Recommended for date night, girls hang time and gathering for fun. BYOB as music already supplied. First time but i will definitely be back, thank you Farrah and energetic Emilio. (Visited Friday, October 11, 2019 for the 6:30 class)Painting Lounge - Harlem is incredibly accommodating. I would not suggesting arriving 40 minutes late like my group, however they accommodated us. They helped us catch up to the painters who were there already. It’s a very calm venue. The music isn’t incredibly loud, allowing you to carry a conversation, laugh, and most importantly; listen to the instructor. There are 2 very clean bathrooms. You are not rushed to finish within the 2-hour window. Instead, you work at your own pace. I highly recommend visiting. Book online! More...

Went here last night with a group of ladies. Had a great time and the place is quite spacious. Would go again. Deducted one star, however, because the instructor (wait he made it a point to say he was a guide not a teacher) seemed annoyed most of the time, snapped at one person that he couldn't draw something for her even though she didn't ask him to and only expressed enthusiasm at the end when pointing out the tip jar. It was not my first experience of painting class but the first with this enterprise. What is good they have plenty of choice of pictures to paint (I believe they paint several pictures a day), the room is quiet big, you can book private events, they are open till late night and have many locations around the city. What I didn’t like is the constant noise/laugh of drunk people around (wine is OK to be brought and consumed during the class) which quiet annoying and cause some headache and which our teacher did not even try to manage. My husband and I don’t drink at all. Also teacher did not manage to finish the picture in two hours, maybe 2 and half and we started 15 min later.We booked the class for 8:30 pm and left the room at 12:30 am as you have to wait till the painting dries (in previous place they provide hair dryer to speed up the process), finally were at home at 2 am, take it into consideration. The overall experience varies according to the instructor, but it's a genuine stress reliever and it's always fun. I've taken 2 sewing classes (machine basics + buttons and zippers) and a power tools class. I have been a closet DIYer for many years, but wanted to gain some experience and insider knowledge without having to waste hours and $$ on supplies just because I would make mistakes. Here I was forewarned about easy mistakes, what I could do to avoid them and what better alternatives are out there when planning and executing a project. While I'm not quite ready to open a shop on Esty, I am armed with way more confidence to walk into a fabric shop or Lowe's to ask not just questions, but the right questions to help complete my projects. It was our first time here for my adult daughter's birthday and we had the best time ever! Bernard, our instructor was really helpful, engaging and played great music. This is a fantastic opportunity to test and learn your painting skills. I didn't realize that I would be doing the whole painting from start to finish. Our Instructor Angela was wonderful.
