I recommitted to the Gym! I was sent a welcome message and offered an Orientation and Kick Start one on one meeting with a Personal Trainer. What a great experience. There were 4 of us who were introduced to the Precor Cardio machines and the Stairclimber, different bikes, rowing machines etc. I was intimidated by some of them before, but Holly helped dispel any doubt. Additionally she explained which weight machines were the best combination for targeting the whole body.  Following the Orientation, for the Kick Start, Holly met with me and we focused on my goals. She measured me and took my BMI and % body fat reading (this was optional). Based on what I want to work on, she walked me through a workout that I can follow, and recommended some of the classes to take, to mix it up a little. So, I walked out of there with more confidence and knowledge, and the support I need to attain my health goals. I was very impressed with Holly as a Personal Trainer. I've worked with a few trainers before, and she gets the A grade. As well as being knowledgeable she has a great manner. More...

Definitely best in the area for youth programs, reasonably priced and many options.  It's also great that they offer three different rates for each extra-curricular: resident, non-resident, and surrounding community rates.  The $10 saved with the community rate versus the non-resident fee works well for me!  My entire family has enjoyed many programs throughout the years including basketball, kiddie college, jujitsu, football, little chefs, and even their pre-school programs.  The instructors are both very involved and professional. The park district also offers acceptable rental rates for their rooms.  If having a party, one is also able to add on the bouncy house or park access for a nominal fee.  My children and I have been to numerous parties here, and I have even had the pleasure of hosting one. However, what does get me is their ability to satisfy customers requests for classes.  I have signed my three year old up for kiddie college classes twice now.  Both times, it was later cancelled due to low enrollment.  Yet, the other classes offered are at full capacity with a wait list!  While I understand low enrollment, they need to work on the whole concept of having to dissapoint both young children and parents who were once looking forward to the class.  Possibly allow for bigger classes?I still love this Park District and I will continue to utilize their fabulous programs. Beautiful facility, and my personal trainer, David, is fantastic.  He has really helped me with my low back.  I am so, so much better.  I can't say enough about the cleanliness and helpfulness of everyone there! More...

Great workout facility with lots of equipment! The gym is kept spotless by the employees and members- there are ample antibacterial wipe stations for you to grab a wipe and clean the machines after use. They have decent hours to come workout. The locker room is also kept nice and clean, and has lockers that you can self-program daily so you don't need to bring a lock!I have showered there- the water is hot and the pressure was good but the curtain is way too small for the shower! There was no way to have full coverage so I ended up doing a little dance to stay hidden the whole time I showered. I don't think many use the showers so it wasn't like I was seen by anyone, thankfully. They do not offer towels, so bring your own for showering! They offer some good classes with nice variety too- arrive early to guarantee your spot! (You will get a colored ticket to claim your spot in class). The fitness studios, though, get way too cramped due to the popularity of classes. I would think they should just offer less tickets to class or try to move them to one of the park district studio areas or basketball court! It's a great place overall and a great deal on price per month too. More...

This is a brand new "state-of-the-art" 15,000 square foot fitness center inside Park District of La Grange! What With tons of Precor cardio and strength training equipment plus a Queenax Functional Fitness System (uses your body weight) this huge space was built over the spring and summer of 2017 in what was a previously a storage area. They removed an outside wall and replaced it with glass from floor to ceiling, (so there is natural light when available!) poured the concrete, put on a roof with skylights built the interior from scratch. Aside from the spacious workout area there are two climate controlled group fitness studios where the group classes are held. A wide range of classes are included with the member ship - over 40 weekly - such as Yoga, Tabata, HIIT, Indoor Cycle Express (aka Spin), Strength Training and more! Locker rooms have shower facilities, keyless personal lockers free for daily use. For parents there is childcare available for children 1 year to 8 years old. So, no excuses! If you want some guidance there are Personal Trainers - see website for New Year *Specials*My whole family joined! There are many options for membership and I have to say you get great value for the dollar. The staff and instructors are friendly and informative and the atmosphere is one of community, as you would expect. There are many gyms out there to choose from, and I've tried quite a few in my day, and I like how this gym makes it affordable and inclusive while being clean and up to date with the industry. If you live in La Grange or Countryside you are considered a "Resident Member", those living in towns bordering the Village of La Grange are "Neighborhood Network", even if you just happen to work near this gym you can join as a non-resident at a competitive rate.I have begun my new habit of 2018 - to be more fit and to lose some excess baggage - and I don't have to lose "my shirt" doing it!  A short drive from my home and I'm ready to work-out any day of the week. We are from San Francisco, so we are not capable of handling the cold weather when we are here visiting the grandparents. The indoor playground is super awesome for a 3 year old to spend some of his excess energies so he doesn't destroy grandma's Xmas tree. ;)We will be back for sure!!!

I'm coming here now for use of their track during inclement weather. Current resident rate is $28-- FOR THE WHOLE YEAR! Non-res is just $38/year or you can pay for a daily rate. There is student and senior deals as well, which can be searched online. The price really can't be beat. The track and basketball area is spacious and clean. You do have to keep an eye open for the loose basketball flying at you, but otherwise, I had no problems. There is no locker room, but a coat rack and bathroom, and lockers to rent for  a quarter. I would just bring as little as possible to avoid any issues! There is a nice middle space with seating (in between the bulls/sox training camp and workout classrooms) with vending. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is a great resource in the area, highly recommended. More...

Everyone should explore their community park districts, they're an untapped resource.  LIke the other reviewer, I passed the park district for a couple of years before I decided one day during a walk that I'd stop in and take a tour. It has a huge immaculate gym that's open to residents for running, walking  hooping, etc.  There are meeting rooms that are available for parties and seminars.  There's also one of those air filled, bouncy thingies for kids to jump around in AND there's a baseball clinic. For kids there's a huge indoor playroom  that's awesome for cold weather exercise for 3-9 year olds.  When I take my grandchildren there they play non-stop.There are also exercise, yoga and a host of other programs for everyone in the family from tots to teens and seniors. It's a great resource and I believe they're open a little later than listed in the other review, I believe until 9pm during the week because they have evening classes. The La Grange Park District also serves surrounding communities of Brookfield, Westchester, Countryside and a few others.  La Grange residents pay less for annual membership which I believe is something like $30.
