Patricia was absolutely amazing and easy to work with for our wedding. All of our interviews with her were super easy and we immediately clicked - she asked a bunch of questions about what our relationship was like and how we were as people to help guide what she ended up doing with the photo shoot. As the day got closer, Patricia's motto might as well have been "give me as much or as little detail as you want, and we'll get it done." For things we were not sure about (shots we wanted or not or ideas) she was helpful and suggested ideas. For things we were specific about and knew we wanted, she executed perfectly. Planning timelines and locations with her was a breeze.On the day of the wedding - she had INCREDIBLE energy. Didn't stop moving the entire time, directed poses perfectly so we moved through pictures quickly. We got MULTIPLE comments from guests through the night that she was EVERYWHERE the entire wedding, clicking away.The proof is in the results - our pictures are amazing. And delivering them to us couldn't be easier - she was on time with everything uploaded to a website that was SO easy to use.Can't recommend her enough! More...

When we finally met to book Patricia as our wedding photographer, I took a liking to her immediately. She came with samples of her work and was willing to work with our budget.
On the wedding day, Patricia rocked! She was so friendly and warm. Her love of photography truly showed in shot selection and posing. She gathered everyone together for group shots with ease. We were very comfortable and happy which makes for great photos!
The wedding has passed and she sent the proofs of her favorite pictures so that we could get thank you cards out in a timely manner. Patricia went above and beyond to meet every request in editing the album. We were blown away by the final product. She did an excellent job on our wedding album. The same attentiveness on the wedding day was seen through the whole process. We truly appreciate it.

I gave Patricia an idea of a logo that I had in mind for my company which sells products she's never even heard of. After explaining to her what it is, she did her research and came back to me with a slew of logo ideas which I LOVED. We made a couple of adjustments and BOOM that was it. I am so proud of the logo that she made for my start up company and can't stop sharing it. Patricia photographed my daughter's bat mitzvah and she was totally wonderful. Her shots are beautiful, but she's also incredibly good with people. She gets people grouped for formal shots very gently, and everyone has fun. She can wander around a party and shoot pictures without ever interrupting. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I feel the most important part is having your client know they can trust you and that's accomplished by really listening to them and making sure they know you get them and their expectations of your session. Some people come to me not knowing at all what they want or should do and I think my forte is being extremely observant and putting people at ease so I can see their true self through the lens. Then it's helpful to have the best tools to make creating your image easier, but that's secondary.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always ask how they envision the end result. How they hope to display what we've made. Who the audience is. I try to get a sense of how comfortable they are so I know how much or little control they expect me to take in guiding the shoot. Then I make small talk asking about where/how they grew up, looks of nostalgia make for great results. If it's a stressful situation like a busy wedding, I just like to ask them how they are feeling, which makes them meditate on the moment for even just a second.
What do you love most about your job?
I guess what I love most is being so involved in the moments that are important enough to be recorded. Life is filled with plenty of hard moments so I love to watch people experience utter joy, even if just for a day. My personal nostalgia really shapes me and shapes how I view situations and most importantly makes me realize the significance of every fleeting interaction. If I can get a shot of a shared glance, a kid being tickled, or a person in church in deep reflection, then I've done my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Every photographer has their own perception and style. I tried working for different companies who wanted things just so without much room for creativity. I had several clients while freelancing tell me that I had a gift for capturing the moments or expressions they didn't even realize were happening around them. I made their memories of their day that much more vivid by photographing emotions and stories. If you are or work for a wedding factory and are shooting off of a checklist, then you don't have the time to pay close attention to these moments. I wanted to give these moments priority and that's how I present my body of work to potential clients. I will pose you and make sure you look beautiful, but in my experience, those will not be the photos you cherish.
Why should our clients choose you?
I genuinely care. I sincerely want each shot to be significant and affecting. I am a people pleaser almost to a fault at times. But this results in me giving however much time and attention are necessary to each project until it is perfect. I am easy going with an abundance of patience, and I also have the skill set to make stunning work in any setting. I am simply a hard worker and I believe it shows in my work.
