I've lived in the area for several years, but would always hold out until I was visiting my parents to go for a haircut and color with my beloved stylist that I've been seeing for over 10 years. I finally decided that I needed to give someone local a try, and went to see Paul for a single process color and cut. He really listened to what I wanted, and even asked what kind of blow dry I wanted (smooth and sleek - he nailed it!) and gave me tips on how to style it at home. I'll definitely be back! More...

I have very difficult hair (varying textures and lots of cowlicks), and Paul gave me what is quite possibly the best haircut I've had since I started wearing it short! He is truly talented and confident with the scissors. He also worked with me on a color scheme and gave me a slight adjustment when I wasn't totally happy with how the original color ended up looking with my skin tone. Paul was amazing ! He really took his time with my curls. Super nice customer service. It's so hard finding a great salon that doesn't mess up your curls are completely damages it. Paul really understood what I wanted and how to care for my hair. From beginning to end it was a great experience. I have been a client of Paul Michael off and on since 2004. I'm not entirely sure why I have even ventured away from time to time. It's probably because I work in a area where there are many "upscale" salons, and I end up trying different salons out. However, at the end of the day, I always end up back with Paul. Not once have I ever left without having a great color and cut. Also, he has corrected numerous color disasters when I have gone to other stylists. He's such a nice guy that he never once has scolded me for straying away. Paul is very skilled, and I would have to say that he is "the best ever"!!! I am a client for life!!! More...

Gotta love Paul! Hes been cutting my hair for years now and I would not change him for any other hair stylist! He cuts exactly the way you want it! If you want a centimeter off he will only cut a centimeter.. even then still leaves your hair feeling super healthy and new again! He knows exactly what you want and how to do it! Just go my hair colored and trimmed by Paul last week.  I was feeling under the weather and wasn't my usual cheery self but his work was fantabulous. Super nice guy, not too chatty my favorite. haha  I've been looking for a hairdresser for over a year and now will look no more.  I have red hair and not everyone can color red hair. My color was on point when I left.  I really like the intimate setting of his salon.  I really wish I could remember the lady's name who washed and applied the color to my hair.  She was very sweet as well.  I will definitely be coming back! Patient,perfecting, and professional. Paul collaborated with me on what would be best for my brassy long hair. All i can say is transformative. I visited recently for a trim, deep conditioning, and color.  I called ahead for an appointment although walk-ins are welcome.  This is an open, clean, and relaxed location.  I have had several different folks assist me and each has been nice and done a good job.We all have things we are self-conscious about -- for me it is the scars and indentations on my head resulting from a couple of brain surgeries.  I think one of the reasons I like this place is I don't feel like a spectacle when I am serviced here.  I know it is unusual but really it just means I need you to aware of the wholes and scars and my heat and pressure sensitivity in those spots.  They seem to get that and that matters to me.   Well, that and the fact that I like how my hair looks after I visit.  Everyone I have worked with here listens to my requests and is interested in giving me a hair style I like and that works well for me.  Feeling comfortable and leaving (& staying) satisfied makes me a fan!The thing to know and my biggest issue is I ALWAYS miss the turn and have to maneuver my way back to this hidden little strip mall that is set back from the road and obstructed by a couple of stand alone spots near by.  Perhaps eventually I will catch the turn on my first passing... hope springs eternal. Thank you, Deana! I was starting to feel "blah" and needed an updated haircut after about a year and a half of growing it out. I searched on Yelp looking for someone who per pictures/reviews really knew how to do highlights on dark hair and who kept up with hair trends... and Yelp pointed me to Deana. I callee on a Tuesday and was able to get an appointment that Saturday. I took some pictures of haircuts and ombre highlights to Deana to give her an idea of what I thought I wanted, but ultimately left it to her discretion to do what she thought was best to give me an updated style that fit my face, lifestyle, etc. She was spot on and I couldn't be happier. I am very particular about my hair, so finding a good sylist can be frustrating and time consuming.  Safia gave me one of my best haircuts to date!  I just moved into the area so I did a quick search for nearby salons and this one had great reviews, so I decided to give it a shot - I'm sure glad I did!  Everyone was really friendly, Safia took the time to evaluate how my hair was cut previously, listened to what I was looking for, and then executed slowly to make sure I was happy along the way (unlike some that just chop and say "now we know better for next time").  Prices were also very reasonable.  I would highly recommend Paul Michaels and I look forward to many more great haircuts in the future! Luv paul michael salon !!   I moved here a few yrs ago and after a bad hair color job from a big name salon ,,paul fixed it and then managed to make it beautiful when i left  hour after closing salon he stayed blow dryed it out to perfection. . ive been with him since ! I first tried this salon awhile back because of a promotion they were running on Groupon or Living Social.  I was lucky enough to get Deana as my stylist.  She was warm and attentive without being fake or too chatty. I liked my haircut, but since the salon is kind of far away and I thought it would be a lot more expensive without the deal, it took me a long time (and several unhappy haircut experiences) before I went back and asked for Deana again.  Once again she did a great job, was friendly and asked a lot of questions to make sure she wasn't cutting too much etc.  It was worth the trip out there, the price was pretty reasonable and I will go back now every chance I get.
