I wanted to post this because I think people should know that this place saved my life. I am a bottom of the barrel junkie never thought I would make it . This place gave me two shots to get this and if I needed more I’m sure they would of done it. The staff here are excellent unlike any other facility I have been too. I was addicted to Oxycodone and Xanax for years! I wanted to quit but I was very afraid of withdrawals and even more afraid of leaving home to go to an inpatient detox or rehab. Fortunately I found Parallax. Dr. Ockert and the nurses went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable both mentally and physically while I detoxed. I was a heroin addict and I’ve tried many different methods to kill this addiction before me killing myself with this demon. I’ve tried methadone and suboxone and it just didn’t work for me I was still getting sick and it was just hopeless. The way Parrolax works is that subscriptions provided to the addict are specifically arranged to keep you from getting sick while going through the withdrawal period and trust me guys it works. I went through my rehab period without getting sick and had to show up everyday (mind you it’s better having someone come with you everyday) for a daily checkup and I’ll be on my way. I went for 9 days even though a week would do it I relapsed my second day. All in all the most important aspect of this intervention was family support. It’s 1000x more difficult doing it alone. I had to come clean with my mom my girlfriend my brother and sister. In the end I got my life back and I thank God everyday. Also after the program they offer a monthly shot of Vivitrol which reduces your urge and block your receptors of heroin affects. I did this for 12 months and now I’m free. Outstanding. Great staff, I mean great staff. All personnel were pleasant, helpful, compassionate and good at their jobs. From receptionist, intake personnel, doctor and especially the nurses , all listened and answered your concerns . Benso detox with very slow tampering relies most withdrawal symptoms. Third time here and no complaints. I did the detox and not the aftercare program.Would recommend to anyone wishing to stop the pain and get on a different path. I am a 28 year old alcoholic woman who has been in and out of detox five times since my early 20's, and Parallax is the only center that has ever been successful in stopping the roller coaster. They detoxed me outpatient so I was able to continue working. They then dealt with my anxiety, depression and sleeplessness, and were able to medically stop my cravings. Great out patient clinic, its a 9 day program, you have to come in each day to get your meds, it works if you work it, thanks to them I was able to detox off of opiates.
