I hired Paris K Design to renovate and redesign my kitchen in NYC. They provided outstanding service from choosing a color scheme to selecting materials all the while staying within my budget of $50,000 and meeting my deadline. Paris and Tina are exceptional professionals who are not only talented, but also a joy to work with. Paris K Interior design helped us renovate our 3BD, 2bath condo in Manhattan. The renovation was extensive, nothing was left untouched. The kitchen and both bathrooms were gutted and re-done, the closets were repaired and organized. There was also extensive electric and plumbing work completed. The whole renovation was complicated by the fact that we lived in the apartment during the renovation so things needed to be done in stages.
The apartment ended up absolutely beautiful. The dining area with built-in banquet is a real space saver and looks great. The kitchen has a great lay out with maximum cabinet space. Paris was particularly helpful in helping us maximize the space and design everything according to our personal taste with great attention to detail. PKID took care of all the ordering and hiring of contractors, electricians, plumbers, millworkers etc. and managed the contractors and building management. I couldn't have done it without PKID! I have collaborated with Paris in several residential projects in Athens, Greece, ranging from apartments to houses. It has been invaluable to have Paris and his team involved in the design process of new residences from the ground up.

Paris showed me how his thought process really helps in the design of the spaces so that any changes to the layout are incorporated from the initial stages of Architectural design instead of trying to make the shell work for the client after it is already built. Even though he is based in New York, he managed with a few site visits and very good follow up communication, to assist in designing very successful projects that our clients have been treasuring for many years.

In all occasions he was very professional and performed within tight budget and scheduling restrains. His creative input is unparalleled to most designers I have worked with and his long experience with materials makes for a seamless working relationship.

Paris K Design was retained in mid 2007 to oversee the completion of a mostly-finished house that had been purchased some months earlier. The house was largely finished, but none of the interior details had been completed - no working bathrooms, no kitchen, unpainted plain sheet rock ceilings and walls, an untried HVAC system, and an impossibly ugly piece of surrounding property. It was a substantial project under any circumstances, but this particular one was also on a significant deadline - it had to be REALLY done by mid-2008 for the wedding of the son of the owner, a wedding which was planned to happen on the still-unfinished grounds of the property, on the still not-designed deck, and in the still-unfinished interior. Over the following months, I had an opportunity to see the plan unfold and be implemented, as what was previously a shell on an unfinished lot became a gorgeous, refined dwelling with beautiful grounds. It's actually hard to describe the magnitude of the transformation of all the affected spaces, but with a clear and practiced eye, Paris changed a house and property that 'had potential' into a home that invariably gets long looks and effusive praise from all visitors. Unexpected interior details delight the eye, and the quality of the fittings and finish still please, even after six-plus years of hard family use. And the wedding? It happened on time, and went off without a hitch. The house remains a continuous source of joy, and we have nothing but the highest praise for Paris and his team. More...

We needed to redecorate the apartment we bought last year. We hired Paris for this job, since he was referred to us by some friends, and we've seen another example of his work at a friend's house. The redecoration focused on painting some walls, choosing new furniture, selecting paintings and photographs to put on walls, deciding on choosing furniture positioning and even buying some carpets for the living and dining rooms. Since we only wanted to paint a couple of walls, Paris did a great job in selecting for us some great colors that coexisted perfect with the existing color of the rest of the house. Notably, he chose the Hampton's Beige (Benjamin Moore) for our living room's wall where the fireplace and the TV set rest, which is an excellent color, and to our taste, and blends in nicely with the furniture, notably our sofa, in a light beige color, and a vintage armchair that belonged to my parents, and that was restored by Paris, and set to a warm grey color with some yellow details. Matching pillows, some in grey, and some in yellow, were also selected to go along with the sofa and the restored armchair.
Paris also found and bought for us an excellent vintage danish dining table from an antique shop, and he also got us a discount price, along with a vintage-like coffee table for the dining room in a crescent-like shape, with a 50's style and feel.
Finally, Paris suggested to create a composition of black and white photographs of our life, in order to fill an empty corridor wall. He let us choose the photographs, and then designed for us the photograph wireframe layout. It turned out to be a highlight of our house, a place where all our guests stop and see some beautiful moments of our lives.

Paris was always listening to our wishes and requests, and tried to match his creative vision with our own style and attitude. He seemed to have a solid understanding of design, colors and various-era styles., and at the same time provide an artistic view, that escaped the norm and matched our own special needs. More...

My son and I hired Paris to design a Brooklyn brownstone bathroom remodel, as well as some other updates.  Because I am a non-resident of NYC, we required someone who could be as hands-on as possible. My son and I hired Paris to design a bathroom remodel in a Brooklyn brownstone. Because I am not a resident of NYC, it was important that our designer would oversee every detail of the project, send frequent updates and make a lot of decisions so that the project would proceed without many delays.
