It's been a year since I joined PFP and im very happy with results - 15kg weight loss, my initial goal strengthen back and core achieved and most importantly my diet is day and night comparing what I was eating last year this time around. Thanks Nigel!

When rugby pre season was upon us, A friend recommended Nigel Pearson for pre season fitness. He came out to the clubhouse and did an FMS test on us and gave us a program. I left my current gym and went to PFP I was surprised with what I saw: free weights, prowlers, squat racks etc. It's not your typical gym it's better. As the program progressed I notice I was getting stronger and shocked at the weight I was lifting! there's no way I would be doing half of the exercises I am doing now if it wasn't for Nigel's guidance. And the classes at PFP are equally tough but enjoyable at the same time. I would recommend PFP to everyone the atmosphere is great the staff are helpful. You don't know your bodies limits until you go to PFP you will be shocked at what you can do! More...

Joining PFP has been such a positive addition to me both physically and mentally. The best thing about training with Nigel is that it's such a positive experience. Nigel is very knowledgeable about all aspects of strength and conditioning training, and when he is not correcting your form his head can be found in a book reading! Nigel is full of encouragement, and results that follow. Personal programs help you achieve your goals.

Nigel is great about checking in on your progress. Proper nutrition is an important part of PFP. Nigel gives you the tools to progress and succeed.

I've never been a fan of gyms and thought I’d get on fine in my training without one but I was struggling to improve my run times and having heard good things about PFP decided to give it a go. I quickly learned my form when doing some exercises wasn't what it should be and was glad to finally be shown the right way to do things. Nigel designed a personal programme for me with my specific goals in mind and went through each exercise with me first. Within two weeks I reached a 5k Personal Best that I had been chasing for three years, within a month I had a new 10k PB and since then I've picked up the pace some more and hit a new half marathon PB. Anyone that is serious about a change, I would certainly recommend PFP! It was recommended to me by a friend. I was in a crash and damaged both knees and my shoulder, lost what little muscle I had and had to stop working 10 months later after a 4 month recovery stint. I became a member in Oct 2013 and wanted to lose weight to help my knees and build up muscle in my legs and shoulders. Adding to that I didn't have a great diet and had stomach problems made worse from the accident, I went to classed 4/5 times a week and love them but wasn't seeing results regarding my weight, Nigel had warned me against running as it would not benefit my knees nor weight but I ignored his advise and started running every other day I wasn't in the gym. I thought more exercise less food I would lose weight fast, 6 weeks later, my knees were worse I would have to ice them every day, they were even sore when i went to sit down and ended gaining weight. I explained this all to Nigel knowing he warned me against it and he said he would help me once I followed his plan, he did an assessment on me and created a food plan, improve sleeping patterns, lessen my phone usage at night, recommended supplements for my stomach and eliminate grains and most dairys from my diet. Two weeks later I had dropped 7lbs and continued this pattern, now I am 35lbs lighter, feel great, instead of visiting my physio every week it's once ever 2 months, my knees don't pain my a fraction as much, I feel great and don't feel sick when I eat. I could'nt recommend Pearson Fitness & Performance enough.
I stared working with Nigel about 6 months ago after tearing MCL's in both knees within 6 months of each other doing karate.
After initial physio rehab , Nigel put together a personal S&C program to get me back into Karate and correct my lack of strength and mobility issues that were causing the injuries.
The results have been better than I ever could have imagined. 6 months in , I've gone up another rank in Karate, both knees are feeling good and I'm stronger and training better than I ever have.
The training will definitely get me though my next ranking which is to get me to Black belt if I'm successful.
It's been tough but well worth the effort.

Hi I am a mother of 4 on maternity leave at the minute and I started training with Nigel after New Years I heard about the gym through my little bro who is a member. I do a few of his classes every week which are free to members which is great and I do and 1 to 1 session with him on a Thursday. I found Nigel had a brilliant personality and was very knowledgable he was easy to talk to and he had a great way of explaining each exercise to me as I was a beginner and didn't understand most of them. He has introduced progressions when needed and really monitors my progress. He has opened my eyes to how important a good diet is to as I had been doing it all wrong. Iv noticed great results already and hope to keep it up. The gym is really relaxed there is no bullshit everybody is there to train hard and any other member iv met so far has been lovely. Joined the gym in early January after a persistent Achilles' tendon injury which was hindering me from running on and off for the past two years. Nigel drew up a specific programme for my injury which I've followed for the past 8 weeks. I'm back running now, totally injury free, thanks to the strength and conditioning program. Some one recommended 3 months ago for me to visit Nigel, I put it on a list of "to do's", doubting initially that it was not going to do much for me, so eventually after 1 too many bouts of discomfort in my lower back, I decided to give it go. In 7 weeks alone I feel stability again and control and can start to do normal things e.g. go for a walk with out a knock on pain. Nigel and the team have been very encouraging and attentive and you cannot ask for anything more. So if you think a gym is just for fitness, its not, it is, as I have learned about providing a means to rehabilitate which I never appreciated before. Hands down the best decision I've ever made regarding fitness/training. It took me a while to be convinced having trained in conventional gyms, spending hours running on treadmills etc. But I'm converted! Nigel is knowledgable, approachable and driven, and his classes and personal training sessions have had me achieve what I never thought I could. The atmosphere in the gym is so positive and everyone is constantly encouraged and pushed to their limits to achieve personal goals. Could not recommend PFP enough. More...

I couldn't recommend PFP enough ! Genuinely the best all rounded gym in the county from high intensity training to burning calories through different means of cardio PFP has it all. I never thought I would be a girl for weights and lifting but rather one for a cross trainer or treadmill but with PFP my opinion an attitude towards lifting weights has completely changed !
