My family and I recently visited San Diego on vacation. My daughter wanted to do a photo shoot while we were there, so I searched around on Yelp to find some suggestions. Valerie quickly responded and was able to fit us in her busy weekend schedule. She showed us around Balboa Park and picked the greatest times and locations to shoot without having a bunch of other people in the photos. My kids loved her and that made getting all of the candid and posed shots easy. In the end she was able to share the photos within a day or so and then shipped the raw images to my house on a thumb drive so I could have the full quality images on hand. I can't say enough. Geez, I don't even know where to go begin. Let me start by coming across Valerie again after we did our first engagement session with her, which turned out so BEAUTIFUL by the way. I'm not gonna lie we were both awkward turtles and don't know how to act (lol) but somehow Valerie knew how to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. When I first spoke to her over the phone, I was really shy but once we started shooting together, I realized how down to earth and a cool/chill person she really is! So we decided to move on and hire Valerie again to capture our big day because of her professionalism and character. Which I love how goofy she can be. Words can't express how happy and satisfied we are with our wedding photos! She captured every little detail, literally went above and beyond more than what I expected. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing Valerie is! I feel so incredibly blessed to have her not only shoot our engagement photos but our wedding photos as well. Our wedding was a destination wedding on May 22, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana and believe it, she flew from San Diego, California to shoot our wedding. Throughout my wedding experience I feel as though I had gained a friend in Val. With the added stress and pressures of a Destination wedding topped with extreme family dysfunction, Valerie had became a refuge and source of laughter. I could never thank her enough for being so amazing! We received our photos a few weeks ago and I have been sitting on this review in fear I wouldn't be able to do her Justice. I absolutely love my photos and love the way she was able to capture the day as though it were perfect. Her photography speaks for itself. Thank you Val for not only being an instant best friend but capturing so many amazing moments. I can truly look back on that day with a huge smile and let the rest fade. Val is the best photographer ever!!! Not only is she a great photographer but she is also so much fun to work with. If you have not found a photographer for your wedding/special event stop looking because she is the one.
