Q&As

Clean and simple design with up to date coding is the first step to a great website. Your website must be built responsively so that content displays perfectly on all devices from desktop monitors to tablets and smart phones. Good content is also key. Your content needs to be informative but to the point and include as any specific keywords related to your business and page title as possible.
Once you have a website it needs to get found so investing in SEO is also recommended to direct your target audience to your site.
Lastly, just like a car your website will only continue to work for you if you keep it regularly serviced and updated.

As well as the specifics and specification about the particular project, as a designer it is also extremely useful to find out the following information so that we can tailor designs specifically to you and your business:
What styles that you have seen do you like and don't like?
What is the problem you are trying to solve?
What are the goals you wish to accomplish with this project?
What type of budget do you have planned for this project?
Who is your target audience?

As well as a detailed brief, the client will need to provide:
- All text content or at least an idea of the information to be added as we can always enlist a copywriter to write engaging content for you.
- Any current brand information ie logo, brand fonts & colours
- Any specific imagery or ideas on imagery as we can source photography or images if required.

We have experience in print managing all types of print projects from Business cards to brochures, Posters to vehicle Graphics. What ever the requirement we will make sure we find the right local print partner for you.

From initial brief and conversations with the client we will do a competitor analysis to find out what your competitors are upto and how we can make you stand out in your market place. We then start by sketching or brainstorming some ideas before we start artworking up some concept designs. These concepts designs are then shown to the client for review and the client is able to make comments and suggest any tweaks to the designs before the final artwork is created and delivered. The client is kept informed of progress throughout the process.

See questions to ask a client when starting a project.

Each job has its own unique challenges and problems to solve. One day we can be working on a new website for a retail client working out how to maximise their sales and the next day creating a new brand for a brand new start up SME that will help them hit the ground running.

Having previously worked for big design agencies I grew increasingly frustrated that clients had to deal with 2 or 3 different people - usually account handlers that would act as the go between from client to designer. As a designer I felt I should be able to deal face to face with the clients to not only get the brief but also get to know them and their personality so that I could successfully incorporate this into their projects. I started PAW Design so that clients have a 1 to 1 relationship with the designer and get a better service and final outcome as a result.

Choosing a designer is not easy, there are loads of us out there. We get to know our clients and work with them, not for them. Whether your after a one off project or ongoing work we put every effort in to keep our clients happy. That's why most of our clients come back again and again and recommend us to their friends and colleagues.
