This has been such a blessing in my life I love being a part of this Northwest marathon with the support and the training that they give the course was fantastic and clearly marked 1st time I've had a chance to be a volunteer great people awesome environment excited for the one.
Beautiful course from start to finish. The whole weekend was great. My husband and I were prepared for rain but were pleased to see dry conditions. It was a pleasure to run the fields and town were I grew up. More...
It’s such a positive environment, and encouraging how everyone has a story to tell about their journey. The race director is awesome and goes way out of his way to make it a memorable experience for every runner. Beautiful scenery and the perfect season. More...
The race director is awesome and works hard to make his event better each year.
If I could I would absolutely participate in this marathon. Personally, I love the volunteers and the fact that it helps youth athletics. I see that past-years-events some handicap-able individuals who participated. Maybe one day I will! This community has got me fired up enough to do it. I wait in bound anticipation for what this year brings. More...
Great race good people
It was my first 1/2 marathon. I was the last one in at 6.41 and they walked me in encouraging me the whole way. Very walker friendly. They stood by what they advertised of creating fitness awareness by allowing me to attempt and finish my first 1/2 marathon even though I took longer then the alotted time frame. More...

1st half Marathon. Very walker friendly. They encouraged me all the way. Mary Reed
Awesome event! Very very well organized and run. Plenty of thoroughly packed aid stations and the course support was fantastic. Very nice medal and all for a good price too! This my 45th marathon state and I’m very glad I chose this one for my Oregon adventure! More...
The race was flat and fast as promised. There were a few glitches with the return shuttles but overall you could tell the amount of care the race director and other volunteers really put in to try to make this a good experience. It may have been a tiny bit long but I have no complaints with any of the race itself and thought both the course and on-course race support were goos”d (e.g., nice point-to-point run, plenty of pacers who kept on pace, plenty of on-course aid and restrooms, nice on-course volunteers providing direction and traffic support, etc.). I would do it again if I lived in the area. More...
This was my first full marathon and I was stoked because it finished in the town where I grew up! The flat course was a huge plus for a marathon rookie and the aid stations were well stocked and always close by. Great communication from the organizer leading up to the event. Thanks to all the volunteers that came out so early and supported everyone all day!! More...
The half marathon was a flat course with lots of aid stations. My watch showed the half marathon course being 13.33 miles and it looks like other participants had similar results. The drop off shuttle from the Hilton Garden Inn to the starting area worked well for us (we were on the second shuttle), but there were issues with the return shuttle from the finish line to the hotel (we waited 40+ minutes and no shuttle ever came by). The race director’s wife and some other volunteers stepped up and drove us back to the hotel in their own vehicles. More...
Thank you for the wonderful marathon race. My friend and I truly enjoyed it. We loved the positive atmosphere at the Expo and loved hearing the inspiring stories. Packet pick up went smoothly and we are thrilled with our t shirts. The shuttle came on time and brought us directly to the starting line. The course was beautiful and had great directions with signs and volunteers directing us which way to go. I loved that it was a point to point marathon. We were thankful for so many aid stations and the port a potties. My friend was battling stomach issues so she was very grateful for those! I had the opportunity to run with a few your pacers and they were so encouraging and positive. They helped me get to mile 22. My original plan wasn’t to run with a pacer, but I’m thankful that they were there. I couldn’t have finished without them. I’m grateful for your positive cheerleaders at the finish line. I knew I wouldn’t have anyone to greet me at the finish line so it was nice to hear someone cheering for you. The medal was also beautiful. It has a beautiful ribbon and I love the design. I got a nice stretch from your sponsor Therapeutic Associates which really helped with my leg cramps. That was a nice service to offer. I would highly recommend this race. It may not have all the bells and whistles of bigger marathons, but for the price (which was quite affordable), it offered the essentials and offered a positive and encouraging atmosphere. We will be back next year! More...
Poorly organized but a scenic flat run. Hopefully the organization improves. While waiting for the bus many people were already saying they would not return.
I have been a pacer for the half since the first year and served as captain for the last two years. I have seen it all and seen how far this race has come. This year they took on a new course which was flat, very beautiful and almost eerie at points because of the fog on the grasslands. The course itself was well supported and had well-manned water stations that yo.well stocked with fuel to recover and a stretching area. This is a small no-frills race so the expectations should be as such. They seek to be a budget-friendly, all abilities friendly race. They had their challenges with shuttles this year but being ran by volunteers the challenges they have had in the past they met head-on and got better the next year. I will be back as long as they will have me. PS-The one thing I would really love is for bigger mile marker signs that are more stable in the wind next year. More...
Fun race. Great Support! Beautiful course and awesome volunteers. Flat and fast...great for #BQ.
This was my first marathon and I had a blast! September was a great time to hold it, as the weather wound up being dry but cloudy, with temps in the fifties for most of the race.
I ran the full yesterday, and had a really great experience. It was incredibly friendly, well marked, lots of aid stations always well stocked. Not sure if I’ll ever run one again but I would absolutely do this one again! The volunteers were incredibly friendly and that made all the difference! Also the stretching at the end saved me! Great race. More...

I loved running the half marathon this year!! The course was diverse, well laid out, and clearly marked. All the volunteers were cheerful and helpful. I loved the food at the end, the music and the great energy and enthusiasm of all those involved. It was very evident that great care and thought went into every detail of this fantastic race. My first Marathon! This was a great experience, extremely well marked course not only that but someone at every turn cheering you on was great, big thanks to them! Aid stations lots of them, after mile 20 my belt was empty and I was almost running on empty, they really helped me finsh, they had everything I was even able to get a gel packet. I will run it again, and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you! More...
I do travel out-of-state for races from time to time and when I heard about this one, I had to participate. From the amazing/scenic course to the incredible volunteers, friendly participants & spectacular weather, I'd have to give kudos for a job well done. This was my first race ever and it could not have been any better! The energy on the course was amazing, everyone cheering each other on was inspiring. What a great event! Where can I find results for this year's race? I will be back next year!
What a race race. Perfect marathon for beginners. The route is flat.
I loved the race!! The 2:15 1/2 marathon pacer Maureen was amazing!! She was so encouraging and supportive . She made this race experience a success.
Great event. Very flat out and back course. Volunteers were friendly and always cheering. Food and free stretching at the finish.
Great event! I just ran the half today! The race seemed well organized and the course is fast and flat as described and runs through lovely neighborhoods and parks, nicely shaded, lots of beautiful trees and greenery, etc. Loved the venue for the start and finish. Loved the free hot dog or burrito option at the end for participants and BTW the "dawg's" were great and the fellow that owns and runs the hot dog stand was really cool!! He even took the time to snap a few pics of my friend and I for us. Enjoyed the live music while we were eating and waiting for award announcements. I would definitely run this race again and since I won a free race entry (division award) I plan to do just that next year! More...
The inaugural event last year was so fun! Great flat scenic route. Awesome medals. I would so do it again.

This was a very well organized marathon, especially for an inaugural one! Beautiful and fast course. I got a new PR! Great support along the course, especially in the last hard miles. The race director even ran with me for a little bit. :-) I would definitely recommend it. It was small being it's first year but I expect to see it grow a lot in the coming years. More...
