Has recently had a dinosaur feature added which is brilliant. Has a play area for children. Is a small zoo with interesting animal exhibits. Well laid out. Has a Cafe. Can easily spend a day there. We take the Grand children regularly. More...

Great place for a family day out with younger kids. The zoo area has a great big cat section and it’s very easy to walk around the different areas with little kids as it’s all quite small and close together. The Jurassic Park bit is a good bit of fun and there are loads of play parks and additional things to entertain the kids. Food choices are all unhealthy and a bit pricey to take a packed lunch. Beautiful zoo, nicely laid out and plenty to see and do. A little pricey but kept all ages in our group entertained for approx 5 to 6 hours. We took a picnic and hard to find space to sit and eat it but well worth a trip. More...

Great for the family and new dinosaur park is great. Being picky I would say ticket price a little steep as approx £70 for family of 4. The restaurants are fairly basic and not much in the way if offering especially healthy foods. The feeding times and entertainment in park were not communicated well enough however we always fun there and visit every year. More...

Great day out. A must visit as couple or family. Something for everyone to see of all ages. Incredibly friend staff all over the Wildlife Park. Keepers are very knowledgeable about their animals. The new White Lion enclosure looks superb, will be back to visit it once it's open. Parking was easy and free. You get your hand stamped so you can return to your vehicle and then gain entry back in to the Wildlife Park without any issues. More...

Visited on Easter Monday, fortunate to have great weather. We loved the compact arrangement, could see and do lots in the day without feeling exhausted even though it was very warm. Kids loved the dinosaur section, which which had the most non-human movement and sound. The big cats were all asleep, but then they don't have to hunt for food and have probably exhausted all conversation over breakfast, so can't blame them. The stage shows were a nice break.Restaurant is decent. Great family day out! For a smaller place there was plenty to do, dinosaur section is fantastic too. Not too expensive for entrance and you get hands stamped which is great if you want to go and grab stuff out of the car. There's play areas for the kids and at a cost you can hire little push arounds. Section for buggies if you don't want to walk all the way round with it. Animals looked amazing, nice enclosures and look well maintained. Would definitely recommend and will be revisiting again. More...

An excellent day out with friends and the kids. Loads to see and do and really engaged/enthusiastic staff, which was a plus.

My only criticism, and this is true of many zoos, is the big cat enclosures. I appreciate the trade off between cost, visitors being able to see the animals up close and giving the animals the space they need, but as always I felt they just didn't have enough. That said, they did have more room than at many other places I've been too, and although the cheetah lacked muscle tone and was pacing around the enclosure it was otherwise very well looked after.

On balance though I'd definitely recommend for a day out with the kids, and will almost certainly be back.

Had a great day here. I got a Red Panda experience for my Birthday and it was amazing! The zoo keeper was so friendly and she knew lots about them and was able to answer all my questions. Went with my husband and some friends and their little boy and there was lots to keep him entertained. The dinosaur section was brilliant too.
Only downside is it's a bit much to charge £2 a person to ride the train.

As a family we love PWP the yearly membership is definitely worth it and we can end up going 3 times a week during school holidays!
My son wants to be a zoo keeper so loves looking at all of the different animals. The new dinosaur section is brilliant too and is included in entry price.
I have found all staff and keepers to be friendly and extremely helpful.
Food can be a little expensive as with all tourist attractions.

What a great place. So much there we spent the whole day there. Dinosaur world only openned in March and was amazing. The animal park had a variety of animals and held the girls interest. Face painting, glitter tattoo and play areas were also fun. We brought a picnic and there were various areas you can sit on to eat it although there are a number of stalls throughout the park for hot and cold drinks, ice cream and food (prices seem reasonable in comparison to other similar places). On the way out we popped into indoor place area, Tumble Jungle. There's also a cafe there; great in the wet weather. Water Lagoon is next door which includes a paddling pool; great for hot weather but not on the day we went. Definitely recommend this park; staff were also very nice and everything seemed clean and well kept. More...

Fantastic day had by all of us I'm 54 I had 4 young adults with me 3 girls 22, 24 and 28 and 1 young man 27. Done the dinosaur walk first and that was brilliant very well laid out as well as interesting. Then we went over to the zoo part and that was well laid out and very clean. Lots of different animals all looked well cared for, listened to a couple of the talks on the animals and they were very informative. All in all a great day out was had by everyone. Only criticism I could make is the food and drink was a little bit on the expensive side but didn't effect us as we took a picnic with us and there are plenty of picnic areas around. More...

