My Husband and I were looking for a photographer who was able to celebrate the beauty of place, particularly those from the natural world, but also able to have a great eye for capturing a candid moment, with a bit of humor thrown in. When we stumbled upon Paul’s work, we knew we had found just that. We also were assured by his slick operation, confirming he was not only an Artist, but one who has a head for organisation too – jackpot. We met Paul for a quick recce on Studland Beach. Instantly Paul put us both at ease quickly knowing we were feeling quite out of our comfort zone… the decision to dress up more than our normal beach attire did not help this! (think Londoners lost in the country – d’oh). We soon relaxed in and within 15 minutes of meeting Paul, we had a big smile and lots of beautiful shots; taking any concern about the wedding day photos away immediately. The wedding day arrives; it’s fast and the last thing you need is someone who is uncomfortable with “just going with it” or a stickler for time and formalities. This is why Paul is perfect for a wedding where the couple wants a journalistic approach to their photos, which isn’t too rigid or posed. Paul really captures a day with all its nuances, rather than a static tick list approach – so although we got some lovely formal shots, we also have a full documentary of the day, capturing so many candid shots both charming and comical, which after the whole event is over – really feel like we have kept some part of the magic of it all alive and we will continue to enjoy them forever. Finally, Paul has been more than accommodating with our slightly delayed responses and worked very well with the, for want of a better word, “ other suppliers” on the wedding day – which is an important point, as you do “vibe” off your immediate “tribe” on the day. On our trip to the UK from Canada this March I chose to work with Paul to document our surprise engagement. From the moment we first had contact with Paul we knew he would be perfect photographer for our big day. We had researched his work online and after seeing his Instagram and website pictures, we completely fell in love with his natural style of photography and ability to capture the beauty in a moment. On the day of our wedding, he even showed up earlier than planned so that he could snap some getting ready photos which turned out to be some of our favourite pictures from the day!Its hard to put in to words how blown away we were by his work on our big day. There were so many incredible and special moments that he managed to capture so perfectly, and so naturally, which is just what we were looking for.We lost count of all the guests who commented on how amazing he was. When it comes to wedding photography, there's a whole lot of average, and it's easy to make the wrong choice. With Paul we very quickly realised that his work was head and shoulders above anything we'd seen before. We drooled over his portfolio and hoped that we'd get something even half as good as the other weddings! We weren't disappointed at all - the shots we got back were insanely good!! Paul has a rare talent that manages to make family photos look like pieces of artwork! He knew exactly what he was doing with backgrounds and light and the end results absolutely blew us away. We couldn't believe it was actually us in the photos! Paul himself felt like we'd met up with an old friend, he has a great sense of humour and made us feel like we were stars, directing enough to get the perfect photo whilst not saying too much! Paul was our wedding photographer last month and hiring him was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made. We met him a couple of weeks before the big day for a test shoot which really helped to relax us on the day itself and get us used to being photographed. His style was non-intrusive which allowed him to capture some superb photos of both of us and all our guests. We had the absolute pleasure of having Paul as the photographer for our wedding this July. After hearing so many positive reviews and falling in love with his style of photo-taking, we knew that Paul would capture everything that we wanted on our special day.

From the initial conversation and when we first met for our pre-wedding shoot, Paul was charming, friendly and professional, and made us feel at complete ease. He knew exactly the right angle, and we loved how he often chose to capture the 'natural moments,' which we have always loved.

On our special day, Paul was an absolute star and a massive support to us. He worked effortlessly with the videographers and our guests, to take stunning photos that we frequently look back on, bringing back so many wonderful memories. Paul is an expert at capturing moments at just the right time, and he was extremely calming and helpful- he had even asked and therefore knew the exit door code so that we could get to the beach promptly without any delay.

After searching tirelessly for a wedding photographer we finally found what we were looking for in Paul Underhill. His work stood out by a mile and I knew instantly that we had to hire him!

All our memories from the wedding day have been captured perfectly from start to finish. Pauls unique style, use of light and gorgeous tones make our wedding look like a beautifully shot movie in which all our guests feature as glamorous Hollywood stars.

We felt that Paul really made the effort to get to know us and ensured that the photos of our wedding reflected our personalities which offered a really nice personal touch.

I asked Paul to take some 'lifestyle' profile pictures of me down at the beach. I needed photos that were relaxed but also professional looking and suitable for use in the press. He was friendly and easy to deal with in the lead up to the booking, and at the shoot itself, immediately put me at my ease. He carefully listened to what I was trying to achieve and applied his professional knowlege and skills to make sure we achieved the results I was looking for. He also made sure that I had lots of photos to choose from, recognising that people's favourite shots of themselves can be quite subjective!

It is so hard to find a photographer that can excel in poor lighting conditions. The drizzling, the winter sky of England was far from optimal, and the lighting in the restaurant was really dim. We appreciated your journalistic style of photography, it is so hard to get it right when there are 2 guys, you do not want to overcook the cheese. Thank god that did not happen. you have managed to strike a delicate balance.

Paul was absolutely brilliant! He captured the spirit of our London wedding and the venues so well. He has a wonderful eye for light, and his framing of the shots is fabulous. He produced some particularly impressive night time shots outdoors, which must have required split second reactions. Paul is amazing. Firstly, leading up to our wedding communication was efficient and prompt. It might seem like an insignificant thing but when you're working with multiple suppliers having quick sensible answers to questions is very helpful. During the wedding, well what can I say. Paul was energetic, confident and a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of the day itself. He had no issue pulling us to one side to get shots when he could see light conditions were at their best. We both really enjoyed his company and it was a pleasure to have him around. We know many of our guests felt the same way.We've just received our photos and firstly we've got a huge amount which is brilliant, but also the quality of them is stunning.
