Tori was great with my dog Lilah. Lilah tends to get nervous and react in an unfriendly way. Tori helped me know what I need to do in those situations and how to handle them. We took our recently adopted 8 month old Airedale to Tori. This was our third Airedale but our first one that was a puppy. In the past we worked with another trainer. After 4 days with Tori he was like another dog, her initial training was spot on for our dog’s specific needs. The day after we picked him up, my wife was able to take him to a parade and later that night we took him to a live concert/festival in our neighborhood. Several people came up with their little kids and said, “I wish our dog was that well behaved.” Her follow-up methodology and the resources from the FB group have been very helpful in holding us accountable for how we handle our dog. I highly recommend Pawlished to anyone seeking dog training. Tori is an excellent trainer, and working with her was money well spent. In fact her pricing is much more reasonable than other programs I found while researching. I adopted a 5yr old hound mix and while we don't know much about her history, it was clear that she had never been on a leash. She also had a great deal of anxiety around other dogs. I enrolled Maddie in a residency program and followed up with group classes. I came to Pawlished at the end of my rope and questioning my decision to adopt Maddie. Thanks to Tori, Maddie and I became much closer. I feel more confident as a handler, and Maddie can now be around other dogs with proper introductions. Tori and Albus are the best! She has trained both of my dogs so that we can confidently walk down the street tandem with purpose going in the same direction. Her balanced approach to training allows for your dogs to clearly know when they are demonstrating good dog behavior and she shows you how to appropriately correct less desirable behavior. I appreciate the many different training programs and options she provides from individual follow-up classes to help you hone your skills to group class to practice with varying levels of distractions for you and your dog. Making the decision to enroll our our 8 mo. old German Shepherd puppy in Tori’s 4 day resident program last fall was one of the best investments we’ve ever made! Our pup was out of control & getting too big for us to handle. She was pulling me so hard on walks that I had developed a case of tennis elbow. Since finishing that training, we continue to do group classes on Saturdays where our dog continues to learn, but more importantly so do my husband & I. Tori is an amazing trainer! Our dog, Marley, recently attended the residency program at Pawlished. I have been struggling with implementing some of the training techniques and Tori has been nothing but helpful and supportive. She was always available to stay as long as we needed at our follow up lessons to ensure all our questions were answered. Even pointing out Marley's certain behaviors and what they meant to our young girls so they knew how to properly interact with her. Tori trained our dog Luna through the nice dog residency program last year. We loved getting daily updates (along with pictures! ) of her progress. Her transformation was amazing! We have received numerous compliments about how well mannered she is.Unlike most trainers, Tori is not done with your dog after you complete one of her programs. She is quick to respond to texts, emails, and fb posts. She constantly shares new training techniques in the private fb group for the parents of dogs who completed one of her programs. She also has weekly group lessons for dogs who completed one of her programs, which are tailored to the dogs/owners in attendance. We highly recommend Tori to anyone who not only wants to improve their dog’s behavior, but actually understand their dog’s behavior. Tori is nothing short of a miracle worker. She helped us learn how to be good owners to our sweet, crazy puppy. She’s also the first person that our puppy was able to trust outside of our immediate family. My favorite part is that the relationship isn’t over after you finish your training package. In a massive fit of desperation with high energy pup that we were contemplating returning to the breeder, we were given Tori's name. ..and our lives changed. Jasper is still a high energy pup but thankfully we now know the proper way to handle/correct/redirect that energy. WIthout Tori, Albus and Justine (at Saturday classes) I truly believe we would have not been blessed with this crazy boy who feeds our lives so much. We are so grateful for Pawlished and Tori! Her residency program absolutely transformed our 5 year old Weimaraner (crazy breed) rescue, Molly! I wasn’t even able to walk Molly myself because she would pull on the leash so hard.. she now perfectly heels at my side, auto sits and much much more than we ever could have imagined to get out of a rescue pup with an unknown past! Tori has also been so helpful in making recommendations and