Fabulous! The photos are just stunning. Paul really has an eye for placement and lighting and all that amazing stuff that great photographers do. You will be very happy hiring Paul, I promise you. :)

Not only is he skilled, but he really goes the extra mile. We got married at a river and to our surprise, Paul spontaneously and swiftly waded out into thigh-deep water to get the best shots! He's an avid nature lover himself, intimately acquainted with nature in all her mutable power and beauty. Therein lies the art form: working with the elements and creating something extraordinary.

Overall, Paul was very accommodating and personable throughout the process of nailing down this epic event. Honesty and dependability are qualities I value in any business transaction, and he's got 'em. Oh, and he also snuck in a few casual humorous shots that were really fun. It's too easy to get serious about big things like weddings, right? Relax and let this guy work his photographic magic for you!

If you are considering Paul Miller to photograph your event, I cannot recommend him highly enough. Paul is an absolute dream to work with. Not only are his photographs stunning, they beautifully capture the unique tone of each special occasion. His photographs are a stunning and are a beautiful encapsulation of the warm, joyous tone of our wedding. His calm, upbeat, and professional demeanor made him an invaluable personality to have in our corner on what could otherwise have been a stressful event. Paul photographed my wedding, as well as my sister's. Both sets of (what seemed like hundreds) of photos are gorgeous, and unique to each particular event and personality. He was able to capture our separate, very different qualities and venues with ease. Her wedding was a beautiful northern california redwood forest wedding, and mine was at a bright spanish-style central california ranch. The lighting and location couldn't have been more different for each event, but Paul was beyond skillful enough to adapt to each venue and capture the distinctive beauty of each.  Again, Paul is an incredibly calm, low-key, yet highly professional and experienced personality to work with. More than once, my family and bridal party commented on how lovely, warm, and competent he is. I am extremely grateful to have had him photograph our event, and would jump at the chance to work with him again. I highly, highly recommend Paul to capture any important event. More...

When we were looking for a wedding photographer, we saw several online portfolios. Paul C. Miller's portfolio stood out above all the others. When we contacted him, he responded right away. When he met with us 2 weeks before the wedding, he got to know us, asked all the right questions, and then made several practical suggestions about ways to make our photos very personal. On the day of the wedding and after the ceremony, he was able effortlessly to gather our families for different group shots and also took some excellent portraits of just us as a couple. We were completely delighted when we saw the 150+ photos he delivered. He really captured us, the wedding, and our families. More...

I was fortunate to locate Paul through another service but I was so thrilled with his attention to detail, his artistic eye, and his availability to meet up and answer any questions we had about photographing our wedding.  Initially what captured my interest was his sense of bringing natural photos to life of his subjects.  He did this on our wedding photos and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality he provided.  He's a wonderful photographer and a very pleasant man.  He was very personable and prompt in his outreach from the very beginning.  Do yourself a favor and speak to him about your event.  You won't be sorry! Stunning photos and a pleasure to work with are the two phrases that come to mind when I think of Paul, but that does not even begin to describe how wonderful he is as a wedding photographer. We used Paul for both engagement photos in San Francisco, and our wedding photos at Trentadue winery in Healdsburg, CA. In both settings his photojournalist training and expertise created the most amazing shots. His calm, easygoing personality puts you at ease so that you are not focusing on the camera, but your loved one. Paul worked solo for our wedding, but was able to cover the entire event flawlessly. We are so happy with all of our wedding photos: preparation (for both bride and groom), first look, ceremony, wedding portraits, and candids of friends, family, and reception. He managed to catch all those perfect moments without us even noticing. We would highly recommend him to any of our friends. More...

Paul came recommended through our wedding venue, Vine Hill House.  He did a wonderful job with the photography.  The colors were rich and vibrant.  In this day and age of iphones, I was skeptical whether having a professional photographer was even necessary; however, his eye for good lighting and hi-res cameras definitely convinced me.  Looking through my photos, I can tell right away which ones were his and which were from friends and family.  His are much richer in color.  Communication was a snap.  I also liked that getting the photos was hassle-free.  Unlike some places which control the photos and charge you extra, we were able to download all our photos so that we can share with friends or create our own album.  Highly recommend him. We eloped to the redwoods near Guerneville in December 2015. With a humble wedding party of only 8, we had given up most of the traditional wedding luxuries, but as a photography enthusiast myself the one thing I was adamant on having was a quality photographer. We also needed someone flexible enough to roll with a nontraditional wedding. Paul was perfect.Between epic rain storms and being barred entry from the redwoods by over-zealous park rangers, we were not short of bumps in the road, but Paul's calm and helpful attitude helped keep the day magical. He suggested locations and poses based on his knowledge of the area, and his artistic eye meant that we got some truly stunning shots. Since most of our friends and family weren't present on the day itself, the photos have been a great resource to share and recreate the magic of our exchange of vows, and everyone loves them. Be it a large or intimate affair, you'd have a hard time finding better than Paul C. Miller. More...

