Chris at Penguin Flowers really came through for me: Since I couldn't attend my daughter's baby shower there in Corvallis, I had ordered a floral bouquet to be delivered to her by noon. Unfortunately, I forgot the time difference between the Midwest and West Coast (I know--duh). Chris dropped everything and covered for my error, delivering a beautiful, festive bouquet with balloons to my daughter in time for the shower! The orchid is lovely, but I was most impressed by the effort of the equally lovely and determined delivery person.We live waaaay out in the boonies; she had to negotiate with a neighbor about how to open our gate: he couldn’t reach us on the phone. Fortunately, I was walking down to get the mail, saw her and opened the gate. She drove up the last half mile to the house and left it on the porch. I've used Penguin Flowers several times in the past 3 years for flowers on special occasions.  I've used them twice within the past two months for my wife's birthday and for our anniversary.  I always go directly into their flower shop rather than call in my order, so I can see exactly what I am going to get.,  They have always been very kind and helpful in picking out just the right arrangement for the occasion.  They also honored some discount coupons I received from 1-800-Flowers, even though I didn't order the flowers through the 1-800-Flowers website or on the toll free number directly.  They can suggest little improvements to bouquets that are shown in the picture albums they have, so that the arrangement is personalized to your need or your event.  I will be using Penquin Flowers again whenever I need flowers. They were friendly and helpful. The only things semi bad was that they didn't have the snapdragons that was shown in the picture, but they said they could substitute it out with something else, which was ok because i was doing a last min order. When the flowers were delivered to my mother inlaw they were more beautiful than the picture. It made my mother inlaws day and the florist out did themselves and went above and beyond.
