Parkhurst Tax Prep, Inc. offers a full spectrum of accounting needs, from "eyes only" hands off bookkeeping to 100% bookkeeping needs, including data entry, payroll, incorporation filing process, quarterly filings, and yearly filings to the IRS as well as employees and contractors.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Every business owner wants to save money, thus, the normal idea of small business owners is a "jack of all trades" mentality, tackling all the processes needed in order to maintain a business. But as the business grows, it becomes ever more important to hire a good, experienced accountant in order to ensure peace of mind in terms of abiding by the rules that govern American accounting, the GAAP rules. Getting to meet different people is what drives me in this profession. Being able to have a direct impact on the people and businesses in and around the Colorado Springs community helps connect us with various businesses and industries.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked for the "Big 3" tax franchises as well as small to mid-sized CPA firms helped guide my ultimate decision to open my own firm. Parkhurst Tax Prep is based around the idea of providing more professionalism, by far, than any of the big tax franchises and combining that with a much more affordable cost than the CPA firms out there.
