has a microwave and coffee maker. The dancing on the weekend could use a better DJ or better yet the band who plays at happy hour! Nice beach but they could  clean it up. I picked up glass 2 times and garbage. They need to take and dredge it. The patio light stayed on all night which lite up the room all night. Lots of debree. I would defiantly stay here again. More...

We have only stayed here for one night, but was happy with the room for the most part. Great patio with stunning view and comfortable bed. The pillows were way to big/thick, woke up a couple times throughout the night with a sore neck. The other thing was maid knocking on the door at 8am, a bit early for us, who were looking forward to a nice sleep in. We realized after it was written(not very noticeably) on our door key envelope. so remember to put out your "do not disturb" sign if you want to sleep in! I would stay here again though! More...

My husband and I love it here. It’s a great place to go when we need a little get away from the lower mainland. Great views the staff is always fantastic. You can’t go wrong with dinner at the hooded merganser or drinks and appy’s at the barking parrot. We go least once a year and usually try to get a penthouse if it’s available (great rooms with a lot of space). We just booked to come up in beginning September to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and thought we would try suite in the new wing since we haven’t stayed in that part yet. So looking forward it, highly recommended. I tell friends all the time is they are going to Pentiction that they had to stay here. More...

I stayed a week. After a bumpy check in with a trainee (all good, everyone is to learn) and the IMMENSE frustration at the magnetic keys,,pretty sure I heard every excuse known to magnetic keys. Went through 9 keys in a week. But honestly the experience was great. I see reviews that the pool are is old,,,,the place is old. I enjoyed my times in the pool and ABSOLUTELY LOVE the adult swim time of 10-12. I gave ya 4 stars. But only cuz of the key frustrations. Your staff are amazing. As GM is the serving industry , I perhaps have. A little more empathy. Kudos to a job well don on hosting the CCS pool tournament. See you next year for certain. More...

What an amazing hotel / Resort, we spent 2 night and stayed in the new west wing hotel building, which was built last year. Very clean and luxurious, staff is super friendly with 1st class service. My kids had so much fun, they asked me to go again next year to the same resort instead going to Toronto or Montreal . Beautiful private lake beach. We rented a boat & did so many activities on the lake .this resort has 3 different restaurants. I will thank the hotel management for this great work and being Successful in business, I will rate 5 stars and I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel resort. More...

Beautiful resort right on the lake. We stayed for our anniversary weekend with the a 2 night package. The king room we received overlooks the lake, with a king bed and sofa area. Patio has two chairs to relax on. Looking forward to trying the restaurant tonight. More...

This hotel has helped out with a few non profit charitable fundraiser I have done, and I believe they deserve a huge shout out! I have also stayed here numerous times! Their hotel is huge! The lobby is adorable and very comfortable! I am saddened the casino is gone! The hotel is right in okanogen lake with beautiful views if you get the back hotel. The hotel has its own boat launch 2 restaraunts and a pub as well as it turns into a nightclub at night! It's the only night club other then 1 other in penticton but the other club is not a fun place to visit! Barking parrot is great! Clean and up to date with style and comfortThe rooms are comfy and nice sized not too tiny! The staff is accommodating. This hotel is great for family or fun visits! It's in the heart of wine tastings! In the winter they have their own ice skating rink they had built! Also close to Main Street with shopping and other things to check out! Farmers market is on the weekends mostly in summer which is a fun family event! If your looking for a place to stay I would highly recommend this place! Lots of parking. More...

We were in Penticton for a hockey Tournament this past weekend up at Apex. Our whole team stayed and we had many team meals at the The Hooded Merganser, Bar, Grill and Marina (which offers many delicious gluten free options), the kids loved playing mini hockey games on the little rink, the staff was attentive and friendly. I have to leave HUGE praise for the The Hooded Merganser, Bar, Grill and Marina for helping me out - I was sick while I was up there and as I have celiac disease "comfort foods" are hard to find. No matter what I asked for (mashed potatoes x2 - a bowl of rice noodles with no sauce, smoothies) they brought it to my room and always asked how I was feeling. Thank you you have no idea how much that meant. And to our housekeeper, Chantele - the children are still talking about the cookies We will be back for sure. More...

I just returned from staying here for two nights and was thoroughly impressed. I stayed in the lovely new tower and everything was delightful. Very comfortable bed; beautiful bathroom with double sinks and big shower; lots of room for my work stuff and a deck with chaises overlooking the gorgeous lake. The restaurants had fabulous food (I went to all three!) and the staff were so very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend an extended stay here! More...

So impressed with the service we received from the young ladies at the front desk. They were very friendly and helpful. Due to an error with my sister's booking we were all offered an upgrade in rooms. Our rooms in the new tower are spectacular!! Thank you so much, we are so appreciative. I have never stayed here myself but my friends and family have and thoroughly enjoy it. They also give back so much to the community, host lots of charity events, one of my favourites is the free rink in the winter, which I think is amazing.

We enjoyed the room with a view of Lake Okanagan, the restaurants were very good, the weight room is outstanding and the location sits at the beginning of the beach promenade in the heart of all the restaurants along the lake and the strip! It's right near the Naramata Bench where there are over 30 vineyards to choose to visit. It's also right next door to boat rentals and close to the Skaha river channel where you can float down this river on inflatables! More...

Stayed only for an evening, Comfortable room, Great Late night room sevice, have the cheese pizza it's great and the chicken finger rock! Book online get Late check out and a Credit for one of three resaurants. Would stay again! Oh and the view over the Lake is breathtaking. We have travelled from Comox Valley to Penticton for the last 5 years for a week stay here and we always enjoy our stay. Very sad the casino will be moving out of the building though...always had good luck and alot of fun there without leaving the premisses.Deffiantly will be back again. More...