A great animal Park plus a dinosaur exhibition and a miniature train to ride too what more could you ask? There is free parking which is lucky because it isn't on a bus route or near a station.
The snow leopards are my favourite. My son was captivated by the moving dinosaurs and my daughter loved the play areas.

Excellent day out for families of all ages. There are slides & swings, animals, sandpits, splash area, soft play & even Dinosaurs! ! It isn't cheap to get in but you can spend the whole day there and not be bored. There are places to get food along with little huts dotted around for snacks & drinks. You can buy food for the animals & even have your face painted. As expected all the "extras" can be quite expensive so may be worth taking a packed lunch if you want to save money. If it's somewhere you can go regularly it may be worth buying a season ticket like we have, it will save you a fortune. They have recently opened a new Dinosaur area which is fabulous and has life size roaring dinosaurs which the kids love. Only downside to this area is they make you leave via the gift shop so it may end up costing you a bit extra on toys. Overall a great day for everyone More...

Lots of different activities for a wide range of ages. Good variety of activities; play areas dotted around the park with similar types of animals grouped together near each other. It's pretty easy to walk across different ends of the park in relatively quick time, so you can get to the various shows, feedings, talks etc in good time. There's a whole section for anamatronic dinosaurs which is a lot of fun, with all your favourites and then some extra ones. Additionally a ride on train goes alongside the dinosaurs More...

Cons: the tickets are on the pricier side, particularly in the off season when some of the attractions are closed and food outlets and experiences are limited.

Pros: a really good family day out for all ages. Loads to see and extremely well staffed - clearly safety was top priority. Everything was well tended and spread out with plenty of rest and play areas to keep the kids busy without being too crowded. Food and drink was reasonably priced and good quality for an attraction of this size. The new dinosaur world was impressive and a must see for little dinosaur enthusiasts. Presenting staff were on top form despite smaller crowds on a cold day - kudos to the pair on the safari stage who danced to an audience of 5 people with the same gusto as a crowd of a 100. Parking was free and plentiful, though not sure how that stands up during school holidays. The staffed crossing joining the two areas is genius and we even got a friendly wave goodbye on our departure.

Definitely on the list for many repeat visits!

We visited for a 1st Birthday and it was great fun. Admittedly the 1yr-old didn't quite understand what was going on, but the rest of the family had a great time looking at the animals. The closeness of the huge white tiger was a bit daunting but great to see. The staff were very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable, and the feeding sessions were good to watch. We went on a slightly rainy day which probably helped with the place not being so busy, giving us more space and time to enjoy it all. Plenty of room for buggies too, and the slow tractor ride around the park is a novelty. More...

Had a brilliant day in paradise park. The speedway museum was excellent 5 star, the animals were lovely and everything was good til we wanted something to eat. .. We went to the cafe where they waited until we queued to inform us they had no pastries, so we went to the restaurant instead-plastic plates and cutlery were basically a sign of things to come. The chips were dry and the fish was greasy, found it very expensive for the food and quality we got. Apart from the dodgy food though, the actual place is excellent. Would go again but with a packed lunch perhaps. More...

This place is absolutely fantastic. Such a huge number of clean happy looking animals from the red panda to the white tiger! So much to see and so much to do. We went for my sister's 18th birthday and purchased an experience to feed the Red Panda. (This was absolutely worth every penny and we will be returning to tickle a tapir one day soon!) These experiences are to be booked online in advance as they can't guarantee it will be available to purchase on the day because only one of each animal experience is available pet day.
There are also lots of animals that can be hand fed using the food provided for £2 a bag including reindeer, alpacas and ostriches.
Staff were all very welcoming and knew all there was to know about the animals they cared for.
Food is available to buy and there is also a large picnic area too if you take your own. The play areas are huge and super fun both indoors and out.
I would 100% recommend this place and it was absolutely worth the 4 hour car journey down there that we made to visit.
I can't wait to go back! We are planning a visit in summer when the children can enjoy the splash park without freezing!
Our 3 and 6 year old children loved it here as did all 4 adults.

This little zoo is improving all the time, and although it is obviously aiming at being popular with the very young, it has more than enough to appeal for all ages. We went there for a 'feed a big cat experience'. This was excellent, and the keeper who showed us around and went through the feeding routine with us, (Hannah), was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the experience an absolute joy. There are several places in the zoo to eat and drink, a free car park, souvenir shops and of course, plenty of animals to look at. All of these are in lovely condition and a joy to see. There are also lots of things for young children to enjoy, as well as a discovery and education centre, and a new dinosaur exhibit was being built when we went. I think the zoo is good value, and the work it contributes to worldwide has to be applauded. For that reason alone I would recommend you visit it, but I also think you will enjoy a good few hours out. More...
