Academically the school is amazing but socially it’s terrible. The rules are pathetic and they do nothing about bullying. At the beginning of the year they tell you that they will not tolerate bullying and if anyone is being a bully they will be dealt with severely . Guess what, they do nothing about it. If the student has a past of mental issues they will move forms straight away but if the average student is getting bullied they will say ignore it and carry on with their daily lives. The PE department is kind of sexist in the way that the highest grade girls can get in PE is an E+ yet boys can get an IA

Teachers are always biased when two students have an issue.
Some students were being bullied or had been going through a rough time in their forms and four self harmed. The teachers were informed about this and the most they did was tell the parents and told them to see doctors in risk of infection. They didn’t even consider the mental side of this, even though there have previously been reports on the issues from those students to the teachers. The teachers tell the students and parents different things, they tell the student that the bullying is all their fault (when they’re the victim) and then they tell the parent that it’s not their child. Overall I don’t recommend sending your child here as I am a student and know what’s it like to be in this hellhole, don’t ruin your childs life. Even if the school see this I couldn’t care less, they only start to do something about bullying when the parents have complained multiple times, mine has been going on from the beginning of the year and they have only let me move forms now. teachers are bullies and the kids are too. issues are never sorted, leaving there was the best thing i ever done i'm so much happier where i am now.

its pathetic really, you get after school detentions for wearing a coat inside, even in the winter. you aren't even allowed to wear a hairband on your wrist other wise guess what? ... detention!

when i was there i towards the end i was in internal exclusion for at least a month (isolation) and do you know the best part? they didn't even let you get work. they made you sit there in silence and after school, guess what? ... an hour detention!

in the summer it was very hot in the detention and i asked them can you turn on the air conditioning? they said no. the heating was on and i fainted, they didnt even let me leave until i finished the detention. More...

I go to this school and its really good! All the teachers are so supportive! The school also deals with bullying really well.

I attended this school myself (2013-2014) for year 8 and year 9. The teachers didn't deal with bullying problems when I was there, and still to this day (2017) they don't deal with them! Students that still go to the school who I speak to complain about how nothing is done about bullying, which i think is as important as education. They also don't deal with behavioural issues well, simply give detentions or isolation, and the teaching that is given is poor. I would not recommend. More...

Both my children attend this school and both are very happy. Great staff , strong leadership and an impressive array of different activities as well as subjects that the children can enjoy. It’s also good to see the results in the children as they want to excel in the learning environment that has been created by the staff. Well done More...