educating her clients (we’re part of her community on Facebook) on good food options and tips and tricks beyond what her trainings included (for free!). Tori and Pawlished are the absolute BEST! We have been clients for two years and I recommend this place to everyone I meet with a dog. Our dog has completed the 4 day residency program, private lessons, and many group classes over the past two years. Before training with Tori, our dog lunged, growled, and barked on leash at everything and everyone. My husband and I couldn’t even walk her without getting frustrated and embarrassed. Now, we walk her and she ignores all people and dogs and constantly gets compliments from other owners about how well behaved she is!! Tori tailors training to each individual dog and truly cares about each dog she works with. Training with Tori has transformed our lives and our relationship with our dog, and I am not exaggerating. We started with a crazy no-manners rescue who nearly pulled our arms out of their sockets and turned my legs purple the first week we had him (his idea of playing) and made us seriously question whether we could handle him. We did 5 private lessons with Tori and now we have a dog who knows and respects the word no, lays down and stays put on command at restaurants and bars, walks and runs at heel (no joke, this started after about 2 weeks of training and we could hardly believe it), and is generally a much calmer, happier dog. He has spent weekends with toddlers and young children and passed with flying colors - we would not even have DREAMED of trying that before we trained at Pawlished. We continue our training with group classes on Saturdays and I look forward to them all week. Tori is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive and we cannot recommend her enough. Tori and her team at Pawlished have made an incredible impact on my relationship with my dog. When I originally was looking for training I had three unrelated people point me in the direction of Pawlished. They had all spoken of incredible transformations in their dog's behavior and after experiencing it myself I can confirm. Tori and her team took my leash pulling 70 lb. Pit mix and turned him into a delight to walk. And it only took 4 days. I can/do/will/have recommend Pawlished to anyone looking for training. They quite literally saved the relationship me and my dog. They clearly love what they do and it shows. Tori and Albus are wonderful! I rescued a dog from the SPCA in July 2016. She was incredibly dog aggressive and people aggressive. With Tori's help we have learned how to redirect her attention. We also come to group class religiously to show Sadie dogs and people are nothing to be fearful and aggressive of. Sadie went from a muzzled dog in a corner with no friends to a smiling dog that has over 25 doggy friends! Thanks so much again! We have had a fantastic experience with Pawlished and Tori. We found out about Tori through SAAP where we adopted our dog, Diojee. He was 1 when we adopted him and weighs 85 pounds. He could just about tug me down the street, stairs, basically anywhere he wanted to go. We reached out to Tori right away to get an evaluation and she helped us understand what the best program would be for him. Now (2 years later) Diojee is truly a different dog and much less anxious due to his confidence that Tori taught him. The best part is that your relationship with Tori doesn’t end after you leave the training program... there are weekend group classes to practice the skills which is a great resource to have. We have only gone to 3 in the past 2 years, but every time we go it is very helpful and teaches us a ton as owners. Tori is amazing! We did private lessons with her for our rescue dog and it has been the most incredible experience. We now have a dog who is calm, happy and knows what is expected of him. We have been able to take him on road trips and visiting friends with young children without a single worry because we know he will listen to us. Walks, which used to be a complete nightmare full of pulling and barking like a madman at other dogs, are now peaceful and predictable and something we look forward to. Tori is an amazing trainer and worth every cent! I’ve worked with dogs for almost 20yrs and worked with several trainers and they don’t come close to Tori’s expertise. What I appreciate the most about Tori is how she explains the dog’s behavior to you, teaches the appropriate training technique and explains why you are doing that technique. Not only did this help me retain the information better and enabled me to communicate to others that encounter my dog but it really allowed me to bond more with dog and in return I feel in love with him more than ever. I chose to do the residency program which was worrisome for me at first but Tori was great at making me feel comfortable while my fur baby way away and when we came back for a follow up and my puppy ran to great her it assured me that she took amazing care of my baby.
