We received a review from Vanessa Kline regarding "services rendered." Her company, Beast Pacing, failed to render the services in her contract, so we offered a lesser payment. She has not accepted that payment.

Beautiful course from start to finish. The whole weekend was great. My husband and I were prepared for rain but were pleased to see dry conditions. It was a pleasure to run the fields and town were I grew up. More...

It’s such a positive environment, and encouraging how everyone has a story to tell about their journey. The race director is awesome and goes way out of his way to make it a memorable experience for every runner. Beautiful scenery and the perfect season. More...

It was my first 1/2 marathon. I was the last one in at 6.41 and they walked me in encouraging me the whole way. Very walker friendly. They stood by what they advertised of creating fitness awareness by allowing me to attempt and finish my first 1/2 marathon even though I took longer then the alotted time frame. More...

The race was flat and fast as promised. There were a few glitches with the return shuttles but overall you could tell the amount of care the race director and other volunteers really put in to try to make this a good experience. It may have been a tiny bit long but I have no complaints with any of the race itself and thought both the course and on-course race support were goos”d (e.g., nice point-to-point run, plenty of pacers who kept on pace, plenty of on-course aid and restrooms, nice on-course volunteers providing direction and traffic support, etc.). I would do it again if I lived in the area. More...

This was my first full marathon and I was stoked because it finished in the town where I grew up! The flat course was a huge plus for a marathon rookie and the aid stations were well stocked and always close by. Great communication from the organizer leading up to the event. Thanks to all the volunteers that came out so early and supported everyone all day!! More...

The half marathon was a flat course with lots of aid stations. My watch showed the half marathon course being 13.33 miles and it looks like other participants had similar results. The drop off shuttle from the Hilton Garden Inn to the starting area worked well for us (we were on the second shuttle), but there were issues with the return shuttle from the finish line to the hotel (we waited 40+ minutes and no shuttle ever came by). The race director’s wife and some other volunteers stepped up and drove us back to the hotel in their own vehicles. More...

Thank you for the wonderful marathon race. My friend and I truly enjoyed it. We loved the positive atmosphere at the Expo and loved hearing the inspiring stories. Packet pick up went smoothly and we are thrilled with our t shirts. The shuttle came on time and brought us directly to the starting line. The course was beautiful and had great directions with signs and volunteers directing us which way to go. I loved that it was a point to point marathon. We were thankful for so many aid stations and the port a potties. My friend was battling stomach issues so she was very grateful for those! I had the opportunity to run with a few your pacers and they were so encouraging and positive. They helped me get to mile 22. My original plan wasn’t to run with a pacer, but I’m thankful that they were there. I couldn’t have finished without them. I’m grateful for your positive cheerleaders at the finish line. I knew I wouldn’t have anyone to greet me at the finish line so it was nice to hear someone cheering for you. The medal was also beautiful. It has a beautiful ribbon and I love the design. I got a nice stretch from your sponsor Therapeutic Associates which really helped with my leg cramps. That was a nice service to offer. I would highly recommend this race. It may not have all the bells and whistles of bigger marathons, but for the price (which was quite affordable), it offered the essentials and offered a positive and encouraging atmosphere. We will be back next year! More...

I have been a pacer for the half since the first year and served as captain for the last two years. I have seen it all and seen how far this race has come. This year they took on a new course which was flat, very beautiful and almost eerie at points because of the fog on the grasslands. The course itself was well supported and had well-manned water stations that yo.well stocked with fuel to recover and a stretching area. This is a small no-frills race so the expectations should be as such. They seek to be a budget-friendly, all abilities friendly race. They had their challenges with shuttles this year but being ran by volunteers the challenges they have had in the past they met head-on and got better the next year. I will be back as long as they will have me. PS-The one thing I would really love is for bigger mile marker signs that are more stable in the wind next year. More...

Great event! I just ran the half today! The race seemed well organized and the course is fast and flat as described and runs through lovely neighborhoods and parks, nicely shaded, lots of beautiful trees and greenery, etc. Loved the venue for the start and finish. Loved the free hot dog or burrito option at the end for participants and BTW the "dawg's" were great and the fellow that owns and runs the hot dog stand was really cool!! He even took the time to snap a few pics of my friend and I for us. Enjoyed the live music while we were eating and waiting for award announcements.
