An absolutely pleasure to work with the Pandora's Jukebox team, from the planning stages all the way through to the day itself - organised, responsive, and always willing to go above and beyond to help. On the day itself, the music was of course fabulous, from live music during the ceremony and drinks reception through to the full evening band, and received so many comments from guests throughout. Highly recommend!! More...

Outstanding. For our wedding, music was such an important part of our day and we couldn't have been happier with choosing Pandoras Jukebox. People are still talking about the band 1 month on and most people described them as one of the highlights of the day. They really got the crowd involved, were extremely professional and performed to such a high standard. Words cannot do justice how amazing they were. Their arrangements of 90s music, chart hits etc and their garage medley in particular meant that the dance floor was packed all night and gave the room a 'festival' feel! More...

Hi Dougie and team!!
Well.... im not quite sure where to start!
We wanted to say such a huge thank you for helping to make our day the day we had dreamed of! We could not have wished for a more fantastic band and we throughly enjoyed every single song!!!
You created the most magical party atmosphere and literally ALL of our guests were asking where we found you!
We loved the wind section who came our around the room which out guests were not expecting so their reactions were priceless! Oli our DJ created a perfect play list for in between sets and we really appreciate that too! In fact with the band and DJ being so brilliant i even sacrificed getting BBQ food that i spent years choosing ????????????because I didn't want to miss a second!
Finally, i wanted to say how professional and organised you have been from day 1 of our booking....you have been approachable and helped make everything run smoothly!
Take care and we will be sure to book you for any future parties we have!

Q&As

We love getting people dancing! Most of the performances we do are for weddings and the best part of performing at weddings is how old and young people (and the inbetweens!) of all different tastes in music get together on the dance-floor and have a good time!
We had one bride get in touch after her wedding to pass on her thanks and she mentioned that even her Dad was dancing to our Dubstep Medley! Weddings are such joyous occasions, it's a privilege for us to be a part of so many people's special days.

For our corporate clients, it's great fun too because usually we're either performing after a long day of conferencing and so everyone is ready to loosen up and have a party! Or we're performing at a celebratory evening (christmas party, business anniversary etc.).

Whatever the occasion, we just love kickstarting the party into action and getting that dance floor filled with happy people!

Most of Pandora's Jukebox's musicians met at music college - either The Guildhall School of Music or The Royal Academy of Music - and so we're all good friends.

Function and wedding bands have been around for years - and there are some really good ones out there and some not so great ones! But generally, they all tend to offer the same sort of thing - live covers of all the greatest hits from the last several decades.

We started Pandora's Jukebox whilst studying at college to put our own stamp on all the classic great hits that we loved and to try and take it that little bit further than perhaps other bands have. Through our experimenting and performing regularly in the student union bar, our Pendulum covers were born! Full live drum & bass with synths, percussion, tracks and a full horn section - the lot! Then came electronic dance tracks from the likes of Rihanna, Calvin Harris. Finally we took the plunge and created the Dubstep Medley which surprisingly has been requested at quite a number of weddings over the last 4 years! This was of course alongside performing all the classics from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin to name but a few.

Our thinking has always been to perform songs like the original (or dare we say better!)- so when we do electronic covers, r&b, drum & bass etc etc - we don't want it to sound like a stripped back acoustic version - we want it to have all the big synth sounds and effects that the original song has. Check out the video of the dubstep medley here to see what we're on about! http://www.pandorasjukebox.co.uk/audio-video.shtml

Don't worry though if you hate all that electronic stuff! We do all the old school great hits as well and you can tailor what we play to suit your own personal preference. In fact, our full repertoire list spans nearly 8 decades! - you can see the full list here: http://www.pandorasjukebox.co.uk/repertoire.shtml

We want to give you and your guests the wow factor similar to that you’d get from going to see your favourite artist at a full on pop concert so we've tried where possible to mould ourselves on that. We’ve taken live shows by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce to name but a few as our inspiration and so when we perform our sets, you’re not just getting a run of the mill band reeling off the same old stuff in the same old way!

Might have strayed a little bit from the original question! But the bottom line is, we started the band first and foremost because we're all trained musicians and absolutely love what we do and right from our very first few gigs 'down the SU basement!' we knew that the band would be popular and perfect for all sorts of different occasions.

We are not the cheapest band around, but then again we don't cut corners - and value for money is extremely important to us.

As a band we've performed at 150+ weddings and events since we formed but collectively as pro musicians, we've performed at thousands!

We’ve invested a lot over the last few years alone to develop our performance package into what it is now - there are quite a few little details that really do make the difference between us and other bands.

For example - we only use high end professional audio equipment (from the likes of EV, Shure, Sennheiser). We use wireless microphones and in-ear monitoring for our vocalists and horn players meaning they are free to move about. This means we can bring the performance onto the dance floor with interaction. The in-ear monitoring means that all musicians can hear much more clearly which allows them to perform to the best of their ability. It also means we can more tightly control the stage noise which means a kinder performance on your guests ears and overall much better sound quality.
We only use hand picked musicians who are at the absolute top of their game - with years and years of collective experience performing at countless weddings - they really know what it takes to put on a memorable show and make sure everyone has an amazing time.
And then the pièce de résistance is our huge (and ever expanding) library of signature arrangements of the greatest hits from the last 8 decades.

Obviously the show on the night is important, but actually the booking process beforehand is just as important. When you book with us, you are dealing with the musicians direct - there's no agency or middle man - you have our email and phone number and you can call with questions any time or email us and we will get back to you promptly!
We've developed a really straightforward booking process and introduced some fun things within it too (like the song requester!) to help take the stress out of it all.

Services

Our largest and most impressive line-up. With 3 stunning vocalists and our signature 6 piece horn section, it is unrivalled in sheer wow-factor, style and brilliance.
Also available as a 12 or 13 piece.

Our most loved line-up - combining all the main elements of our flagship 14 piece band but with a smaller footprint. With 2 brilliant vocalists and our signature 3 piece horn section, the wow factor is by no means sacrificed.

* Not available on Saturdays May - Sept and Dec *
For venues with tight space, our 7 piece band may be just the answer. Similar to our 10 piece band but without the horn section, you might think this is a lightweight option - but with the same songs and arrangements on offer along with the usual on-point musicality and finesse there's nothing lightweight about our 7 piece - you can expect to be treated to a truly mighty performance.

If you are looking for a smaller instrumental lineup that can kick out jazz and pop classics from the last 10 decades but fit into almost any tight spot, the 'PJ trio' is the band for you.
This band is absolutely perfect for garden parties, birthdays, wedding drinks receptions, corporate events and much more.

If you want to go even bigger on the wow factor, then this is definitely for you. With a fully synchronised lighting show on a stage spanning truss structure, it really does add another level of excitement to the performance.

Includes:
• Full stage span silver goalpost truss •
• Four high power stage LED par cans •
• Four Showtec LED Moving Head lights •
• Two Pixel Swing Battens •
• Top of the range Haze machine •

Fully synchronied with every song we perform for a truly impressive light show
