Palette Cakes

Kellie did the most amazing job creating a wedding cake for us. Her attention to all the details from the beginningof the process all the way through to the delivery of the cake was so wonderful! !! Kellie was willing to tailor the flavors to our liking, and they were all delicious (red velvet, carrot cake, and vanilla with pistachio). The cakes were so flavorful and moist!! They even tasted good a few days later when I couldn't help myself from having more. The decorations were also absolutely gorgeous. Kellie's artistry was evident in the beautiful hand piped floral details on two of the tiers of our cake, as well as handmade sugar flowers. I was so anxious about getting the right cake ... i.e. one that is elegant on the outside and delicious on the inside, for a milestone birthday celebration . .. then I stumbled upon Palette Cakes on Yelp. I reached out to the owner, Kellie, who was not only prompt and super patient when responding to my gazillion inquiries, but that she immediately understood exactly what it is that I wanted; incorporating my ideas with her really helpful suggestions. After so much deliberation (because there is quite a variety of seasonal cakes listed on palettecakes.com:)) I settled for a Milk Chocolate Peach on Almond Cake. Saying that all the guests raved about the cake's elegant design, along with its tastiness, would definitely be an understatement. Thank you, Kellie. The owner of Palette Cakes, Kellie, is the most talented pastry artist I have ever seen. Her work with sugar flowers is absolutely STUNNING and her cakes and cookies are delicious! I had the pleasure of having her make my cake and cookie table for my wedding last month, and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. I would 100% RECOMMEND Palette Cakes and will definitely use her again for future needs!To start, Kellie's creations are breathtaking. At our wedding, everyone (both guests and staff) were just raving about how beautiful her cake was. She matched the cake to our theme and florals perfectly. Her sugar flowers are so beautiful, you literally cannot tell that the flowers are edible.  It's crazy how perfect and realistic they are. She is also an incredibly talented painter, and she can create beautiful painted or piped displays on your cake or cookies if that's more your style. On top of that, her cakes and cookies are so good. We went with a chocolate cake with hazelnut frosting as well as a spiced pecan cake with whiskey buttercream and both were so moist and flavorful. They were probably the best cakes I have ever tasted. They had the perfect amount of cake to frosting and tasted so fresh. We also had the tripple chocolate fudge cookies with Oreo as well as chocolate covered shortbread. We ordered enough cake for 80 slices + over 100 cookies for a 50 person wedding. We had literally no leftovers because everything was just that good. Most people had 2 slices of cake and took home a baggie of cookies. Kellie is also very professional and easy to work with. She was really easy to schedule a tasting with and was really helpful during the entire process. She took what we were envisioning, provided some great suggestions and came back to us with a sketch capturing exactly what we were hoping for. She listens to her customers, but also providers her expert insight and opinions which will take her idea to the next level. On the day of your event, she delivers and sets-up all the desserts for you so that she can make sure everything looks perfect. Overall, I am so pleased with my experience with Palette Cakes. I will wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone I know looking for a cake or dessert catering for any event. Trust me, you will not regret it if you go with her! More...

I don't generally write a lot of Yelp reviews, but Kellie is a true professional and I would recommend her to anyone. We didn't know much about planning a wedding and were pretty stressed out about a lot of the details, so Kellie was a breath of fresh air to work with. The tasting was a lot of fun (and delicious!) and her renderings were beautiful in their own right. I really should have framed her watercolor sketches! Through it all, she was super easy to communicate with and very accommodating when we had questions or requests. And seriously, our cake was outstanding! The coconut lime + vanilla was a huge hit. You will never taste, or see, a better cake. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The sampling was intimate and all of our ideas were captured perfectly.
