Inn at Woodstock Hill, particularly Kathy, were such a helpful and integral part of our wedding day. We had our wedding down the road at Roseland, but we used Inn at Woodstock for our guest lodging, rehearsal dinner, and bakery needs. Kathy was so lovely and so helpful throughout the whole past year--answering questions constantly and always offering solutions to our needs. The rooms (and cottage) were so lovely and guests were thrilled with their rural NE setting. The rehearsal dinner was delicious and a brilliant setting to gather our families before the next day. It really set the tone for the entire weekend. And, they baked a cake for us--which was just fantastic. It was gorgeous, exactly what we wanted, tasted incredible, and was a steal at the price! We can't say enough wonderful things about Inn at Woodstock Hill. More...

This historic inn, located on top of Paine Hill, is situated in a lovely area with rolling farmland, and consists of lovely grounds, an outdoor patio, plenty of parking, a common living room, and a delicious continental breakfast included in the price of the room. ||||Our checkin process was extremely efficient, where the desk clerk informed us that she had already sent me a receipt for our overnight stay, presented a key to our room, told us about the free continental breakfast the next morning, and asked us if we'd like help with getting our bags to the second floor (there's no elevator).||||We stayed in room 207, which is a queen-size bedroom with two chairs, a large-screen TV, desk, separate closet area, and bathroom with tub/shower combo. The room had an window A/C unit, which we were happy to see was still installed because it was quite warm over Columbus Day weekend.||||The only problem was the really soft mattress, which we're not used to, but other than that the room was great.||||We especially enjoyed the continental breakfast the next morning, which consisted of deviled and hard-boiled eggs, toast, delicious chocolate croissants, English muffins, Danish, yogurt, packages of oatmeal and cereal, assorted juices, a variety of cut-up fruits, tea, and the best decaf coffee I've ever tasted!||||We highly recommend this lovely inn, which is an easy ride from Massachusetts since Woodstock is only 10 minutes from the state line. We booked my one sister and her 80s husband in the cottage as he can not do steps and it was the perfect venue for all of us to gather in as there was a full kitchen, living room, deck and fire pit in the back yard. The Inn itself has a large elegant patio and living room area as well as large rooms with private baths. It has extensive acreage and it was fun seeing the vegetable gardens and other grounds. The grounds themselves are gorgeous with lots of flowers and landscaping. A minor discloser here as my three sisters and I are direct descendants of Lt. Henry Bowen one of the original founders of Woodstock in 1686. More...

For those who are wishing to escape the noise and fast-pace life of city living, I recommend visiting The inn at Woodstock Hill. Less than a 3-hour drive from New York City, and even closer from Boston and Providence, the historic Inn at Woodstock offers comfortable rooms, lovely dinners in a relaxed atmosphere, and beautiful outdoor grounds. ||||We stayed for three nights, and booked the "getaway package" which also included continental breakfast each morning, as well as one night where we had a delicious 4-course dinner. Our room was clean, comfortable, and oh, so quiet! We kept the windows open (screens on the windows, so no worries about bugs!) and I could not believe the sounds of silence. Just what we were looking for!||||The staff was professional and helped us with things such as scenic road options to Providence, RI, to museum and antique shop recommendations, to providing an extra bed pillow for our room. Kathy and Paula at the front desk were always smiling, and provided swift check-in and check-out. Pam, our server on our first afternoon, brought us refreshments on the outdoor patio, and Lacey served us our delectable 4-course meal on our 2nd evening. ||||Thank you to Katie, our chef, and Victor, assistant in the kitchen for taking care of us with farm-to-table, fresh ingredients, and to Marjorie in housekeeping for making sure all was neat and clean each day we returned from sightseeing.||||We look forward to returning again! we got married at the Inn last weekend and canNOT get over how easy and enjoyable our experience was. Kathy and the rest of the Inn staff simply went above and beyond to make sure every need was attended to.
we were happy to be able to negotiate our needs versus the listed costs, so don't be afraid to ask them questions! they were happy to discuss more options than are listed in their traditional wedding packages.
the biggest draws for us were that the Inn is STUNNING in itself so needed absolutely nothing to be a beautiful, picturesque place to get married (I am VERY not into details); we LOVED being able to have everything - rehearsal, lodging, ceremony, and reception - in one place to minimize coordinating and timing travel; the staff was exceptional, and was clearly there to please us from the get-go.

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Following the crowd’s lead; attention to age group; client’s song list.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Professional and organized, attentive to clients’ needs, event is about the client not me, very cooperative with all vendors.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and tailoring the music to their needs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I went into business with my dad 30 years ago due to our love of music.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am professional and not intrusive. My goal is to please my clients and their guests while adhering to regulations of the venues. I offer fair pricing with paid in full discount options and offer uplighting, as well. You won’t find a more professional DJ at my prices. I am very budget friendly and willing to work with clients in order to provide an event with class.
