Such a fun and upbeat atmosphere! I've been dying to paint and decided to finally try and do this. All the staff were friendly and helpful when the original painting I wanted to do, the instructor had to cancel due to not having enough people sign up that day, however they contacted me and rescheduled me but doing a different painting! I ended up going by myself as my friend couldn't attend but 1) I didn't want to lose my spot 2) I had fun either way making small talk with the other painters around me. It's amazing to see everyone's interpretations of the painting. More...

Came here for a private event (friend's birthday celebration) and our party was given a private room. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with all of the paintings they offer us "artists" to paint. Our party chose the dreamcatcher and we had a blast with this one! Our artist was Elizabeth and she definitely made it a fun night! She had us bopping along to all kinds of music while we painted. This is a BYOE place: food, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), cups, plates etc. So make sure you pack accordingly and make sure to let go and have fun! More...

When I showed up to check in they couldn't find my name anywhere on the list. I pulled up the email confirmation to show them I had paid.. it turns out I showed up a day early. I thought I had purchased tickets for the Friday night class but it was actually for Saturday. They were incredibly nice and let us stay for the class that night. The instructor was awesome and we had a great time! They were very welcoming and didn't make us feel like a burden for showing up on the wrong day. More...

Painting...with a twist in Pembroke Pines. (Spoiler: The twist is that this class is BYOB. Well, any drink plus snacks!)Located right next to the Regal Cinema in the Westfork Plaza.I came here for a friend's birthday for a different kind of party. Its BYOB so come prepared, especially if you aren't the best artist like me.If you don't have that artistic gene, don't fret! The instructors break it down step by step while allowing you to create your own version of the painting they have for the night. And if that's not enough, take a sip of any adult beverage you choose to bring. Trust me, it helps. The whole night isn't just about painting, they let us take a break for a little game, both for the enjoyment of the group and to allow our first layer of paint to dry. At the end of the night, you bond with old friends, possibly make new friends and leave with a painting plus new skills to make more art!Painting with a Twist is one of my favorite things to do for date nights, get togethers, or even if you're just craving to do something a little different! Came here on a Monday night(reserve online before the class starts) and it was dead. I mean, the class was set up for at least six people and we were the only ones to show up that night. We almost thought it was closed! Regardless, our painting instructor decided to allow us to stay and paint! Her name was Amber and honestly she made the whole experience. We were skeptical about being the only ones to be there and paint(can you say awkward? Lol) but Amber made us feel like it was meant to just be us three the entire time. She had us laughing the entire time, really helped us get our paintings look semi professional, and played awesome 80s music to accompany the painting journey. Painting with a twist is fun because they provide everything you need to honestly paint a nice picture. And I can say that coming from two very uncreative people . They walk you through each step, help you fix mistakes, and honestly make you feel like an actual painter. My husband and I have decided that we will just go to painting with a twist every month to populate our home with cheap art! Haha. In all seriousness though, great experience. Very cool studio. Great music, awesome painting instructor, and the fact that they still let us paint after the whole class bailed, made it even better! Highly recommend this place and Amber as an instructor!! I'm giving this place four stars because is missing information on their website . I bought three tickets on their website with a credit card that I don't carry around because of its credit limit . I first called but since no one answered I figure it out and paid on their site . I get a call back from I guess the owner now that I know and she said she saw my missing number I told her oh I figured it out . I just didn't know how the payment thing went and we hung up . When I get to place the young lady at the front tells me that she needed to see my credit card the one I paid with . I told her I didn't have it but I can show her my driver license along with the confirmation on my email . She kept telling me that's not gonna Work . Now I'm getting annoyed and frustrated because I live an hour away. I tried calling my husband to to get a picture of it but he wasn't home . She still wasn't buying it . I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager . I'm like on your website it Doesn't say anything on bringing the actual card. I do this all the time when I buy tickets to concert . I just show my Id . I ended up getting a refund to my card and just paying cash . The reason I'm frustrated is because what if you don't bring cash or other credit cards . I know she said it was for my credit protection but let's get real is an art class who the heck is going to try to steal a card for an art class . They should let the customer know so that they come prepare . The reason is getting four stars because at the end for all the trouble the young lady was very nice and gave me a coupon for for the free class and because the people teaching the class were funny and the whole experience was fun. I will come back and give another star once they fix their site and are more specific so that everyone knows. More...

