We just completed the family puppy class with Mandy. It was the Most Fun, & Mandy is Amazing !!! She can have a pup do anything almost immediately ! And she helps you know what you need to do or are doing a bit wrong in such a nice way. Our goal is for Bogey to become a Happy Tails therapy dog. Mandy has given us confidence that we will be able to pass the test once Bogey turns one. Thank you So Much, Mandy !!! We cannot recommend Peach on a Leash Dog Training & Behavior Services enough! We have a 2 year old male mini poodle with mostly genetic general anxiety disorder and fear based aggression. We've had Alex Sessa come to our home for in -home private training, and we just completed a leash reactivity group class, where I met most of the other trainers with POAL. The tools, guidance, tips, exercises and support that we received so far to continue to train our dog has been invaluable, and completely speaks to the experience, knowledge and overall awesomeness :) of this incredible team of dog trainers. We are thrilled with how quickly Ryan has trained us and Cookie! He has taught me and the kids how to get amazing results. The positive rewards and shaping system is wonderful. Cookie loves learning because it’s all treats and fun! I was hesitant to leave Cookie to go on vacation but all the pictures and videos of her having fun with her new furry friends made me realize she was having a better vacation than we were!! Hallie at Peach on a Leash did board and train for my 4-month old puppy who, when I got her, had never been on a blade of grass. My puppy was used to going inside in her crate on a pee pad and I couldn't get to go potty outside at all. Hallie did a lot of problem solving and figured out how to get her to go outside and the plan was easy to implement at home. Now the puppy is on a schedule and going outside and everyone is happy. My sister came to visit and she put her two pups in DogPhoria. We spent a lot of time watching them on the webcam! Without actually being there, it looks like a very well run operation. The concrete floors make cleanups quick and easy and everything looks very sanitary. The kurandas and playscapes scattered around are perfect. I’m so glad I had my dog train with Peach! I was looking for some training to get my 2 year old dog to obey commands, and so many of them seemed like military boot camps. I’m a single woman and I wanted my dog to know how to listen to ME, not a drill sergeant. My dog just completed her Manners in-home private training, and I’m so pleased with how she’s obeying now. We just completed the Brew Dog 101 course at Gate City Brewery. There were several trainers and a room with about 10-15 dogs. The class focused on loose leash walking, distractions, general basics, and how to have your dog be cool at a brewery. I really loved the amount of attention we received from the trainers. I think we are a little bit "extra" and the trainers met us where we were at with kindness. I felt so stressed in the first class because I didn't know how to handle my pup. They taught me so much in that hour. Cooper and I practiced all week, and by the 2nd class we were already in a much better position. The 3rd class felt really fun and I was sooooo proud of my Cooper. The instructors set such a good example for me with their calm assertiveness. Thank you so much Peach on a Leash. We had a little Shih Tzu puppy that had crate PTSD, and Julia helped us turn that around! Our little guy is going into “his room” voluntarily, taking toys in and out, and overall really enjoying it! We did the puppy training 101 in our home and Julia really helped our little one overcome all of his fears (the crate, going down the stairs) and helped us work with him on potty training! We have been doing in home training with our puppy Bailey and she has done so well! I really think the in home environment benefits us rather than training in another location and trying to reset those experiences at home. The trainer at Peach On A Leash has been so helpful in training us as new owners and Bailey through her puppy phase. We HIGHLY recommend Peach on a leash!! We have 2 mini golden doodle puppies, Nellie and Rosie. Amelia is our trainer and she is AMAZING! Every week, we look forward to her coming to the house and working with us! Having 2 puppies is a lot and Amelia has helped us to get our puppies socialized, trained and happy!! In addition to that, she provides SO much important information(with links attached!) that makes getting the best treats, equipment, toys, information etc so easy and FUN! We HIGHLY recommend peach on a leash. Our puppy Oaken is 6 months and we have completed the puppy class 101 and the family dog 101 class along with 6 sessions of private training with Jackie. Puppy 101 oaken learned valuable skills such as sit, down, stay, wait, and many more! In family dog 101 oaken learned proper leash walking which was one of the most valuable skills for any dog, along with some awesome tricks and more commands. We