We very highly recommend Paul.He helped us extend our home in Enfield. He listened carefully to our own ideas and then offered his own amazing options. He didn't rush us but helped make the job move along quickly. We loved his final designs for both the inside and outside of our home. The new kitchen extension with dining area and sitting area around an wood-burning stove is now the heart of our home.He came up with a number of ideas that we'd not thought of. In some ways it is the little things that make the house work so well. Like the utility room and the wc that he was able to fit into the plan.We now can't imagine our earlier home as the new arrangement just feels right and works for our hectic family life. More...

Paul designed & managed the renovation of our 3-bed flat in Maida Vale. The process was seamless, from drawing up the plans on initial briefingto managing the work by the builder & gaining building control approval. Paul has an inspired eye for modern design but also very mindful of thepracticalities involve in bringing them to life - he achieved a number ofcontemporary design features within the property that had otherwisebeen considered too challenging by other designers.Paul ensured all building work was completed to the highest standard &was regularly on site to guide the trades to deliver a perfect job.I would highly recommend Paul Lonergan Architects, and Paul, to anyoneembarking on a renovation project - the earlier you get him on board thebetter! We contacted Paul after we had been through two failed planning applications and 1 failed planning appeal. We have a tricky plot with 7 properties surrounding us and some tricky neighbours. Add into the mix our house was deemed a ‘Non-Designated Historical Asset’ and that we wanted to pretty much double the size of it, we didn’t exactly present an straight forward extension.Paul was fantastic, he listened to all our requests, everything from ‘hearing the rain’ through to creating a ‘coffee corner’. We were completely blown away with the choice of design Paul presented. He has helped us through both the design and the practicalities of getting through planning. On his first attempt, we had planning permission granted and have ended up with a much better design than we could have imagined.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul and his practice to anyone, I just wish we had found him sooner! We contacted Paul Lonergan when we decided to convert our loft, and re-model our kitchen/utility area.We discussed ideas, and Paul was both open to our ideas and had a lot of his own great suggestions on how to best use the space. He showed us sketches and then once we decided what to go for he prepared full drawings and spec lists. Then Paul applied for planning and organised everything with building control throughout the job.Throughout the build process Paul made periodic visits to ensure that things were progressing to plan.We would not hesitate to recommend Paul. Q&As

Working with clients face to face to help them achieve, or surpass, the outcome they want.

I have worked in architecture for over 25 years. I began my own business over 10-years ago so that I could follow my own path and work more directly with clients.

My practice is committed to listening to clients and providing tailor made solutions. This does not necessarily mean spending more on design fees or on the construction. It means that you will meet an architect that will listen to your unique needs. We then produce designs that maximise your potential and the potential of your building or land.
Of course you can just employ someone that will produce a quick, standard, ready made design. However, this is your project. You and your property are unique and you deserve a tailor made solution.