I'm not much of an artist or creative when it comes to art-- painting, drawing, or sketching but this place is meant for everyone whether they're novices or experts in painting! This was my first experience in a setting like this. They offer food & drinks (that require additional $$$) while you paint! You have to book ahead of time and you can pick a day that correlates to a specific painting that you would like to paint. This event is perfect for a girls day or for a date! You follow the instructor's lead while they show you step-by-step what to paint, so this is great guidance for whoever is a visual learner and struggles in painting (like me). It was really therapeutic for me while painting the canvas and it was a fun stress reliever. Of course your painting doesn't have to be perfect and you can always add your own twist and unique style to it, and that's what makes it great because you can see how everyone's painting is totally different in the end. It's a 2-hr long class, and the staff made it a really fun experience with their enthusiasm. They made us feel comfortable and did not critique our own paintings if we messed up. They also let us go at our own pace if we didn't finish a certain step and waited for everyone to be on the same step. The studio even has a separate room for private parties. I would definitely do something like this again and do more paintings! More...

My experience was good. We had Kelly, I think. She was fun, very helpful. The music was good. We did an elephant, I love elephants. The outline of the elephant was already drawn in with a sharpie. I have mixed feelings about that part in terms of originality, but everyone's elephants turned out great with their added personal touches. More...

Beautiful studio with a tasteful sitting area if you just want to sit for a light lunch or glass of wine and watch the class. Studio is set up with big screen monitors so you can see the instructor regardless of where you are sitting.

I like the variety in the calendar which is packed with canvas paintings, wine glass painting projects, paintings suitable for children, paintings designed to be displayed in pairs or other groups. There is a bit of something for everyone and they take walk-in participants if you are a last minute planner!

Amber and Jules were great!!They had patience with us, made us laugh, played good music and even played a game with us!!The painting we selected was a bit difficult but they made us feel at ease and everyone at my party enjoyed themselves!!I rated this location 4 stars for one reason....THE ROOM WAS TOO SMALL AND IT FELT CROWDED AT TIMES. We requested to be on the outside where it's much bigger but that request wasn't granted for whatever reason. We were the the last and only party there at that time (8-10pm) so I'm not sure why we couldn't sit out there. More...

I had great time Friday evening painting my finished product at this Studio!  The room was just right for our private event and the game we played was the right one to set the tone to relax and enjoy an evening of fun.  Our Team Building event for two and a half hours turned out fantastic!  All of our paintings were amazingly beautiful at the end!  Much thanks to our Instructor Amber who took the time to guide us all in the right direction so that we could come out with our own unique work of art!  The Staff at this facility were very welcoming.  This, believe it or not, makes it worthwhile to always want to return for another event.  Unforgettable 7-6-18! The staff is friendly and quirky. You have 2 individuals helping in the class, which is nice. I didn't really see that in the other locations. Not a big fan of the painting rooms are at this location. One room offers little privacy while the second room area has a more private setting it's still not as big of a space. The convenience is that after or before the painting there are Reataurant or even a movie option to continue the night or day. They also have classes starting around 9pm which is great. More...

"Fun with Marilu and Edwin" What a perfect way to celebrate Marilu's birthday party with booze, colored paints, white easels, smocks, munchies, and a rad art instructor. There was even a cake and group song singing (for Marilu of course!). But what makes Painting With A Twist special has to be the fun staff! I always enjoy lively engagement by the staff of any business during a meal, painting class or when buying a set of radial tires. The attitude of the staff is half the battle for any business and PWAT delivers. Thank you to Edwin for arranging the entire birthday party, thank you to the fellow Yelpers who were also there to share in this happy occasion, and thank you to the PWAT staff for making me feel like an artist! Would anyone like my ear? LOL More...

