The folks at Paul Michael Design were a pleasure to work with. We had them design and forge a wedding band to fit around my unique marquee engagement ring. They did a great job with the design and even let me pour my own white gold into the mold. My husband was allowed to hammer his own gold ring to achieve the look he wanted. These guys do awesome work, literally whatever you can dream up exactly the way you want it. They have made two pieces for me now, and each time they worked with me to perfect the design over several emails and in person consultations. Not only that, but they also care about the pieces they create, and about taking care of their customers. They were lovely and accommodating from the very beginning. We went to them with the briefest idea of what we wanted and they expanded it and brought it to life making my girls ring so much more beautiful than I could ever imagine! Anytime I want something custom, Paul is the one I go to see. He and his staff have created 2 custom rings for me so far and another one is currently in the works. Paul and his staff have amazing creativity. I absolutely LOVE the latest ring he created for me. I sent him a picture of a ring I liked but wanted modified to accommodate the gemstones I already had. I went to visit him at the shop and within an hour he had drawn out exactly what I was looking for. 2 weeks later and I have my dream ring! I LOVE my ring. . As a small business owner myself, I’m able to tell that I’m definitely a frustrating customer. My husband and I got the Han in Carbonite and the Alliance Engagement Ring (Which I’m using as my wedding band)- but wanted his grandmothers diamond put into it. Our order had some hiccups (largely from our families complicating it by demanding we not send the diamond in the mail because of all the stories they’ve read of diamond swapping). Finally after dealing with a bunch of dingus stores who couldn’t place the diamond into the Alliance ring once we had it in our possession- we ended up sending both rings back to Paul, who set it free of charge because he felt bad another store charged us to take the diamond out of his grandma’s ring without being able to put it into the Alliance ring. We should have just sent my husband’s grandma’s ring into Paul from the start like we wanted to. He did a perfect job. And they added beads into my ring which made it stop spinning inward because I have ridiculously small fingers and it’s top heavy. It feels and looks great now. I still think real photos should be added to the site because the Han ring isn’t quite how it’s illustrated- but we love it nevertheless so I’m still giving 5 stars. . I love getting to look at this ring every day while running my own geeky company. I was worried I’d have to take it off while sewing and would lose it but it’s very comfortable. I can’t wait to show all of my customers it in a couple weeks at DragonCon. It’s so subtly nerdy and brilliantly beautiful at the same time, because the rebel symbol isn’t immediately obvious. I’m so excited to finally own one of these pieces! Also, his assistant Charity is the sweetest. . TL;DR- Trustworthy company, gorgeous ring. Buy it. More...

He took our ideas and molded them into reality. .. he made what i was dreading into a fun, creative experience! He was super flexible as far as making himself available for questions and concerns and the drafting/design process... a consummate professional and artist! Paul's design are on the cutting edge of fit, function and aesthetics. I made an account just to do a review because Paul's work is so worth it. My fiance and I are huge Star Wars nerds and we wanted to have my engagement ring reflect that if possible. I searched online and found myself at Paul's site eagerly looking at the R2-D2 custom rings. I usually don't like writing reviews because, well, I'm a little lazy, but I'm making an exception here. Hands down, the BEST customer service experience I have ever had. I found them online and placed my order, and it came WAY faster than I was expecting (yay!). Amazing quality! I had a slight issue with the size of the product, which was really totally on me, because I should have asked questions before ordering. I reached out, and they were super responsive, friendly,  and completely willing to help. They had me send the item back, and then they sent me the item exactly as my little heart desired!
