Patrick Robinson Consulting is a company dedicated to helping small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) like yours attract and retain new customers.
This is vital when going up against larger competitors that have traditionally held an advantage over you.
We believe that you (David) can consistently beat a larger competing company (Goliath) if we arm you with superior strategy, tools and support. Our results continue to reinforce that belief.
Our approach to strategy is markedly different to our competitors. We don't subscribe to template, one-size fits all "strategies". In brief, our consultations explore 3 key aspects of any given project we will:
1/ Consult with you to fully define and diagnose the nature of your challenge.
2/ Agree on a guiding policy for overcoming your challenge.
3/ Design a coherent set of actions to help you implement the guiding policy.
From this point we will arm you with state of the art tools to implement and leverage your advantages. We will also monitor your key competitors. Knowing where your competition remains weak, will give you a huge and sustainable advantage.
We will follow this up with solid support to help you drive home your advantage and develop an unstoppable momentum.
Our Sales Funnel Optimization service will remove inefficiencies from your sales cycle.
Optimising your sales cycle is the master key to leaving your competitors in the dust. This can be the difference between continuing as a "me too" business, and becoming the dominant, "800 pound gorilla" in your niche!
Our services include:
• Customer Acquisition and Retention Strategy Consultation
• "Mobile-Friendly" Website Development
• Mobile App Development
• WordPress Website Security
• Website Content Delivery & Management
• Complete Social Media Management
• Online Reputation Management
• Website Penalty Recovery
• Sales Funnel Optimization
We believe our services are good enough not to need contract tie-ins.
In fact, we would not want to work with anyone not absolutely thrilled with us and the results we achieve.
We understand that we are in the results business.

What makes a great website?
In the context of websites for small and medium sized business owners, a great website is one that converts visitors into paying customers. No more, no less.
The clearer this concept is to the business owner, the greater the chance he/she will end up with a website that is an asset (making money) rather than just a work of art (read cash-draining expense).
Of course, that doesn't mean a business website should be ugly, or not user-friendly. On the contrary, a great business website will be easy on the eye, uncluttered, and easy to navigate.
The trap some business owners fall into is believing that the more beautiful the website looks, or the more 'bells & whistles' it has, the more it will convert. Almost invariably this leads to unnecessary elements being included which compete for the visitors' attention. Confusion is the enemy of conversion.
A good metaphor to keep in mind about your business website is that of the 'shop window'. Your website IS your digital shop window.
This is the backbone of your brand. Visitors looking in should recognise your brand INSTANTLY and be impressed by your attractive, well organised offerings.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Here are a few of the questions I might ask a new website design client:
1/ Will this be the first website for this business or is it a site re-design?
2/ What are your goals for the website (e.g. will it be just a virtual business card, one that just gathers leads, or a website that takes payments)?
3/ Roughly how many pages will it need?
4/ Do you have a preferred platform (e.g. WordPress)
5/ Will you need blog content?
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list :-).
What do you love most about your job?
The satisfaction that comes from keeping small and medium sized businesses afloat in an unsteady economy is hard to put into words.
But I'll try...
For a lot of smallish businesses, the difference between success and failure; paying the bills and not paying the bills; staying in business or closing down; often comes down to JUST A FEW EXTRA CUSTOMERS. It really is that simple.
As a Search Engine Optimisation Expert, recognised by Google*, I am in a position to direct Search Engine traffic towards businesses I choose to work with. For most of my clients, every new customer makes a noticeable difference to their month end sales figures. That makes me very popular with them very quickly :-).
Getting paid to make a real difference to local business owners (and their families) gives me the second best job satisfaction I've ever had.
If we work together and you're interested, I'll tell you the only job satisfaction that's ever trumped it!

What inspired you to start your own business?
Having seen the way some of the large 'phone directory' type companies sell worthless listings & services to hardworking business owners, I knew there was an opportunity to offer REAL value to these businesses.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I don't think I know it all!
That might sound strange coming from a Marketing Consultant trying to get your business, but it's true - and for good reason...
My success is built on my own Search Engine Marketing expertise. My record speaks for itself. However, it's great to also be part of a network of top notch SEO business partners from all over the world. We are a tight knit group that view each other as colleagues rather than competitors. It's another reason I love my job :-).
So, while I'm comfortable admitting that "I" don't know it all, I'm equally comfortable stating that there is not an SEO problem that "my network" cannot solve.