Paul did a fantastic job photographing our wedding! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! Other photographers focused incessantly on their "photography packages" and detailed hourly rates. Paul never did that, he truly listened to what we wanted and showed us his amazing passion for his work. After I met with him, I didn't even bother interviewing other photographers because I knew that he was our photographer. My husband and I loved his candid, photo journalistic storytelling style. He went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding, which was on New Years Eve. It was a challenging day because we asked him to photograph at various locations throughout San Francisco. He literally photographed nonstop from morning till night. His stamina was amazing and he was sweet, kind, patient and wonderfully creative. I loved that he was constantly inspired by various scenes and created beautiful shots. For example, along the way to a location that we picked out, he saw a section of cityscape that he wanted to photograph us in. The result was stunning! This has become one of our favorite photographs, among many others. Paul is truly talented! We felt so comfortable working with him. He was amazing with my peppy puppy, rambunctious children, family members and my bridal group. His photos captured the emotions our wedding and the joy of our family and friends. Photography is the most important aspect of a wedding. If you want to be in good hands, Paul is the way to go.We were thrilled with the bonus sweet and thoughtful slide show that he created. He provided so many fantastic photos. We were incredibly lucky to have him as our photographer. Recently, we asked him to take maternity photos and we couldn't be happier. Paul came recommended to us from friends who had hired him to photograph their wedding.  After doing our due diligence and researching several other photographers, we decided to hire Paul after thoroughly checking out his website and finding out what he would charge - turns out that his price was very competitive, and the deal maker for us was that he would cover our entire event from start to finish (a 12 hour day) without charging any "overtime. "  Many other photographers we researched had a set number of hours that they would be onsite, and anything beyond 4 - 6 hours warranted an "overtime" charge.  Given that we were having a late afternoon wedding and wanted to take all of our photos before the wedding to save time, we knew we would need someone who could be there all day, and at an affordable price.  Paul is a wonderful guy with a warm, easygoing personality - as soon as we met him in person, we knew we had made the right choice.  He has been a photographer for magazines, shooting scenes in nature and such, in addition to doing weddings.  So his creativity and ability to capture moments without staging them was highly desirable to us.  Paul shot our engagement session out at Goat Rock Beach in Jenner, CA - those photos turned out beautifully.  He then shot our October 2012 outdoor wedding in Sonoma.  He fully utilized the venue property to capture the most beautiful, creative shots.  He didn't force us into purchasing a photo book or package of prints - just the digital files on a CD with the files hosted on a Pictage website.  He also put together a slide show reel of some of our best shots with some of our favorite music playing - it brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it!  Paul showed up bright and early on our wedding day in order to capture shots of us getting ready, and he stayed through the end of the last dance at the reception.  His professionalism is remarkable, but even more notable is his kind, gentle nature (he was never pushy!) and how he captures moments naturally.  We expressed early on a desire to have a lot of candid photos - we aren't into the staged look of most wedding photo shoots.  He executed exactly what we asked and put his heart and soul into it.  Our photos are absolutely incredible - we could not be happier with the result!  I can't even imagine how many more great shots we would have gotten had we decided to spring for a second shooter.  Paul's creative genius is obvious and evident in our photos - he showcased our venue beautifully in every single shot that he took.  We have found our photographer for life in Paul - we will use him for every significant event in our lives, for as long as he is available to photograph them.  In choosing Paul, you will have made an excellent choice - an investment in your wedding photos.  Thank you Paul, for everything - we could not be happier with our decision to hire you for our wedding! On our wedding day he floated around very naturally and never forced anything, only gathering us for formals at opportune times and basically just knowing how and when to get his shots throughout the day.  All of the "bedside manner" analysis aside, he captured our day better than I think we even expected.  The day goes by so quickly in the whirlwind of marrying the love of your life, having everyone you know and love in one place at one time, being pulled for photos and conversations (not to mention wedding schedule stuff) that before you know it you're on your way home.  At 9:45 my wife thought it was only 6:30!  My point is, thanks to Paul we can relive our wedding day at a slower pace.  We already cherish the photos, however I think their importance will only grow with age.  I can imagine being very old and appreciating the job Paul did in preserving a very special moment in our lives.Lastly, as my wife chimes in with her own analysis, Paul was there when we stepped off our limo bus at 11:15 am and he left when we left around 10:00 pm.  There really isn't a single thing more we could ask for from our wedding photographer.  Also, both sets of parents and all of our friends loved our photos.  There's something to be said about the fact that Paul takes photos that everyone can agree on.