Amber made this so much fun!We were invited to an adult birthday party and arrived with wine in hand.  The room was set-up for us and our instructors were ready for us once we had our glasses full. The experience could be intimidating but have no fear, they take you through the process slowly (even for the most artistically challenged).  Btw, after each instruction, a sip is required... ok, not really but I needed one or two. This was not my first paint event experience but it was by far the most fun.  Our instructor Amber (and her partner) were responsible for this.  They were both the teacher and cheer squad while playing off us.  It was hysterical at times. They were ready with any supplies we might need and even had games for breaks.  The place was clean, professional and a blast.  I would definitely do it again! What a fabulous experience... Our friend Edwin planned a birthday for he's girlfriend Marilu... also our friend Lol For her birthday she wanted to do something fun and different... Painting with a Twist.... We arrived 5 minutes late, thank god they didn't start without us. Painting with a Twist you get to book you party and select a painting for the class and bring food and drinks. Our friend Marilu picked a really cute painting. Of a seal a polar bear and a penguin. She decided on this particular painting because seal mean (foquita) in Spanish and that's what she used to be called by family and friends and now she gets to paint it with friends. Our host was super fun and helpful. She helped us make the cutest paintings with a little twist/ wine and music also helped Lol. I 100% recommend this spot. Hope you and your family or friends love it as much as we did. More...

Now this was fun!!! Not much of a painter, but you add some wine and some amazing people into the mix with an amazing staff and this is a must do on all accounts!!! We had a private room for 20 people and it is a BYOB environment. Bring anything you'd like to drink while painting and they are good to go. Food is also welcome! They give you an apron and let you know that that the paint isn't toxic and and will come off you if it happens to get on you but probably won't come off your clothes which was much appreciated. The staff, I really wish I remembered their names, but the two young ladies were fantastic!!! Cracking jokes left and right and they were really involved with our group. They were both really patient with us rookie painters, and it was just such an amazing time all together. They teach you everything step by step to make something you thought you never could. I was very surprised to see that I don't absolutely suck at painting lol. What I really am trying to say is.... YOU NEED TO GO AND GET YOUR PAINT ON! Trust me, it'll be worth it. Thank you for making Marliu's birthday such an awesome night! More...

If you know me, then you know that anything creative I'm always up for. Well, painting falls into that boat and I first went to Painting with a Twist (the one near The Falls) last year and absolutely loved it. When my birthday came around, I couldn't help but think that setting up a painting party would be the best way to celebrate. Before anything, I am so lucky that my boyfriend, Edwin P., took the plunge and organized this party for me. Essentially I gave him an invite list and told a few people, but he was the one that called, dealt with the staff, and brought the goods. While I cannot speak for the personal dealings with the staff prior to arrival, I can say that when I arrived at this particular location, everyone was friendly, attentive, and generally on point. Our instructor was Amber. She was so peppy and full of energy. She definitely kept the party going. She was accompanied by Nina in a Christmas tree hat that was quirky and fun. She was very helpful with the paints and a joy to be around. With music, jokes, and laughter, and perhaps a bit of insanity (I mean, I did name the brushes Old Faithful Olga and New Lucky Lucy, after all), the time flew, so thank goodness for that extra half hour. For those wondering how a birthday party works, you essentially call and set up a contract. I believe you need a minimum of ten painters for a week night party and a minimum of fifteen painters for a weekend party. Anyway, once you set up the contract, you get a link to view thousands of paintings. From there, you get to choose which one you want to do. If you do a two-hour painting, it's $35 per person, while a three-hour painting is $45 per person. I chose to do a two-hour painting called Polar Pals, but really, I have redubbed it Foquita and Friends. My own mind aside, once you pick a painting, you are able to send a link to your friends to register. With that link comes the pass code and voilà - you are ready, set, game! I know there are penalties if you don't get the necessary amount of people. I believe you are responsible for the missing parties, but seeing as I didn't do the contract and all of my friends showed up, I would say to read the FAQ site and find out. I do know that if you are late, you forfeit your seat. In fact, I was afraid this would happen to one friend who was late, but fortunately for us, this wasn't the case. They let him paint and catch up to the rest of us given it being an easy painting.A few things to note. If you've ever gone to another of this franchise, this location is small and the parking is madness. More than anything, be aware of this on a weekend. This location is quite literally smacked next to a movie theater. The best place to park is directly behind the shop. Also, bring ice, utensils, food, alcohol, whatever you need to celebrate your party. Try not to leave it for the last minute. While we were fortunate that there was a Publix nearby, there were some scares given the parking situation. I mean, it certainly could be worse. The parking could be paid parking, but fortunately that isn't the case.I think the last thing I need to say is I am so grateful for this experience. I love painting and I love spending time with my friends. I also thought it was a nice gesture that I received a painting from the staff for free. I am pretty sure this is included in the package, but what do I know? I was the birthday girl and I am just so appreciative of everything. If I loved this place before doing a party there, then I certainly have reached new heights after having a party there. The staff is really there to make your event worthwhile, and well, with your friends and a bit of wine by your side, what could possibly be better? GO, GO, GO, if you haven't already! More...