did private training with Jackie while doing both classes, which I highly recommend because anything your pup struggles with the private lessons allow more focused training. Private lessons allowed Jackie to teach impulse control which is one of the best things we could have learned with our very social puppy. I can’t recommend them enough! We do the in house training and it has been and wonderful experience so far. They have amazing training techniques, all are working very well. We had a puppy who could not go potty outside and now she is, and is learning new commands every training visit. Amelia Cosmas is our trainer and she is superb, she makes you feel very comfortable and has lots of great information not just with training but with other things like socializing, enrichment and day to day puppy and dog care. I would highly recommend Peach on a Leash and Jackie Audette! I felt so comfortable having my Springer Spaniel at Jackie's house, and she kept me very involved with updates and progress reports. Usually an in home training program would make me uneasy, but the process from start to finish was very comfortable and Jackie was reassuring to me as a somewhat helicopter dog mom. As for the training, my dog came back with impeccable manners and her demeanor was very respectful. I am so happy that I was told about Peach on a Leash before getting my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog puppy, Bennett! I was on the fence about going to puppy school, as I have had dogs all of my life, but was steered towards Peach on the Leash. I am SO grateful that I decided to go. We had such a fantastic experience working with Julia and Jackie!!! I learned just as much as Bennett! We got so much out of each class -- it was more than worth it. After each lesson, Julia would send out a follow up email with the "homework" of each thing that we learned and a reminder of the steps to do it. This was so helpful when continuing to work on training at home. We adopted a very spunky yet timid girl from the Cherokee county animal shelter. Molly is such a sweet girl but we became desperate for help. I called Peach on a Leash along with several other training places but Alex said all the right things and was very reasonably priced. Within a week we met Amelia and she has been sent to us from heaven. Amelia is very patient and her knowledge is incredible. Molly and I really look forward to when Amelia comes out. Alex and Peach on a Leash are amazing! We have two sibling mixed breeds and Alex worked miracles with them – she treated them each individually while reading their different personalities and implementing the best strategies for each. Her knowledge of dog behavior is in depth and impressive. They are such good dogs now (and were a little nutty when she started)!! Alex’s quiet, patient demeanor leads to successful training and good, happy, adjusted dogs. Not only did she work on the basics, like coming when called and walking on a leash, but also what they each needed individually. Amelia did a great job with our 5-6 month old puppy! With the 6 at home classes, Joplin learned sit, down, place, stay, drop, leave it, touch and a lot of self confidence. Amelia also came up with a number of training aids that really worked Joplin’s brain. We cannot say enough great things about Peach on A Leash! We adopted our golden doodle at 9 months old and quickly discovered a few concerning behaviors. We were recommended Peach on A Leash and set up and in-home training session with Hallie the next week. She immediately put us to ease with her knowledge and training. We went though 5 weeks of training sessions, but what we received was so much more than that! Thank you to Jackie, our trainer for Lilly, our new puppy. She did a wonderful job! She always asked us what our needs were first then tailored the training session around what we wanted to work on while guiding us through the areas that needed to be covered. She was professional and very hands on while allowing us to participate actively as well. She was patient and explained the steps to take for each new task we were teaching our dog. My only suggestion/recommendation is to have maybe a 30 min consultation only for the first session and then an hour training as the time we took talking about our goals, etc ate up most of our first session. Otherwise, we really like the style of training with praise and treats vs the other companies we researched with shock collars. I knew instantly they were the right choice for us. Our local vet also recommended them so we had an added level of comfort. Now Lilly has a great training foundation and we are armed with the tools necessary to continue teaching her! Amazing! Couldn't recommend any more! I had a puppy and a 5 year old small terrier and now both dogs listen to me, know each command, walk better on the leash, and are so much more of a pleasure to have. I worked with Jackie Audette and I couldn't recommend her any more. She is amazing at what she does.
