On my 75th birthday I made a promise to my wife and children that I would see a Hearing Aid Specialist and I did just that upon my return to South Carolina from Virginia. Tommy Baker, Palmetto Hearing Aid Specialist, recommended to me by six or seven very satisfied customers who live in the Santee Cooper Resort in Santee, SCI made my first appointment, was treated in a very professional manor by all members of Tommy's staff. and Tommy. After a hearing test showed partial hearing loss in my left ear I went to 2 other places before Palmetto Hearing that tried to sell me the most expensive hearing aid they carried. One place even told me I should consider buying both because my hearing in the ear with the aid will be so much better I will feel like I can’t hear as well with the ear that tested normal. Tommy at Palmetto Hearing retested my hearing and suggested a hearing aid that would meet my hearing requirements and not break the bank. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable about the products they sell. They made sure that my hearing aid fit comfortably and preformed well within the first few weeks of receiving it. I learned of Palmetto Hearing Healthcare Center through hear.com as I was in the process of deciding whether or not to get hearing aids. My experience has been nothing but positive. Tommy is very patient with all my technological challenges and takes the time to find solutions to any problems I might have encountered. I felt as if the decision whether or not to get hearing aids and which kind was totally up to me, and I liked the fact that Tommy, although helpful in my decision making, did not try to coerce me in any way. I saw Tommy in their Summerville office. Â They were very timely and friendly. Â He programmed hearing aids that I got 6 years earlier and haven't worn in years, as well giving me a hearing test.
