Paul is seriously the absolute best! I have used him for multiple photo shoots and every time I get the pictures back I am in awe. The first time I used him, I noticed an attention to detail that is come so unmatched with other photographers. He notices when your hair is out of place or if your strap on your dress isn't adjusted correctly and I knew that this was the person that I wanted photographing my wedding. Our wedding photos came out so phenomenally that we were featured in several bridal magazine and blogs. When I look back at the photos, I really felt like the photos deserved to be featured in high fashion magazines. Even 4 years after my wedding, I still have people finding my wedding photos online and complimenting how amazing the photos were. They are absolutely stunning and would not change anything about them. Obviously when I got pregnant and wanted to do a maternity shoot, I knew I would call Paul. He went above and beyond in recommending locations and even getting in the water at the beach to get the photos that I wanted. I don't know of anyone else that would literally get drenched wet for a simple photoshoot for a client! He is absolutely amazing and will give you so many photos to choose from. We've used Paul for multiple different occasions (wedding, maternity shoot and big family shoot) and milestones and every time we are blown away with our photos. He is seriously the best that we've worked with and we've tried a few other photographers before. He is super easy to work with and always has a vision that he executes perfectly. We trust him entirely whenever we shoot with him and know we won't be disappointed. For our wedding specifically, photography was especially important to us and the quality of the photos was unlike anyone else's when we were doing out research for the right photographer. He's great with the lighting set up too as we had an evening wedding and he made the most of the venue even though it was dark outside, the pictures came out beautiful. He also caught a ton of moments we didn't even he was there for that were super sweet and our favorites to look back on. When we did family photos, he was great at arranging everyone (there are 18 of us with little ones) and placing everyone in the right spot for awesome large group shots. When we did out maternity shoot, we told him where we were thinking and he knew of the perfect cove in Ocean Beach to take us to that was absolutely perfect and private that we got some real cool shots at. Paul is a fabulous photographer. The images are spectacular. He has a wonderful eye for composition and is truly gifted in this medium. He is great at coaching people to get great shots without making you feel awkward or uncomfortable. He is perfectionistic in his work but is laid back in his interaction. He is very professional, reliable, and timely in his communications. He is as hands off or hands on as you need making him so easy to work with. I appreciate his being so reliable on his end but so flexible on ours. I have absolutely no complaints about Paul. He is so great we have made him our family photographer. He started taking pictures for our wedding, then my maternity shoot, and then for our kids. He is quickly becoming a member of the family. We absolutely loved working with Paul for our surprise wedding last month. We planned to throw an anniversary party and surprise our guests after about an hour with a wedding. Paul was instrumental in helping us coordinate the reveal and the surprise and joy of the day really comes through in the images he captured. Paul was amazing to work with he walked us through everything and was there for us every step of the way. We were so happy with our engagement photos and our wedding photos. I wished we had more time to be more creative with our photos but for the time we had our photos were perfect. Paul definitely has an eye for this line of work. Best decision I made was invest in my photographer! Paul and his wife were an awesome team and my pictures came out so great! My family also really enjoyed them and I was able to make a whole photobook just for my mother in law. The thing that actually sticks out the most is that not only did my pictures turn out beautifully but Paul actually stepped in to help my mom bussle my wedding dress before my first dance. I was so fortunate to have found Paul Douda to photograph an event of the San Diego Association of Bridal Consultants. I had met him and seen his work on his website that was amazing. At our event he captured the feel of the event with lots of wonderful candids that showed the interaction and, he seemed magically, to get everyone's good side. When you are searching for a wedding photographer, typically the first thing you look for is quality. When it comes to documenting one of the biggest days of your life, you absolutely do not want to gamble with the quality of the images you will have to document that day. The next attribute you likely look for is cost. Most couples have a fairly strict budget to adhere to and cost is a significant factor when it comes to choosing a vendor. Paul meets (and exceeds!) the mark in regards to quality and he offers a number of packages to fit a variety of needs and budgets. We attended a wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle. The wedding was beautiful with the Castles grounds giving it a magical feel. The food was perfect !! The pictures hanging in the hallway, were so interesting to see the original castle. It is still very original & beautiful. The unique rock stairs are a problem. Two ladies fell. We booked Paul for our first family photos after he shot amazing photos of my sisters wedding and my brothers wedding! This was a huge family of 10 and he was beyond great. Because my siblings and I live far apart from each other, we were only together on one day and that was the Saturday after thanksgiving. Paul made it easy and convenient for us to book that exact day with a time and location of our choice! He arrived early to the location and secured the best spot for us since it was a popular photography destination. He made sure to get multiple creative shots of our individual families and worked great with my 2 kids (5 months and 4 years). We felt very comfortable and didn’t feel rushed.