You know what they say about enjoying what you do and it not really being work...I'm in the construction industry and 96.789% of my drawing is linear and monochrome black lines. However, I love art in general so I was definitely glad to come here and paint, especially since it was celebrating my good friend Marilu's birthday.Of course, I was running Hialeah time, and got the class an hour late. Thankfully, our super pleasant and energetic instructors Amber & Nina let me in the class. Nina was extra pleasant in giving me a crash course to catch up in mixing colors, and keeping the oil paints coming for my work. As the birthday girl mentioned, Amber had a great sense of humor, going as far as naming the brushes and singing along to the chill soundtrack.Marilu's nickname is "Foquita" (Spanish for Seal), so the painting was called Polar Pals, and featured a seal, penguin and polar bear. Granted, my painting talent is best left to steel beams and building layouts. Thus, my polar bear looked more like a yorkie with pink ears and my seal like The Joker.  But it was a fun Saturday evening with friends! The birthday girl even won a free painting. The space was super clean, except for our aprons after our masterpieces. That's right, I got to rock a real life painters gear. I was able to find parking almost in line with the entrance. The food situation is BYOB. Since I was running late (or the usual Sergio time) I had to go empty handed. However, I did enjoy the Doughboy donuts Jenn brought, as well as some Publix fried chicken. Highly recommended for a fun and creative celebration. HBD Marilu!! More...

Recently my company had our team building retreat here. Initially we were going elsewhere, but due to weather we had to be moved indoors. I have to admit, initially I was a little bummed, but as the night progress ( and I'm sure the bottle of wine I drank helped) I really enjoyed myself! This is not my first class like this, but the first at this location. It has two rooms for classes, but at the time, only one was going on. We sat up an area for drinks and food and when we were ready we headed to our station. Our instructor and her helper walked us through the painting with ease- or not with ease depending on the amount of wine you drank. She took as much time as she could to help you navigate through the canvas to make the portrait you're painting look as much as the original as possible. They played good music. We played games too. It was really interactive for something I thought would just be me painting while getting drunk- I mean that happened too, but I was more social than I thought. We laughed. We cursed. We got through it. Some paintings were great. Some only a mother could love. At the end of the night we all had a (somewhat) beautiful piece of art (that's still in my trunk). This is really a great idea for groups of any type. Definitely worth a try. More...

Had a painting party for my 28th birthday a few weeks ago and I definitely enjoyed mynight hanging with my friends and family. I booked the party last minute and Allie (the lady i spoke to) was awesome, she did everything she could to accommodate me and she made it happen. We had two instructors - Amber and Ariel, THEY WERE AWESOME and so patient with us lol. We painted, ate, got tipsy and enjoyed some great music. The ONLY thing I hated was that they don't have tinted windows or some kind of curtains, It was just super awkward to try to have fun with the people i love and strangers standing outside the window looking in at us. I felt like we were on display and that's not what i wanted. If you want to have fun, drink and feel like picasso for a day lol go go go!!!! thanks PWAT . More...
